I know its a day late but its never not a bad think to celebrate!

I am requesting help from any helpful operative to improve my signature picture. Here are my sources below:

Hello Operatives,

    There has been a interruption with our daily routines Operatives, it appears our System Mainframe has been attacked in multiple areas by an unknown source. We do not know what or who the terrorist is, but as any program or human always leaves a trace of evidence. I have sent CSI operatives out to pick up anything of interest, you will need to go to them and retrieve and clues they may have discovered in the areas of the attacks. I will be giving the directions to the two of them. I cannot say their names here for security purposes.
    Once you have gotten the clues from the operatives, you will be required to bring it to me, so i can process and and transmit it to Agent Gray. Agent Gray will then contact the Architect to fix it from the source. The evidence might be helpful on how to stop the terrorist or how to disable him. I have coder operatives working on a new firewall for the System Mainframe, to help stop any attacks on it. After Agent Gray has contacted the Architect, he will then transmit the evidence to him and the Architect will examine it, if it prove useful we will use the useful data and use to try to stop the terrorist. But if it proves not to be useful it will be immediatley deleted and we will have to try a different approach.
    The first successful Operative to give me the evidence will get an award of 10 Million Info, and for those who attend the event will get 500,000 Information as a thank you. We wish the best of luck operatives on this mission. It is a great honor to be working with other Operatives, it almost make me feel like.... human.

I am Zion Commander Alexendaria. Meet me at Mara NW, your goal in this mission is to retrieve a corrupt program, the programs name is "Detro" he has valuable information we Zionites need. Briefing:

There has been a illegal violation within the systems mainframe. They have shutdown the mainframe and we are unable to continue with our daily operations until fixed. All operatives must attend. It is a vital objective please complete it. The battle is the mystery you must attend to find out.

(1) To fix the vista and some xp problems read below:

(1a) Minimize (UAC) Interruptions:

This technique doesn't disable the UAC option but reduces annoyance please read ahead and follow the step given.

1. Create a standard user account, with all default settings and required software installed.
2. From the Administrator account you need to open the Local Security Policy editor. Do this by typing secpol.msc in the Start search box and hit enter.
3. Click Security Options in the Local Policies section and then scroll down the list on the right to User Account: Behavior Of The Elevation Prompt For Standard Users.
4. By default, the setting is Prompt For Credentials. Double-Click the setting and select Automatically Deny Elevation Requests from the drop-down menu, then click OK and close the Security Policy editor.

Then you should be done.

(1b) Fix Compatibility With Vista:

1. Goto My Computer
2. Goto C:/ Or whatever drive letter you are using.
3. Goto Program Files
4. Goto "Matrix Online" folder
5. Ok once there Right Click "matrix.exe" and select properties.
a. On the tab called "Compatibility" set it to be compatible with Windows XP.
6. Ok once there Right Click "launcher.exe" and select properties.
a. On the tab called "Compatibility" set it to be compatible with Windows XP.

Then the compatibility problems should be fixed .

(1c) To help stop the harassment on using or opening programs on Vista read ahead:

( If you already have (UAC) disabled don't do this procedure )

1. Click the Start orb in the lower left corner.
2. Then on the right side of the window that popped up click "Control Panel"
3. Then look for the button called "User Accounts" and click it.
4. Then on the bottom there should be a link called "Turn User Account Control on or off."
5. Then there will be a check box with "User Account Control (UAC) to help your computer.", go ahead and uncheck it you don't really need it and it sometimes interferes with multiple programs.

(4) How to Unblock/Getting MxO to work:

(4c) Further below i am making a small tutorial for people using the firewall called "Kaspersky" to help from MxO being blocked or slowed down:

1. Click Start and then click All Programs.
2. Then hold your mouse over "Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0" folder and then move it over to "Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0" with the K in the left of it.
3. Then a window should pop-up, now in the Protection tab click the "Firewall" link.
4. Once there click the Configure button.
5. Now under Filteration System click "Settings".
6. Once there this little list is the list of allowed programs.

7. Now click "Add" and then browse.
a. Then look for the "launcher.exe" file and click it.
b. Then a rules for "launcher.exe will pop-up click add on the right side of the window.
c. For the Rule Name don't worry about and the properties don't worry about and additional don't worry about.
d. The "Rules Description" is something you will change but for now just click ok.
e. You will see now you have a new rule, now click "Add" once more and forget everything but the "Rules Description", but this time where it says "TCP" click it and then it should turn into "UDP" and then click ok. Now you have those two rules.

8. Now click "Add" and then browse.
a. Then look for the "matrix.exe" file and click it.
b. Then a rules for "matrix.exe will pop-up click add on the right side of the window.
c. For the Rule Name don't worry about and the properties don't worry about and additional don't worry about.
d. The "Rules Description" is something you will change but for now just click ok.
e. You will see now you have a new rule, now click "Add" once more and forget everything but the "Rules Description", but this time where it says "TCP" click it and then it should turn into "UDP" and then click ok. Now you have those two rules.

(4d) How to unblock MxO on Norton Internet Security:

1. Double-click the Norton Internet Security icon.
2. Double-click Personal Firewall.
3. On the Programs tab, select the matrix program that to unblock it in the Manual Program Control window.
4. Click Remove.
5. Click OK to any warning messages.
6. If there are other components of the program that appear in the list, remove them as well.
7. Click OK.
8. Close Norton Internet Security.

Routers:

Well router are the gateways from your computer to the internet. Also since there is so many routers it is hard to give a tutorial on this but what you need to do with a router is find a place where you can set ports and open these ports that SOE needs opened:

Explanations for some errors/bugs that MxO has been having:

The reason why some people are getting the character already in use problem is a bug that SOE is currently trying to fix it isn't anything vital it will soon go away so don't panic like you account has been stolen (Like i did) and just stay calm and it will go away eventually.

Vista Texture/Shadow Bugs:

(* Currently the Vista SP1 hasn't really fixed anything as far as i know. *)

Performance: Usually caused by DX10 but isn't really a bug, it's just that DX10 requires alot more juice.
Dotted Texture: Currently No Fix
Incorrect Face Shading: Currently No Fix
Launcher Typing Bugs: Currently No Fix
Inventory Icons Invisible: Not really a fix, but some trench coats cause them to disappear, just try to remove those clothes and try it.

ATI 2600 XT HD AGP Indoor Bugs:

BTW notice for some of those ATI users, i am currently using a ATI 2600 XT AGP from www.visiontek.com and it has major incompatibility with MxO, but only indoors. For the example of whats is happening i made a topic over it here: http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/..._id=36300021005 (In the MxO options menu in-game there is a option called Load Sector LOD's when i unchecked it, it seemed to work fine. The driver version used on this was 8.453 Visiontek and the new 8.3n Visiontek driver doesn't fix the problem.) (Update: Ok i've been playing MxO the checkerboards are still there but the fix behind this fixes the annoying indoor lagginess.)

Borat: Redemption

Once upon a time in 6/6/6 A.B. a guy named Borat was a very shy fellow. He didn’t know much but to but to call he sister a number one prostitute. So Borat was minding his own business walking down Merry Lane St. and suddenly out of nowhere a pack of wolves jump out from behind a bush, Borat quickly went into a fighting stance but then Dora the Explorer came to save the day! Dora said with her mighty voice, “¡Estoy de aquí salvarle Borat!”, then suddenly with no warning the wolves bite Dora’s arm and legs straight off and sliced her throat so she couldn’t talk or move again, (Narrator’s Message: Irony; Don’t Read This) then she crawled her way back up and starting running into the jungle where she belongs and as she was swinging on the vine she yelled as Tarzan would in a crazy weird way.

So now that she was out of the way, the wolves starting growling and they started going towards Borat once again and Borat starts getting scared so he ran for his life and tripped on a little pebble and then started running again! Soon as he was running he saw a open house door that he thought someone has left open, so he ran as fast as he could and he was at the door almost to safety! SLAM! He went face first right into a transparent glass window. Cleaned almost perfectly with the great product called, Windex. Finally Borat got his butt up and opened the glass door and ran through the peoples house and he found the front door and he tried to open the door but it was locked from the inside there was no way for him to get outside of the house, he was destined to die!

But then Borat heard some of the wolves yelping and squealing in unusual frequencies so Borat went to go check and see what was happening and Borat saw someone. He said, “It’s a plane, it’s a bird! No it’s Boots!!!!” As Borat jumped with glee in the air, that he was saved, Boots killed all of the wolves and saved the day! Then for some weird reason, I don’t know why but Boots started singing about how wolves are good for the environment and that they are a endangered species. Boots sings, “¡Hola, soy Botas y yo hablo español! Pero cuando estos animales pobres se mueren es un sitio horrible depresión poco apetitosa poco apetitosa. da de da de da ...... ......” But then Borat got tired of him and………………

picked him up and threw him across the street into the garbage trucks disposal. But now poor old Borat was bored and didn’t know what to do anymore.

But for some reason Borat felt like going the sea and to see someone. Who is really spongy live in the deep sea? SpongeBob Square Pants! So he goes down to say hi to his best friend SpongeBob, but very unusually a pack of fish wolves swim out from behind a kelp bush! Then SpongeBob gets pretty much mauled by the wolves and Patrick tried to come help him out and then they both die and then the wolves just fall over and go to sleep, then one burps out SpongeBob’s spine.

Then Borat makes a new friend a spider called, Charlotte the Spider, he just met her when she came to bite him on the neck to make a hole for her to lay 1000 eggs inside of the hole. But she decided to ask him how he was doing before she killed him. But then they started to talk a little bit more and Charlotte decided not to kill him, because she thought it would be very rude to do such a thing. So they were friends forever!

Then the devil comes up and says, “Come with me Borat!” but for some reason charlotte just had to say hi to the lovely guest. Then the devil says, “Ew, a bug.” Then he smashes poor charlotte. Then Borat sobbed and sobbed. But then Jesus came to bring Borat to heaven to learn the ways of Heaven combat to kill the devil for what he has done to Charlotte. Jesus brought Borat to God and God said, “Borat, I am your father”, then Borat was like “OMGosh, you serious?” God says, “Yes, I married your mom 5000 years ago and now she finally calls me and told me to meet my son so here I am meeting my long lost son.” Borat Says, “WoW!, Very Nice!” Then Borat went ahead and started his training to take down the Devil for killing Charlotte, Borats best friend.

So Borat was finally done and he was ready to fight the Devil himself so Jesus and Borat went down to earth, Jesus as his escort, to fight the Devil. Now the Devil appeared and said, “Why are we here all I asked was for you to come with me.” But nobody said a thing. Then Borat slapped the Devil in the face and the Devil fainted and poofed back into the…. Where ever he lives.

Everything seems ok to me though i am not a professional, but i would consider check with your ISP and see if there is something wrong with your internet connection because sometimes, like what happens to me (But i use a router) is the internet sometimes never connects for a certain period of time. But if you aren't sure its your internet then after it says you have times out try to goto your browser and see if you connect to any website.

Also withing you MxO directory this will be a file(s) called ClientErrors_0 and as many as the errors you get the higher the number gets.

But if you find those in you directory after the time outs please post it. It might help. But remember i am not a professional. SMILEY

Rubberbanding Lagg:

If you aren't familiar with the term, "rubber banding" is when your avatar is moving along in one direction and suddenly "snaps back" to a previous location. While you'll still encounter some rubber banding issues that are legitimate bugs or due to lag, in one case: it's a feature.

When you're heading into a region that's overcrowded or that the server is restarting, you'll rubber band back out of that zone. This will prevent you from entering a dead zone that will cause you to disconnect.

So, if moving in one direction continues to result in this effect, try going in a different direction.

We're working on other ways to help you avoid region-server based disconnects and will let you know when they're implemented.

Slow Patching or Problems with Patching:

     In the vast majority of cases, this is due to a connection issue that is preventing the server from sending you the information you need to complete the patching process. The first thing to try is to make sure that you are not running any programs on the taskbar. If the problem persists, you should try running under a clean boot as this will prevent any hidden programs from loading:

To disable background programs:

1.Select the START button.
2.Select RUN.
3.Type in "msconfig" (without the quotes)
4.Press OK
5.Select the STARTUP tab.
6.In the list, uncheck all boxes EXCEPT for SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY. If you use Windows XP, please note that SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY will not be listed - just disable all.
7.Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer and try to patch again.

Keep in mind we do not support routers/firewalls/proxies/NATs etc. You will need to consult the included technical manual that came with your hardware/software or contact the manufacterer of the device or software.

Client Launcher: Patch Server down?

Wow you know what man i had this same problem and guess what i fixed it, first to understand the things i need to use to understand is and remember answer Yes or no!:

1. Goto you internet explorer and goto Tools or File and if there is a checkmark next to Work Offline click it and turn it off. Now answer the question. Yes or no!

Did it work?

If it didn't please continue to number 2.

2. Ok go back to the internet explorer and tell me does it load pages, any page?

If no than please continue.

3. Make sure you firewall isn't blocking Internet Explorer, is it?

If no then continue.

4. Also your firewall might be blocking launcher.exe from connecting to the internet or the patch site, goto your settings and check and for more firewall and ports help goto another topic i made: http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...mp;#36300413704

6. If five didn't work all i did was reformat my computer and reinstalled the client and it worked, but you probably shouldn't if you don't want to.

Ok this cool technical guy from soe gave me one day to try my account because i havent played it forever and guess what i cant freaking patch ERROR MESSAGE:

18 Feb 21:57:15.177 [P 928/T 1892]: [MINOR] An error has occurred while connecting to the patch download server.

URL open failed. Patch servers down or internet connection problem.
