Just something I found funny and cool.

Note: For my Creative Writing Class, I was given a project to write any sort of story I wanted. This is the fruits of my labor; Titled "The Awakening," it was ment to give a history of Corey Stewart AKA LinksLife. It was divided into 4 parts, each lasting about 4-5 pages. The reason I did this was because I had never given Links a real proper backstory and this would be the perfect chance to both improve my skills and do something I enjoyed. Some of the things in here I had to change because otherwise, the class would not have understood everything (some hadn't even heard of The Matrix which suprised me). I want to extend a thanks to TheGreatWyrm who gave me the idea so long ago. My teacher still wants to meet with you, you crazy bastard!

The Awakening

A Short Story

You know, from time to time I like to go through my old photobucket album, looking at some of the very old pictures I took back in the day... good lord! I was maybe 14 when I started this game... and now I'm 2 weeks shy of 18! Christ... time flys eh?

Anyways, I like to do this every once and a while, post some old pictures that have collected dust on the other side of the internet. Here are a few.

This one was taken during the Nightfall event, during the sea of spawns in Mara C (I pratically lived in there, along with a few others...) Notice any old faces? H4TE comes to mind... with nothing on, of course. SMILEY

Phrack will enjoy this one... Oh yeah... when I say old, I mean OLD!

Here is the first picture I took of my first real faction (I say real because I try to forget my time in The Cyber Cartel... Phrack will tell you why.)

Ahhh... here is the short lived (and I mean short lived) time I was in the same faction with Phrack. Who would have thought?!

Now this picture was taken in the real early days of the MCPD (note, not all the Advocates were like this... pltchaos was always like this... I swear!)

Hmmm... I wonder how many people still remember this?

And so I will leave you with one last picture... and while it was staged, after finding it I was ROFLing for 5 minutes. RIP Gothique, you crazy woman.

So... now I take it over to you guys. What old pictures can you dig up, from ages past? I myself have found pictures of people I haven't seen in almost 3 years... Man do I miss them!

*GASP* Links is still alive?! Shocking isn't it? Well... I'm here to make an annoucment. As some of you may know, (and by that, I mean the three I told on Xfire) I'm going to be getting a brand new, very nice computer. Reason being, this computer is about to drop dead on the floor. Hopefully I'll be recieving this new computer by August, when I'll be reinstalling most of my games.

MxO will not be one of them.

Sadly, I haven't jack in in almost 5 months. For me, the game, the whole Matrix story has lost its interest. And I just can't see myself still playing this game anymore. I am most shocked, because I swore 2 years ago that I wouldn't leave this game no matter what. I had always assumed that I would stick by it, through thick and thin to the very end. I guess I won't.

This game... has changed me. I remember, when I first logged in on this computer, I was around lvl 11, and I just explored... I was amazed at the detail, the people, the enemies, EVERYTHING. I was maybe 13-14 years old at the time. I can safely say, this game brought out a lot from me... Through the years, I learned how to really Role-play, how to improve my story telling skills, how to interact with people on the Internet. And the people I met changed me. From my first real faction leader, Anubitz, to Gothique, Phrack, Vanil, AlicethePattern, WGAnubis, Sieges, Iovai, and GreatWyrm, I learned so much. I have made many, MANY friends in this game, many of whom I still chat with even now. I can't thank the whole community enough for the joy they gave me, the fun I had with them, and the great memories.

Fighting side-by-side with Fenshire against Mevrs back in the day, Hunting down the Assassin in the MCPD/Machines, my many conversations with people like Wyrm, Alice, Vanil and Sieges, to my fights with WGAnubis and our "interesting" couterparts.

I could go on and on... but there are a few people who I would like to shout out to specificly.

Gothique: No matter what anyone says about you, you truely introduced me into RP, and I can't thank you enough.

Fenshire: You were a great comrade when we worked together, and you were a role model to me during your time in the MCDoE. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you do.

Alice: You were always looking out for me. We've had our ups and downs, but we always seemed to fix them. I can say that without you, I wouldn't have nearly been as good an RPer.

Anubis: Man... how things have changed. I think when I first met you, you were facing down Fenshire with the threat of your virus. You were very cold to Links IC, but OOC, you helped me flesh out Vanon and I can't thank you enough for that. You were a wonderful friend, and I look forward to fighting you again should the oppotunity arise!

Vanil: "Prince"... your writing had always made me strive to work harder, to write wonderful stories such as yours. I can say that working in the Masquerade was wonderful, and I'm going to miss our fun little chats on that Camon rooftop.

Wyrm: Wyrm, Wyrm, Wyrm... at first when you and Anubis had offered me the chance to join the Advocates, I was a little uneasy... I was worried that you were going to do something terrible to Links, and he was going to never be the same. Turns out I was right! But because of your IC insanity, you brought out something I thought I never could do... RP a twisted man, who's emotions were always confliciting with his mentality. You really made me into who I am today.

Iovai: Doc... All the fun we had... Our very random OOC chats about Nintendo and Zelda were always refreshing in a world hell-bent on Halo and GTA being gods. And The Master Sword belongs to me! ME I TELL YOU!

And last but not least... Sieges: I think you were the kindest and most welcoming person I ever had the pleasure to meet in MxO. When I first joined the Advocates, I knew only the captains, but you were the first to really welcome me, and talk to me. Through you, I was able to really enjoy my time with the Advocates when at first I was unsure about it. As time passed, and people did, we became almost brother and sister, and I had a connection that I couldn't have with anyone else in the game. Our IC chats were always different, many made me smile. Out of everyone else, I think I'm going to miss seeing you the most in-game. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

There are so many others that made the game enjoyable for me, but I can't really remember them much, so forgive me if I didn't mention you.

So whats next for me? Well WoW has become my new crack (sadly, the game is just too darn fun... SCOURGE!!!). Currently, I'm situated on Azjol-Nerub (MORE SCOURGE!) and go by LinksLife on my main there. So for all you other WoWers, if your ever on the server, stop by and say hello! I'm also always on Xfire (linkslife) so feel free to chat there.

As for Links in-game, I might stop in once more, just to say goodbye to those that I've connected with. From an RP standpoint, after whatever Vanil has planned for Links in the Revolution, he will be staying in the Real, not jacking in, but still be a slight pressence for the game. If you would like to RP with me, I'd be more than happy to, as long as you don't force me to jack-in.

Once again, to everyone I've ever met, thank you all for being so supportive of me. I will miss you all so much.

Well, after a few hours in Datamine, I gotta say...

I LOVE IT!

The Collective Death Squad and the Zion Zerg were going at each other and anyone they could find, which really kept me on my toes those few hours. The $info... And I discovered that Master Shadow is my best friend. I've only died once, and that was when I first went in and was being a noob by going by myself with Duelist loaded... >_<

This is just a fun thread that I thought might be a good way to see how everyone's music taste are. Pretty much, you suggest a song, any song, that reminds you of The Matrix series. Anywho, my song would have to be hands down Forsaken by Within Temptation. It is a post-apocalyptic song that really made me shiver the first time I heard it (doesn't help that it was a song for a Neon Gensis Evagelion AMV... SMILEY ). The lyrics remind me a great deal of The Second Renaissance and the end of humanity's control as the dominate species on Earth. I high recommend the song.

The snake lunged at me. I quickly dodged it's head and twisted my body so I was facing it's skin. With a quick thrust, I plunged my blade into its soft skin. The snake hollowed in pain before facing me again, this time with a new found purpose.

I finally spoke after a minute of silence.

For those of you who thought I was gone... Think again. The Ouroboros may have died, but the ashes will give rise to the phoenix. Through the wonderful Prince of Darkness, I have finally killed the Leviathan in me, no longer a slave to the will of the Serpent. I shall make my return tonight. *As you read through the recent events, you spot a post marked "Let The Hunt Begin." You become interested and begin to read through the message*

Attention Operatives:

As many of you now know, The Merovigian Operative LinksLife was shot by an assassin. Fellow Operative Vanil has taken LinksLife into an unknown construct but it is believed LinksLife is dead. Now Justice must be served. Information about this assassin's employeer is needed. Afterwards... well that is up to the one who finds him.

From the information that was given, we have discovered the following: The assassin goes by the name of MrFrank. While he serves Zion, MrFrank has been hired by a Machinist. The hit took place in Uriah though it is not known if MrFrank stays there much. He likes to work with guns.

There was another character whom we believe was also working with MrFrank but the operative never gave his name. Be on the look out for a partener.

No reward is being offered at this time.

((Okay, here is how this will work. At around 8PM EST, MrFrank will jack in somewhere inside Richland. MrFrank will only be in Richland. He cannot use Hardlines (Except when Reconstructing) or Teleports nor can he enter buildings. When he jacks in, he will be in PvP. For Zion, you'll have to duel (Curse the Orgs!) him.

An Org must kill MrFrank 3 times before he gives in. He will reconstruct at the nearest Hardline and run for 5 minutes until he turns his PvP flag back on. Once he has been killed 3 times by the same Org, he will surrended to the person who killed him. It will be up to that person/people what to do with him.

While there will be no reward, the information will be useful for the next part of the event. I plan to hold an event once every other day until the climax. I hope to see a big turn out! If you have any comments/suggestions or questions post them here.))

I just created a Beach construct that I am opening to the public, (I mean all orgs of course) free of charge! Thats right, a beach construct, free of charge! But whats so speical about this construct you ask yourself? I'll tell you why! Because it's quite possibly my greatest work of art yet! That and the fact that it is the best experince you'll have!

I'll be at the Machine Archive area for the next week. I ask that you drop off all guns with me. I don't want my work of art getting bloody. So come on down! Relaxation is only a construct away!

Yup its finally come! The retakes have been set! I'm sorry for the long delay but I was very busy with all the events and RP. The dates are set for 6/16, 6/17 and 6/18 starting at 7PM EST-9PM EST. I know that the DoE has their RPing thing on the 16th but this way we can get as many people who missed the first one to make it.

The day I first played MxO on my new computer... I was... shocked to say the least... I had always thought I had white hair... SMILEY

LinksLife looked at the man before him. Long... lanky... weak. But a Frenchman severent and therefore he had to show him with the respect that others would show him.

He was in a strange room... a building that he didn't even know existed. But he was alright with that... after all he wanted to do this with as few people as possible. Not even The Great Wyrm knew of what he was going to do. But Links was alright with that... Wyrm would learn of this soon enough.

The man looked neverous. "Are you sure you want to go through with this Monsieur? I can understand if-"

"No I must go through with this... I must prove that I am not the same Links that everyone had come to know. Lets get this over with." said Links coldly. He knew all the reasons as to why he was going to do this. The sign of the Ouroborus was more than just a sign. It symbolized the passing of all his previous lifes... His bluepill life... The life of Vanon... The old Links. Three lifes had come and gone... it was only right that he put this sign on him.

The severent took a small metal object with a design carved into it and places it in a blazing fire. After a few minutes he took it out, the metal glowing light red. Links fell on his knees and held out his right hand. The man stoped when he saw that Links had left his gloves on. " Um... Monsieur? Don't you think..." Links glared at the severent and the man didn't contiune his sentence.

He placed the metal on the back of Links' right hand and a awful hiss rang out as hot metal met leather and flesh. Links also let out a hiss as he struggled to keep his hand from moving away. After about 5 seconds of pain the man pulled the metal away and stood silent. Links stayed on his knees for a second, gripping his hand. He let a small chuckle escape his lips as he slowly rose from the ground. "Thank you sir... you may leave now." Links hissed. The severent ran out as fast as he could.

"With this symbol... my fourth life begins!"

((For those of you who don't know, the Ouroborus is a winged serpent that consumes its own tail representing the cycle of life and death. I thought it would be fitting for Links... seeing as he has gone through the cycle a few times. For a visual, the symbol is on my sig.))

Lately I have been getting many questions relating to my desision to join the Devil's Advocates and other things. So I figured I would make a small little FAQ for everyone so they can understand some of the choices I made.

Q: Why did you kill off Vanon?

A: Vanon was something I wanted to try out. I got the idea after seeing WGAnubis work his magic with Marrith so I desided to give it a go. At first I loved it. But soon afterwards it was starting to get annoying switching personalitys. I don't know how Anubis can do it but he sure as hell can do it better than me! Plus I was getting a few OOC flames from people saying I was a copycat even though Anubis and I had sat down and talked about it.

Q: Wait... I thought you were going to join the MCDoE!

A: That was my first plan. But it didn't sit well with me... The Matrix isn't all happy and stuff. And it really had nothing to do with the faction itself. I love the guys there and I have a lot of friends too. Some people thought it was because I didn't like any of the DoE memebers and that is just not true.

Q: So... why the Advocates?

A: I had always wanted to join the DA ALONG time ago. Even though they were a Mevr faction their RPing skills were top notch and I wanted to be a part of that. But because at the time I was working with Gothique they would never trust me. So I gave up figuring that I wouldn't make it. But when the DA offered me a chance to join them as apart of an event we were planning I got really exicited. But I had plans to join the DoE. After a while I finally desided to join the DA.

Q: U R TEH SUX!!!!111111!!!

A: -_- *sighs* Go back to WoW...

While I'm at it I ask that the IC/OOC line not be crossed with me. I don't deal with it well. If you don't like the way I treat you IC then please don't flame me OOC. I may be mean spirited IC, but if you ask anyone who knows me OOC you will know that I would never insult anyone OOC... Unless you flame me first OOC. Then it is on! SMILEY

Reports continue to come in of new sightings of the Exile known as Vanon. His aggressive actions continue to escalate, and with Marrith adding to the fuel of anger it's only a matter of time now before his termination is bumped up sufficiently that it becomes an inevitability. Perhaps concurrent to that are the most recent leaked transcripts from Cypherite Operatives captured and interrogated in the past days. While nothing concrete has been extracted, the tidbits that have been indicate that the Cypherites have been keeping tabs on the demonic Program. Why, we still don't know be we can expect things to get very dangerous.

Finally, there has been an increase in chatter from Merovingian channels about The Great Wyrm. The Ambassador of The Devil's Advocates has been out of sight for some time now, and his vendetta with both LinksLife and Vanon is well documented. While it's unclear what, if any role, he will play, most agree that it's a safe bet the Draconigena Nauarchus will be up to something in the coming days.

I sent Raijin a PM a few days ago asking if I could have a new forum rank but I have not gotten a message back... I know he has contacted others but not me... I'm thinking of sending him another request but I'm not sure how I should address it.

So how did you guys get your new ranks is what I'm asking. I really want one but I'm not sure how to ask.

I was thinking about it... Perhaps it would be nice if we as a community could create a x-fire chat room that everyone would use and just hang out and talk with everyone. Would be a great way to advertise and plan events, trade and just have fun.

If anyone is willing to do this please do so! I wish I could but I don't have the time... T-T

) The Anime Photo Shoot will begin! There will be mulitipule pics inculding one big pic of everyone and smaller pics such as with factions only and then maybe even two enemys *looks at Anubis with an evil grin*. Expect me to be spamming this all over the place (which is really rare... because I never spam... O.O).

Well to get everyone in that anime spirit for the photo shoot this Satuday I figured we should know your anime taste. So what's your favoites? Mine go as followed (in order of best to worst):

1. Fullmetal Alchemist(anime) Its funny but is also heartbreaking and really has an amazing storyplot.

2. Ghost in the Shell(anime) This is a given. A Matrix like style and a very confusing story...

3. Neon Genesis Evangelion(anime) So... much... mecha... blood... So... crazy...

4. Hellsing(manga) Just got into this story and loving it so far!

5. Ragnorok(manga) I like all storys baseed on Norish myth. Plus Loki kicks so much *CENSORED*.

6. Blech(manga) I would so love to kick Hollow *CENSORED* with that big sword!

7. Cowboy Bebop(anime) I love Ed. Sooooooooo funny!

8. Inuyasha(anime) Gets repeative after awhile...

9. Ranma 1/2(both) Unless you like a boy changing into a girl...

Vanon handed the Archivist his key. Though he swore he would never return to this place until he saved Martel and killed Marrith, he felt he needed to go there to train. The Archivist began to send Vanon to the root area that the key specified. In a matter of seconds he was turned into code and disappeared.

The code began to recompile itself. Vanon opened his eyes to find himself in a white room with a singal door. "Just how I left it..." he said to himself as he walked to the door. He pulled out a small key from his pocket and placed it in the hole of the door knob. Almost instanly the door decompiled itself, allowing Vanon to continue. As he walked through the door it began to recompile. He was now standing before a giant wall of flames... a firewall. A voice rang out from nowhere. "Question?"

Vanon smirked. "What was the first thing Martel ever gave me?" "Answer?" "A kiss." The flames died down, and he walked across the room until he reached another door. He didn't even look back as the flames shot up again. The door in front of him looked nothing like a door. It didn't have a door knob rather a gaint key hole on the middle. Vanon pulled out NightShade and placed the blade in the hole. The door decompiled like the first one and allowed him to enter. He had made it.

He was now in a beautiful city, nothing like Mega City. The sky was as blue as can be and the sun shined down on the city. As he passed people they all greeted him with a smile or a wave. He... had made this... this perfect paradise. A place with no killing... a place that he and Martel would live in. All the people were Proxies he had made. It had taken him two years to make but he felt it would be worth it all in the end. He would destroy every key to the construct so that they could live here forever, without anyone to bother them.

He walked into a small dojo. In the middle, a man stood there almost frozen in time. Vanon discarded his trench coat and glasses. "Hmmmmm... Vanon." he said and the man turned into code. It began to recompile until another Vanon stood there, same stance, same blade, same look. It would be here that for the next week or so he would train himself for the coming battle with Marrith. He would save Martel. He would kill Marrith. And they would return to their Perfect Paradise.

Vanon charged his clone.

Yes since I can't be here for a number of events I would love to be in, I figured I'd let you guys know how my vaction is going so far! Its 9:00AM here and I got nothing better to do.

Day 1

Woke up at 3:00AM on Friday to begin the long trip to Florida. 13 hours of car driving can really bore someone... I got so bored that I didn't even want to play my Nintendo DS (Which is highly addictave (I could pwn you all in Mario Kart)). Finally we reach our hotel and because my father has connections we get 3 rooms. 2 of my sisters get their own room, my parents get their own room and I gotta share my room with Sara... We enjoy the free cable to the fullest... that is until the couple in the room next to us start banging each other... I swear I was going to yell "SHUT THE HELL UP!"

Day 2

We leave at 3:00AM once again to make good time. The next 6 hours go by fast until finally we reach my grandparents home. All in all we make it to Tampa in 19 hours. We take a long rest, swim in 87F pool water, and enjoy more free cable. Then we go to The Devil Rays game (which is baseball for all you Candians SMILEY

). I felt really dirty at the game mainly because I wore a Boston Red Sox cap, a New England Patriots shirt and Boston Celtics shorts... I love Boston incase you couldn't tell. Some people gave me dirty looks, others snickered at me, one guy gave me the figure and I swore that some lady mouthed Johnny Daemon to me (Which brough a tear to my eye because he went to the Yankees on my birthday... T-T). All in all a interesting night.

Day 3

Thats right now. Happy Easter! Well we are going to eat a bunny... one of those Peeps bunnys (SOOOOOOOO GOOD!). Thats all for now... look to tommowr of day 4 of LinksLife's crazy adventures in Tampa Bay! SMILEY
