The Matrix Online free trial is available from FilePlanet from May 3 through May 15, 2006.

Is the duration of May 3 - May 15 just the availability of the download or the actual trial itself? I mean, is it still going to be a 10 day trial? If so, would someone be able to get it at May 14, and play until 24th, or does it cap off on the 15th?

Yeah I've made a /ccr ticket with a new character on vector, awaiting their response. I'll give the live chat a run in a few hours when it comes online.

I've had a thought that someone may have deleted him. I'm hoping to high heaven that this is just some sort of bug, but one other person knows my account details. Can't think why they would delete my character though... ah well.

Ok, starting to panic here. Was playing with my character last night, may 1st, all was fine. Went to bed.

Woke up this morning, decided to log on, and he's gone! No character for syntax is there! What the hell?!

I've had something like this happen to me, although I don't think its the same thing.

A while ago I used Maki-Oteshi (Aikido master move) on an enemy NPC during a mission. The animation played, my IS is
drained for the move... yet, its as if it never happened. No recognition of it happening appears in the system message box, and no
damage occurs to the enemy :smileyindifferent:

Happened to me twice so far.

It does look real.. and yeah, the spaces after the name are more likely to be an event character. Like Smooveness said, if it is a phony it's very well done.

Edit: They put spaces next to the certain event characters names to prevent people from messaging them and/or adding them to buddy list

Out of curiosity, has the 'Care Bare Stare' been implemented yet? It still seems that the 'opposite of leaving a trail of bodies in your wake' is happening.

In this Developers Journel, the opening 3 paragraphs state that 'one of the best things about the matrix online was blasting your way through a pack of NPCs and leaving a trail of bodies in your wake', and that with the new combat revision, the total opposite seems to have happened.

I thought that this Developers Journal meant that it had been fixed? Or was it a notice that they will fix it in the future?

Sweeet, I share your feelings on this. Although SoE isn't to blame for the game itself, they do have the power to make it better. So please do so, Sony.

Heh, well I had fun. Even though I didn't even try to attack the
Assassin - I think I was the only person on syntax at the time who
wanted to defend him... So yeah spent my time trying to fight against
the people attacking him, despite the fact that he killed me anyway
numerous times :smileyvery-happy:
And the people shouting abuse at me because I was not helping the
hundreds of people who were already fighting the assassin amused me too!

assassin, I kept wondering why he kept appearing at club Sanguine. And

3am on a sunday night/monday morning is very hard for many people (this
is GMT/BST - UK people) as most of us have school or work.

People who take it upon themselves to crowd and suffocate the GMs /
Live Event characters whenever they come online. And then shout
pointless questions such as " IZ TRINITY STLL LIVE? LOZL." And then
they complain about the lag. Which they are causing by crowding into
such a small space.

I'm sure i'll think of more.

Heh, I had some trouble with the station name thing too.. Just ended up throwing some random numbers in there.

Other then that, everything went smoothly for me.
