Well, thanks to some weird a**ed billing issue, I wasn't able to subscribe in time for the cut off, due to SOE not accepting my debit info...even though its exactly the same as listed on my bank, but all that aside, I managed to get 3 days of account activation time so I can at least post here.

I'm still stuck in Iraq, been here for over a month now, and it’s pretty whatever.  Internet is super slow so I'm almost certain I will not be able to see the final days of this game I've played since Beta.  I'd like to just say thanks to the friends I've made on here, helped pass the time and escape from reality when I was in high school.  We had ups and downs, but I'd like to keep in touch with anybody that I might have ran around with for a little bit.  I really wish that I could see the final days of mxo out but I'm sure there will be plenty of screenshots out there.  I kind of had a feeling this would happen when I wrote my last, going away post, I said I'd come back if the game was still here...well...so much for that.  I believe that things could have gone in a better direction had there been better upkeep.  I'm not saying anything that I'm sure you all are well aware of or had already known, but this was the only mmo to ever keep my interest.

I had to submit multiple tickets and debate my way into some form of activation status, using the argument, what the hell does it matter now?  The game is getting cancelled, might as well let those that have been around for a while see it out.

It’s been fun, I'll miss all the antics of the mxo recursion cast, all the accusations of sploits, and of course dodging of the banhammer, the past years were great up until recursion became a wasteland.

Anyways, all I really want to say is goodbye and it’s been fun.  I loved this game back in the day, and I'll miss logging in periodically to see what’s new, but I just kind of lost interest in the storyline when it strayed away from what I was a fan of from The Matrix trilogies, to some random people doing random nonsense to the code, it was pretty repetitious...and I just couldn't feel any motivation to rp, because it was no different than a game about real life...except you know kung fu, can talk sh*t to people without getting your a** really whooped, can jump really high ...can't do anything, and trench coats, well people wear those in real life too, but yeah.

Anyways, I've canceld my account...not for the first time, but possibly for the last time, I doubt I'll come back to mxo, you know with the leave of Rarebit and what not, it'll be come one of those games that justs exists, like...diablo.

SSR Glasses are better than them buff-wise, anyhow. And a lot more easy to get, too.

Have to disagree with the ease factor there, 10 earpieces and 120 gums take alot more time and players to get than spending 1-2 hours on wright, who can be killed by 3 people (2 with a stretch). I often see them worn at mara c actually.

Also, guess green gi giants are pretty happy about those wireframe items.

Because if you know how to use it properly it is a unfair easy kill load, even though it kills over time, its pretty much guarenteed if you get all your hacks in, so, I dont want it to provide any unfair advantages, besides, the object is to stay alive, not kill until the singal has been given, so, you will be evading while the zombies bite, once the go ahead is given then you may attack with your hacks and loads and junk, otherwise you'll be playing defense.

Rules: The object is to survive and avoid being bitten and transformed into a zombie, this is a Free for all event, you are allowed to choose teams, however once a zombie its anything goes.  No hyperjump, shadow, sneak, going indoors, or killing of the alpha zombie until the go ahead is given will be allowed, or you will be disqualified, you may however stun, root, and use hacks other than Vecter/Ravager, guns, and of course, hand to hand, sims will be allowed, but when they are zombies they must be deactivated.  There will be a set arena at wich you must evade the zombies, you can use a shield.

Once you are bitten both zombie will roll out of combat and then hunt for more brains, the last person to remain human will win a grand prize, if once the go ahead is given to kill the alpha zombie wich will be me, I am killed, the killer receives a bonus prize along with a grandprize, but you cannot kill the alpha zombie once the go ahead is given.  Disguises are not allowed for this event because they can cover the virus.  After the event we will meet up with the syntaxians at TBA location for the halloween party wich more prizes, raremasks, info, items, and special magical things happen.

No need to apply for entry, just show up, there will be me and a few lords of war members that come in as zombies and attack the humans.  You can run behind stuff, just, no hyperspeed, only speed enhancing clothing can be used.  If there are any questions please feel free to ask, more updates will come along as they need to.

Dear Rarebit, and respectivly other mxo members,

 I know alot of you 'die hards' probably don't agree with this, but as a hardcore Matrix fan, but lazy mmo player, I think this is actually a very progressive move for this 'dead' mmo.  I'll be honest, for some reason I cant just up and leave this game, I have a friend that purposly got himself banned so he couldn't come back to the game, however, everytime I play it, I get bored from long grinds, missions and what not, the headgear grind is one of the most rediculous things I've ever had to do in this game.  I feel younger players and some of those not really popular with the bigger more powerful factions, or LET/LESIG kind of get left out of the loop, especially the lowbies that choose to remain factionless and just want to have fun and see where the story line goes, but with the way things have been for the past couple of years, and as rarebit stated, has been extremly difficult, and in a situation like mine, where I have to deploy due to the call of duty for months, I really really get out of the story, and its very hard to catch up on without researching...and is just more time than I want to take. 

 The timer adjustment on the archive items is definately a plus, I love that, the main thing that pissed me off about the warsword and ninja headband was that it was so short and took so long to reactivate, became kind of a demotivation factor, so I love that thats being changed.  Also, I dislike standard crits, its just reading with running around, that kind of stuff pisses me off and makes my ADD kick in, so by making it similar to the arcs and what not adds a litte more motivation into it, and can also help keep people in the loop a little better.  And great about the well in advanced announcement and bringing back org wide suprise items, I love my glimmer of the source, merovingians boon, zion requsition hardware, stuff like that is just fun to have, I dont know if it still does anything effective, but I still use it! 

 Dont listen to the negative nancies rarebit, just take what is keeping this game down now, and lets try to make it feel how it was back in the good ol' days.  I'd say you're right in this being a step in the right direction.
