As of yesterday (Monday the 5th), every time I try to hit DN1 when using Safari, the browser goes into an immediate permanent "beach ball spin" (Mac term) state, and I have to force-quit. If there are any other Safari users out there, is anyone else having this problem?

Old servers, old faces, old combat moves...
We have a current screenshot thread; this one is for the oldies.
These are what I came across on a quick browse. (I don't post pvp screenshots typically, but there are a few in here that are ancient.) So without further delay, here comes a 12 minute load time:

...the Wachowskis, Joel Silver to re-team with Keanu to make Plastic Man:
An interesting (but possibly false, as any of this could be) tidbit from that piece is:
"Apparently this is the start of a new love period between Reeves and the Wachowskis, as Silver said that the brothers want to work with him on all their future projects."

Since getting my most recent MacBook Pro a month or so ago, I've noticed certain audio bits in-game are distorted on this new machine. Most noticeably, jumping/hyperjumping sounds choppy, the audio of cars driving by is extremely distorted, and the running fx sounds metallic. The audio-geared portions of this is probably only the most pertinent, but here's my DxDiag:

Not much there, but the interview starts off with some mxo Q/A:
Daniel Robert Epstein: What are you up to today?
Paul Chadwick: It’s been an interesting day. We were without power, we have power right now of course, but it was off for a while. So I’ve been mainly coping with that today.
DRE: What have you been working on this week?
Paul: The Matrix Online most of the week. I’ve got to get the storyboards done for some cinematics.
DRE: I read that you were doing stuff with The Matrix Online.
Paul: Yeah, it’s sort of a part-time job at this point.
DRE: Do you like keeping up with that world?
Paul: Yeah. Not that I can particularly well. It’s more like our own little world. They really thought The Matrix Online would be this huge hit like World of Warcraft. But it turned out to be a little niche game but the players who do stick around are very intense.
DRE: My brother plays World of Warcraft so I know a little bit about it. Is it the same sort of thing with these quests you can go on?
Paul: Yeah, these multi-players are very social. You meet up with your friends at a certain hour and you go on missions or do whatever.
DRE: Do you have a character that you take in there?
Paul: Oh yeah but I can’t reveal.
DRE: So you’re not supposed to reveal your guy or something like that?
DRE: Do you play or do you just do administrative type stuff with your character?

I'm not sure if anyone else is going (today is the last day) or already went, but I was in attendance there yesterday along with my girlfriend. It was the usual fair, and as with Batman Begins, there was a preview of some footage of the Dark Knight. That line began at 7am, apparently, and I didn't get there until 10. There's a recap of what was shown on AICN, however. In any event, some photos from the festivities: The view on going in: The DC display: Hellboy toy: Michael Madsen: Leatherface toy: Odd group #1: Odd group #2: Lou Ferrigno. I shook his hand and got his autograph...his giant freak muscle hand was twice as big as mine: Over-enthusiastic dude: My girlfriend and PaRappa the Rapper (and cameraman looking at their butts): About to lay the smack down on Apocalypse: Suicide Girl....... A Dark Knight-themed dollar bill I got as change at some point (...I better be able to use this):

Today I was running a typical assassination mission for Zion against
the Masked Men, when I noticed numerous out of place Merovingian NPC's
in the area (this was inside of an apartment). They were 34 levels
lower than me (I'm currently level 46) and non-attackable. In the
hallways were mostly Club Guards, but inside of one of the rooms was a
level 20 blood drinker along with 2 normal level 12 Merv soldiers (all also non-attackable). In
any event, the first phase of this mission was to "search the
computer". So, I killed off the Masked Men, but noticed a room I had no
need to go into, since I had already searched the computer. Now it gets
weirder...
I walk into the room, and there are 2 level 12 non-attackable Lupine
Scrappers pacing back and forth outside of a closed door (keeping guard
I suppose). I open the door and go inside, and who's in there? None
other than the Merovingian himself, in all his level 100,
non-attackable glory. Now, since I have maximum Zion faction standing,
and was in fact running a mission against the Masked Men (absolutely no
mention of Merovingian involvement), this was truly bizarre.
Why is the Merovingian dealing with the Masked Men? Why were there all
those low level, non-attackable Merv NPC's meandering around on a
Masked Men mission? Maybe it was just a super glitch...but **bleep**, it was
a nice break from the norm.
