Is using Archive Missions a good way to level? It seems quite slow to me, as it takes quite a few individual missions to level. Would it be better to take the standard missions (fast length and hard difficulty) from your organizations contact? I haven't got a chance to compare XP gain.

I haven't played in quite awhile... Where is most of the PvP found on Syntax? In the Constructs?

I'm coming back to try out the game again. I've heard Rarebit left (hopefully they're going to supply a new Dev and not kill the game entirely), though I do miss the subject matter and atmosphere that this game presented. I also don't know of many other MMO's that incorporate Martial Arts in the way that this one presents itself. I couldn't get very far the last time I tried the game out a few years ago. I was playing on a very old computer and was having loading problems the whole time. I do think I made it to the 20-30 level range before giving up, though. The interiors in the buildings weren't so bad for playing on that old rig, but the outside murdered me. I've completely forgotten how to play, and most of the guides I've read are pretty out-dated. If I remember correctly, though... you can pretty much buy all of the skills and change your loadout any time you want. Freedom like that is what brings me to games. I don't want to be stuck in some archetype/profession and not be able to change what my character can learn. At least this system fits into the theme of the Matrix easily. It also makes it easier not to really screw up anything... so many games force people to restart if they mess up their stats or skills. I guess I'll see you guys over on Syntax. Not sure if I'll keep my old character (if he's still around). I may just start over to re-learn the ropes or whatever...

Let me guess... live events don't happen on weekends because the staff doesn't work on them? Sheesh, one of the things I subscribed to play for and I don't think they even have them on the only time I'm able to play because of work.

My operative is a Devoted Ascetic so I upped my vitality up to around 8-9... I just realized that maybe I should leave everything at 8 and focus entirely on focus and belief.. what should I be looking at in stats once I max out my levels. Should I be something around 20 belief and 20 focus?

Just popped in my new 128 mb ati radeon 9550... I just have to say wow. I don't even have my gig of ram yet, because UPS is *CENSORED* and I had to give them a piece of my mind and I'm going to see if it comes in tomarrow because I ordered it air delivery. I still get some slowdowns because I'm half the RAM I should be but the game looks GRRRRR-EEEEAAAT even on average settings.. makes me just wanna freak out. Better lookin' than my 64mb geforce2 that wasn't even supported. I'm gonna register for my MxO account now because just playing it for five minutes with my new card makes me want to be a customer now Plus, I'll actually be able to reply to my *CENSORED* posts.

Somewhere down the line when I get into a Organization and everything, if I ever decide I don't want to be in it anymore is there a way to traitor over to another organization? Not that I want to do this or anything, just asking so I'm not stuck with my character being in the same Org forever if something big happens that sways me over.

Well, I have my graphics card and I have the RAM on order. I guess it was good to spend a little extra money, since I did get a little extra. I was in a bad car accident and I was on medical leave so I got 100% of my wages from work plus 60% of my wages from the insurance company. I guess 140 bucks wasn't that much of a dent Now I have. P4 1.7 Ghz Processor (never changed, doubt i really need much more just yet) 1 GB of PC2100 DDR Ram (upped from 512, was originally 256,) ATI Radeon 9550 128 mb graphics card (upped from a 64 mb geforce 2, it ran the game fine but it just wouldn't load any colors besides black and white, i could only see white people with white hair too.) I know there's still room for improvement but hey, why spend a bunch of money when it isn't really needed.

I like the idea of Vector being a hostile enviroment like the matrix should be, but being a new player would I want to start my first character here? Am I -really- going to get jumped or is most of the PvP a OvO thing?

Figured out I can get 2 512 sticks for 27 bucks a pop. I just ordered a graphics card to play the game, unsure if i really -need- 1 gig to run the game good or will 512 suit me just fine. Opinions?

When I get my graphics card, I'm considering making a primary Martial Artist, most likely using Kung Fu and I want to be secondary as a duelist. I know you can change around but this is what I want my first go to be at, any abilities I should be looking for in both? I could probably load all for both when I get to max level.. best I've got is level 4 though on my trial account and I'm not sticking with that character when I really subscribe, heh. What's a good idea for 'well placed' stats? I was considering being a devoted ascetic, but I'm going to need to up that Vitality eventually.

What do I do with all of those code bits that I keep uploading to hardlines? Last question: When you get all of the abilities, can you switch from being an aikido grandmaster to kung fu grandmaster etc. and back.

Is it possible to change your stats from leveling up? If so then the personality types (Detached Spectator, etc.) are just a basis right? What would be a good starting personality type for someone who wants to be a Martial Artist/Duelist? I was looking at Devoted Ascetic but the vitality for that is pretty low. Unsure what a good stat build would be in the end, the guides I read don't really say much.

I started out on Recursion, I see a lot of zionites but that's probably just the area I'm in. Is Recursion really the best place to find a mix of all the factions? I would play the PvP server since it seems more realistic but it seems overly biased towards the Zionites in numbers. I'm going to restart after I get my card and trial a bit more, so I really want to find the best server for me. I'm a little confused with how things work still, I read quite a few guides but I'm unsure what I'm doing. I keep putting points into the awakened skill each level like it showed me in the tutorial. To get other skills you can just simply purchase them with your Info at any time, but there's a level req to use them? Shouldn't I be able to raise skills as well? Another question might I add, since I don't want to make too many threads.. what does the combat look like against a bunch of level 50's is it basically just the luck of the roll since they're all pretty much evenly matched? It seems like whoever has the best status effects on will win.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...5&CatId=880 Will that run the game, I guess it's considerably better than the 9200. It has the shader and crap everyones talking about. My *CENSORED* posts keep getting deleted, so yeah.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...p;sku=TC3H-1064 Pretty good deal, and it has smart shader and stuff. Either that or a PNY Verto Geforce FX 5550.. I don't know what the Geforce has but it has good reviews and it only costs $30.

Still can't reply to my own topics.. Well will a Radeon 9200 play it, I found one for $40? Next thing I know you guys will tell me I need to go from 512 mb of RAM to 1000 MB of RAM, honestly it's not worth doing all this stuff to play a game I probably won't like, all I wanted to do was trial it. Maybe I should go play SWG.

Well I finally got my key and spent all day downloading, I get in the game and it says my graphics card is not supported. What kind of idiots design one game out of all other games that I can actually play, that does not support Geforce 2. I guess my decision to play is already made up for me, nothing else is wrong with the game except I can't change -my- haircolor, I see everyone elses just fine and the rest of the game runs fine. I don't want to hear stories about how I -need- a new graphics card, because I don't nearly play games enough to -need- to waste my money. I have enough things to worry about because of a vehicle accident than having to buy a card just to change my hair from white to brown, what a nice way to design a game that monopolizes on making people buy ATI's.

Oddly enough, my system meets the minimum requirements but for some reason it said my graphics card does not worth with it. I have a GeForce2 which is a 64 meg card. In character creation, my persons hairstyle will not change from white and i'm unable to add tattoos.

While I've been sitting here waiting to actually play, I've been looking at sites. I found one that shows all the trees and I had a question. Lets say I go down the path of a gunslinger and I become a pistol user, does that not enable to be a martial artist now? Or can I always go back and pick up those skills and somehow integrate kung-fu with using a pistol?
