I think the idea of just ending this game is an accepted idea opposed to trying to breath life back into the game because most of us don't believe it's even possible.

My Fallout 3 is 5.9 GB on my X360. >_>

#2. I like new content and new story.

It seems that, whether you notice it or not, a good amount of TT lowbies don't get the attention they need from faction mates. I have had many lower level Titans asking me for help when their faction mates have been online, and they have said they don't get a lot of help from the faction. Maybe that has changed, just stating a fact.

Grinding on this game sucks. I would unsub before I had to roll a 50 on another server.

Before A*, I knocked around the web for a while on various projects, including a web design startup run for a couple years with an old school chum, and various media review collections: a fan site for the video game "Outlaws," and little sites made for my own amusement covering things like movies, books, the script of the hilarious space shooter "Explosion Invincible Bangai-O" (set around the planet "Dan Star"), and video games in general. I worked in the video game industry for ten years, starting at Monolith Productions and ending up, under the handle "Rarebit," as the sole remaining designer on a story-driven massively multiplayer game called "The Matrix Online."
 
It was during my time on that project that I began making animated cinematics, the first two of which are still hosted here and here. These and A* are drawn in a curious process I came up with while in the Art & Design program at the University of Chicago, where I began--on an ancient computer known as an Amiga, in an equally ancient program known as ImageFX--drawing using the "lasso" tool as digital corollary to the spontaneity and freedom of painting in oils. In these decadent modern times where lasso tools are less fully featured, I draw A* on a PC in my favorite obsolete version of Photoshop, number 4, using a Wacom Intuos3 6x8 tablet.

I think the real question is why is the party on recursion? Graveyards don't make good party spots I seem to sporadically miss the ani events, but does this mean it's only on recursion( the event not the whole virus deal) or will all three servers still have a chance to fight the boss smith?

 

   It's this year's version of last year's dev party on Syntax.  It's on Recursion this year.

If "The Matrix" content were to be continued, my medium of choice would be gaming. Videogames are probably my biggest hobby because of the interactivity and control. One of the greatest parts of MxO was being a player in the universe, not just a spectator like every other medium. Even non-MMO games like Enter the Matrix and Path of Neo were very fun and I wouldn't mind something like those as well. I would also really like more comics and more animation short-films, but gaming would be my primary medium. I think the movies were amazing and they have served their purpose, but I don't think anymore good movies could be made on this franchise. I personally think that the MxO story should stay in MxO.

I agree with you that The Matrix Franchise will never "die", but I think it has come to its end in that no more story will be told, and you have pretty much everything now. I lot of people pick and choose on what they consider to be "cannon" Matrix story. I personally consider everything that's been released (The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, The Animatrix, Enter the Matrix, Path of Neo, The Matrix Online Chpt. 1-14, and all comics) to be cannon, but some people only consider the original film "The Matrix" to be the true story. Obviously, it's open for interpretation, whether intentionally or otherwise.
