I realized that I have not been seeing mamy emails from MxO so I went and checked my registration page which has the correct email and the newsletter page which has the correct selections. Still I see nothing from MxO. Anyone know when the last time they sent something out was? I did not even see anything when they had the keys that they were giving out. Checking here before escalating this to support Thanks,

Well seems like the email system just gave a very nasty bug / downtime. As I was emailing items to someone the email system was not working, but instead of telling me that it just took the items out of my inventory and never delivered them to the other person. Real nice way to lose items. If you were emailing someone on recursion around the hours of 8 pm and 8:30 then it seems any items that you sent have gone into limbo. Hopefully they can get them back eventually

This post is about some long time bugs that we have had in the game that should have been fixed ages ago. I liked it before when we could watch the bugs being worked on and help the development team if they had questions. Using the new system just seems to be throwing the bug into the ether and never hearing back anything. I know the devs are doing a good job fixing other bugs, but it seems like some of these bad ones have been forgotten. The exploiting NPC bugs 1) NPC firing at you and hitting you when you get the message "can't see target" This occurs in quite a few places, like around the trees near Captain Falco in Creston Heights in Downtown. Thru the doors and the elevator doors in the Creston hideout. Thru doors that closed inside mission areas. In Zero one with the walls. Sorry for the high level places, but that is where I am playing now. Also includes in mission areas and thru closed doors in buildings. 2) This one is similar. The NPC that you are fighting in Free fire, backs up thru a wall and then breaks down your evade from behind the wall when you can't target them. They will also break it down even if you move out of the range that you can do a "Close Combat" attack. 3) NPC's fire beyond range of weapons they are using. Example: I am using a sub-machinegun (20m) and they have a pistol (16m). Before I get into Subgun range by moving slowly forward they send off a shot from where they are and hit me, but they are still out of Subgun range. 4) NPC's are still using the fast attack to break the shield. They hit the shields a few times in a row much faster than I can attack to break their shields. Now I know that this bug was fixed for us and deemed an exploit, but the NPC's are still doing that.

Now as a coder I am sure anytime someone asks you for a clothing item, etc at the hardline then there is lots of typing to tell them what it looks like, what buffs, etc. My suggestion is that you are allowed to drag the item from your Code Analyzer or Compiler to the person and it shows up like a trade window, but one that can't be accepted. The buyer then gets to see the item before it is made and examine it and the seller does not need to do so much typing. All that would be shown is the name of the item, and the normal preview mouseover that the coder sees. Now for this to work especially for the compiler then the VERY LONG STANDING BUG with the compiler not showing a mouseover preview needs to be fixed.

Ok I wanted to give out a word of warning on the new collector.
If you are a level 50, do not choose Requirement 2 or 4. It says
that you will get the XP disks and that you can sell them for double
the info, but you never get them. I hope that those below level 50
get them, but not sure on that. I have already bugged this.

Ok before CR 2.0 the disarming shot would disarm you until it expired. Now it gives you a minus in your Ballistic Accuracy. The bug is when you have hit some NPC's they are firing at you without a weapon in their hand. It does make for some comical scenes.

I thought I had seen something in the Update notes about being able to decompile or something else to Code Fragments and that would raise you coding level. I went to try it last night and I was not able to decompile the code Frag. Has anyone tried this?
I would of put this into the Coder part of the forum, but that is not
visited very often.

Ok I remember Walrus discussing how preferred weapons are supposed to work and looked it up.
Now the question is, did this ever make it into the live servers.
The reason why I am asking is because I can mark a gun preferred,
but at time I am seeing another gun being used. I have sent in a bug report,
but wondered if anyone else is having a problem. Mine seems to be
with an Enhanced FM-9K submachinegun and a Silenced version of that gun. The Enhanced one is marked preferred, but the Silenced gun keeps being slected. At least this is easy to figure out as the guns sound quite different.

Ok, I know that this might be hard to look up for some people. I am able to look it up because I have a spreadsheet of all my
recipes and saved the Pre Cr 2.0 stats of everything that I can make.
I will be going thru all my items, but I am seeing some very disturbing trends and these make me question the conversion effort for some items.
Ok first I have to guess that the Max Health buff was changed to Max Health bonus, what I am seeing there is that Max Health +30 to +200 converted to Max Health Bonus +1%, Max Health +300 was a +2%.
I would think that it should be +1% per 100.
Has anyone found buffs of Tap Data Node or Lockpicking? I ask because
of these 2 items Enhanced Crimson Arasiki Limit Racing Jacket - Pre CR 2.0 - (Tap Data Node Skill +9, Min Level 1
CR 2.0 - (Melee Damage Resistance +12, Thrown Resistance +12, Viral Resistance +12, Movement Speed Bonus +1%, Upgrade Crafting +1, Min Level 1
Enhanced Eggplant Reynolds Duster Highcollar Pre CR 2.0 - (Lock Picking +20, Min Level 15)
CR 2.0 - (Melee Damage Resistance +10, Thrown Resistance +10, Apparel Crafting +1, Viral Resistance +10, Healing Bonus +1, Min Level 15)
Notice that the skills are gone completely.
Does anyone else have some examples? I know that I will the more I go thru updating my spreadsheet.

Ok I was having a conversation the other night with someone who
was looking for female repair clothing. I looked in my spreadsheet
to see what I have and found a Enhanced Crimsoned Arasiki Leather Boots
with Pre CR 2.0 buffs of (Viral Resistance 5%, Concentration +6,
Karate Damage +25, Repair Skill +10, Min Level 24), but when I looked
at them in my Code Analyzer I saw that the Repair skill was completely
removed. This should of just been changed like the other Crafting / Coder
clothing was changed not have the skill completely removed. This does
seem like a bug to me and I did report it.
Now I do know that there are some Post CR 2.0 clothing and I do have some,
but the highest I see for Repair Skill is +2
Now this ties back into a thread that I made about Coder clothing
while doing CR 2.0 testing
I also noticed that Sugaree noted a little thread on clothing being real
hard to repair ie the Awakening Glasses
Has anyone found some high repair skill items? Has anyone also looked at some of their Pre CR 2.0 repair Skill items and seen the Repair completely removed?

I was thinking of this before when I read about a Respec coming and after going on the Test server I thought of it more. I noticed that some of the abilities are no longer there and I think a few of them are ones that could be leveled. So do we get $info for those? What if they are over level 20 and are not for sale and need a Red Frag? Do we get the Red Frag, and any bits needed to make them as well as any leveling $info? What about the people who are not coders and had someone make them a skill that is still in the game? Seems like they would need to find someone again to make the skill, but then they would need to get anything that is needed to make that skill.
Has anyone heard anything on this? Message Edited by DelstarDotstar on 03-15-200603:13 PM

Ok I am sure everyone knows about the /bits command which shows you how many of each code bit that you have in the loading area and your inventory. I am suggesting that we have a /frag command which shows us what and how many of each code fragment that we have. Now I would prefer this just for Red Frags, but if needed the Green ones are ok to show also.
Should appear like this in Alphabetical order. Operative Object = 20 Operative Interface = 10 etc

Ok, went over to the external test server the other night and what I saw worried me. I concentrated on crafting this first time. I used the clothing that I have on me. Look below and you will see what worries me, the crafting bonuses are getting a MAJOR negative change. These are crafting clothing now and everyone of them went from +10 or +15 to +1. They also got added on some extra buffs that have nothing to do with crafting. I hope that this is just a mistake, and it does not continue into the live servers This is what I have on for coding Enhanced Ash Plain Slacks old buffs - Map Downloading +10, Decompiling +10, Disguise Duration +20, Min Level 16 New buffs - Melee Damage Resistance +10, Melee Accuracy Bonus +1%, Decompile Skill +1, Viral Resistance +10, Heal Damage Bonus +1, Balistic Damage Resistance +10 , Min Level 16 I now have the shoes below, but need to wait to do a copy char to see thier stats Enhanced Avero Patterned Ankle Boots old buffs - Decompile Skill +5, Min Level 13 New buffs - Enhanced Black Misene Fauxskin Coat Old buffs - Weapon Crafting +10, Max Health +50, Min Level 16 New buffs - Melee Damage Resistance +10, Thrown Resistance +10, Weapon Crafting +1, Viral Resistance +10, Min Level 16 Enhanced Black/Light Gray Marcello Jacket and Tie old buffs - Health Regen Rate +20%, Weapon Crafting +15, Viral Deflection +20, Melee Damage +25, Melee Physical Damage Resist +10%, Min Level 32 New buffs - Melee Damage Resistance +21, Thrown Resistance +21, Melee Resistance Bonus +1%, Weapon Crafting +1, Viral Resistance +21, Melee Damage Bonus +1%, Min Level 32 Enhanced Green Yoshi Triga Trench old buffs - Melee Damage +12, Apparel Crafting +10, Viral Resistance +10%, Min Level 16 New buffs - Melee Damage Resistance +10, Thrown Resistance +10, Apparel Crafting +1, Viral Resistance Bonus +1%, Ballistic Damage Resistance +10, Min Level 16 Enhanced Brown Misene Pinstripes old buffs - Ability Crafting +15, Melee Combat Tactics +8, Force Combat +15%, Min Level 24 New buffs - Melee Damage Resistance +16, Melee Accuracy Bonus +1%, Viral Resistance +10, Ability Crafting +1, Ballistic Damage Resistance +16, Min Level 24

Ok we know that a bunch of the clothing will be changing from their old stats to new ones. Now I for one actually have a spreadsheet of all that I can make and what buffs each clothing item has. Could we get a list of the changes to each article of clothing? Something simple like
Item | Old buff | New Buff -----------------------------------------------|---------------------------------------------------------|-------------- Enhanced Black Arasiki Limit | Perception +2 Levels, Rifled Damage +10, | Speed Influance +2, Racing Jacket Highcollar (Diff 2 | Vitality +3 Levels, Min Level 16 | Rifled Damage +10, | | Vitality +3 Levels, | | Min Level 16 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is a very simple thing to do with a database and I am sure that the Devs already have something similar for the conversion to the new buffs. For anyone wondering how I made my spreadsheet the answer is TYPING. Now if you want to start one up yourself then you can save a little time with the /codestructs command See my notes on this command at

Ok I not sure when this came out, but in another topic http://mxoboards.station.sony.com/matrix/board/message?board.id=coder&message.id=277 Kwnart let me know about the /codesructs command. Kwnart suggested that anyone using it follow the steps below 1) Start the save chat log 2) type in /codestructs 3) End the save of the chat log. I tested out the /codestructs command and here are the early results.
Good things about it. It does list ?all? of the recipes that you can make. I put ?s around all because I can't verify that yet as I only tried it yesterday and the notes under "Bad things" will give some problems with checking. I only took a quick glance in the chat area and did not keep a log. I will check tonight if I have time and let you know what is in the saved chat log. Bad things about it. 1) The list only shows the names not any level, buffs, etc. Also there is an L that I saw appearing and I am not sure what that stands for. 2) It does not go in the order that is shown in the compiler. I am not sure what the order is, but I am guessing that it is either in difficulty order, or Item ID order without a clothing type being in the order. I.E. you would have shoes, shirt, coat, shoes, pants etc. 3) It does not tell other important info like Gender for clothing, cost of clothing, buffs for clothing, difficulty of clothing, or Red frag needed for clothing. What does this command save you? It will give you the name of the item that you can cut and paste out of the chat log. So it will save you from typing out the item name and making a mistake. As I check more into this I will update this topic.

I was doing a full check of my recipes in game and my spreadsheet of everything I have the other night. Now I had a difference of something missing that I remember having and that I had on my Spreadsheet. It is Arasiki Leather Pants difficulty of 5. Now I remember these because they did not list a color and now they are no longer on my compiler at all. Did anyone else have these? I am getting ready to put in a CCR also on this. I will add any other items that I find that are missing.

Well as I was on Super Bowl night I got a request for a meet and greet with a person named TheTailor. I checked out his details when I got there and they read like this. Name: code engineer Level: 5 Showed a code shaper icon. Background: One of the very first programs involved in the construction of the Matrix. The Tailor values aesthetics, foundation, form, and function above all else. The Tailor feels that someone with the ability to create a thing is always more powerful than someone capable of destroying a thing. I do have some screenies, but some were on my laptop which does not have a good video card. I just have to figure out somewhere to post the screenshots. His RSI very much resembled Floods. It was an interesting discussion. Has anyone else really talked to him?

So I noticed a mistake somewhere as I was looking at Data Node one and also looking at the boards. I clicked the Help link on the boards page that is in the upper right hand corner. Much to my surprise I found that the Matrix Online is not even listed here. Seems like we should have something there. I am sending in a petition on this also.

Anyone near the area and that wants to do this?

Well I see the patch on my way into the game and thought the servers must be down. So I went over to Data Node 1 to see what they said. No mention of a patch and the
servers are shown as open.
Once the launcher patches, I get to the server selection screen and they are all closed.
I look in the patch notes on the launcher and see nothing. I look in the forums and no mention
of the patch. I know Walrus is away, but how hard is it to have someone let us know what is
going on. If Walrus is the only one that does this then this is a problem.

Ok I have been submitting some CCR for problems that I have seen in the game and when I went over to the MxO SOE CCR web site -
I noticed that some of the problems that I had entered had been solved. I then
looked to see what had solved them and I found that there was no answer to the
problem not even a word of explanation. Someone had marked them as solved
and that was it. Not a real good way to solve bugs from what we are used to.
Can someone find out what is happening here? This does not make me feel
real motivated to put in CCRs for problems if no one is even going to answer them.
