Obviously not a phone booth but would be nice for people to be able to hardline into night clubs. The hardline could be just an office style phone sitting on a desk or an indoor style wall mounted payphone. Alot of real night clubs have those. People are going to hang out and socialize near hardlines and right now that is out on the street. That's hardly true to the movies. It would also be nice if the terminal for signal boosters were inside such night clubs. The designers busted their butts designing the best looking night clubs and they all are sitting vacant. This would change that. At most, we are only talking about one additional hardline in any one block in a district.

Perhaps just to make it something to make it achievement based, these hardlines would have to be hacked like access nodes and keys obtained by doing critical missions for contacts in those clubs. Call them VIP passes or something.

The lag in Philsen is so incredibly horrible that its impossible to move around in there. It even takes several minutes to use any of the options on a HL. The way its running tonight, you might as well mark it offline.

It's getting tiring setting all these auto ignores (crew, faction, mission, and etc. invites) every time I log in and since I cant set them until after I leave the loading area, I often get spammed with crew invites right as I materialize at the HL by people I don't know and have never even had a conversation. That's extremely annoying. These ignore settings need to persist across logins.

People shouldn't be able to learn schematics from decompiling crafted items. It devalues the effort made by the people who loot, decompile and learn the schematic, then sell crafted items made from it if other people can just decompile what he/she crafts to also learn the schematic.

I've tried stacking Hyper Block, Hyper Dodge, Hyper Sense, and Hyper Deflect. What's weird is if I execute them more than once, they each say I've refreshed an already running program. However, when I look at my buff icons, I only have icons for 2 of them. For example, Hyper Dodge and Hyper Deflect will both show up in the list but Hyper Dodge and Hyper Block won't. Which is accurate? Are all the buffs actually running the way the text says they are by reporting that an already running buff is being refreshed or are they overwriting each other the way the icon list shows? SMILEY

All the clubs look exactly the same. I don't see a difference after publish 37.

You know, about the only thing I really miss about Anarchy Online was
being able to equip and hold a can of beer in my hand. I could
even drink it when I got tired of it and go buy and equip a different
one. Had a /drink emote where you could look like you were taking
a sip but not actually consume and delete the item. The tropical
drinks with the umbrella toothpicks were fun too. I don't guess
there's much chance of getting any purely social equipment in
MxO? Yeah, I know alot of you anti-RP'ers will yell this is a
complete waste of time, but sometimes its nice to be able to just hang
out and have a little light fun with friends. At least its a
request without any game breaking balancing issues....

Okie, I'll say right up from that I'm not the leader/organizer
type. But I have been involved in an in-game nightclub staff
before in another game. So I thought I'd provide something of a
guide for running an in-game nightclub based upon my experiences from
my days at Rompa's in Anarchy Online. So here goes:

Rules (One's you don't break or bend):

1. No cybersex. Waitresses and dancers will get asked all
the time from customers, but like in the Capital One commericals, the
answers is always NO! Monitor your staff and eject anyone
breaking this rule.

2. Waitresses and dancers can NOT be cross-dressers. If
your male in real life, your waiter or dancer character must also be
male. Same goes for females. Customers get really ticked
off to find out that lady dancer or waitress they have been tipping is
really a guy. If your a guy and want to do this sort of thing,
don't be discouraged. There are lady customers who will tip the
guy waiters and hire them to dance. Not as common but it
happens. As for other combinations of customers and
waiters/dancers, we'll that's not my side of the street and I don't
want to go into that. Sorry. SMILEY

3. Don't assume control of a in-game nightclub without
negotiating with Sony's CSR's or equivalent representative. You
are modify what is essentially in-game content by taking over one of the existing in-game nightclubs and you will get problem
customers, hostile takeover attempts if your successful, unruly
players, and other problems. It's pretty much mandatory as your
nightclub is a potential hotspot of customer service issues. Have
a relationship and standing agreement with the CSR's before you start
can smooth this sort of thing out ahead of time.

Tips (Things to do to be successful):

1. Organize your faction along functional lines. You need 3
waitress/waiter/hostess crews, 3 dancer crews, other crews can pretty
much be one offs. Why 3? Because you need to at least try
and have a round the clock pressence at the nightclub. This means
one crew with mostly US players, one with mostly european players, and
one with mostly asia players. Actually pressence at the nightclub
by your staff is what gives the rest of the player population the
impression that your nightclub is alive and kicking.

2. By all means, have someone run a radio broadcast specific to
your nightclub. Get everyone inside the club to tune in.
Use the radio broadcast to get people out wandering around to come on
in. And get some runners out going around to various
districts/neighborhoods to get the word out about your
broadcast/nightclub. Only about 20% of the players come here and
read the forums. In-game advertising is the only way to reach
100% of the players. Just don't over do it in any one area cause
people hate spam. The fact that you have in-game support for
radio broadcast is a HUGH advantage over other games. Make the
most of it!

3. Encourage your dancers to work on dance routine macros.
Get them to share the good ones with their fellow staff. The more
imaginative they can be with it, the more the customers will be
entertained. Wardrobe is important too. Try and come up
with uniforms for the waiters/waitresses. For dancers, well I'm
sure you can use your imagination on what their wardrobe should be
like. SMILEY

3. Host regular and impromtu events at the nightclub. These
can be anything from contest to having the entire on duty dance crew do
a dance routine in sync.

Problems:

1. In Anarchy Online, the DEV's actually implemented
beverages. Your character could buy, equipment, and consume a can
of beer or a tropical drink. While equipped, other players could
see the drink in your hand. This is not possible in Matrix
Online. So I'm not really sure what waiters and waitresses will
have to do in this game. Perhaps have coder abilities loaded and
do consumable pills and etc. instead.

Any factions/crews staffing any of the nightclubs on a regular
basis? Got a radio broadcast specific to the nightclub?
Hosting any events? Got an waitresses serving drinks? Any
table dancers? Are they blond with red dresses? SMILEY

Can we get some signal boosters put inside some of the
nightclubs? Coding, Compiling, and De-compiling on the side walks
and roofs just isn't that appealing. SMILEY

Cooked and restocked them this morning. Just drop by
your nearest hardline and pull up The Marketplace to check them

Just open up The Marketplace at any hardline. They are posted there at
the default prices. I got work, family, and limited playtime so
I'm not available to sell direct. Pricing is whatever the system
defaults items to cause repeated request here for pricing guidelines
has been ignored. Forum and Google searches turn up nothing in
the way of pricing guidelines for anything in Matrix Online.
Items are solid green stability dot with no smaller repair dots just
like all programmer crafted items.

Looted several corrupted code fragments from the corrupts that spawned

I recently filled out my programmer tree all the way and including
ability, weapon, tool, apparel, consumable makers. Obviously the
default pricing the system tags everything with isn't the going rates
for things cause nothing sells at those prices. Does anyone have
any good pricing guides?

I'm relatively new at MxO. Currently level 16 and have been
decompiling everything I've gotten my hands on. So I have alot of
the lower level schematics but apparently its all crap that nobody
really wants.

right now and can't verify it but plan to try it this evening.

Maybe its just me but I'd like to see the MxO world be a little more
interactive. Actually be able to talk to bluepills, buy food at
their shops, rent an in-matrix apartment or store with an in-matrix
mailbox or phone/answering machine, write code for furniture, flag down and ride a taxi or bus, and
etc.

Right now, the in-game world doesn't quite feel alive like it should.

Well, maybe I'm a bit off the beaten track, but I'm having fun playing
a proxy programmer even tho I'm only level 10 right now. It's a
real tight squeeze being able to keep proxy 3.0 loaded so I can pull a
strong enough pet. Was using some hacker nukes but had to go pure
programmer to get enough memory back to have hyper jump loaded.
Anyone have some good tips/strageties on playing this type of
character? Right now, I'm breaking interlock everytime I get
pulled into it and standing back using a gun free form while the pet
tanks. Gonna be a challenge now that I don't have any nukes or
self heal programs anymore.

Noticed that some clothing with the exact same name sometimes has buffs
and sometimes doesn't. Is there something that coders do to
create an item with buffs on them?

Right now, I'm stuck with some cargo pants that make me look like
Little Lord Fontlaroy but need the 2% melee and ranged defense buffs on
them. Same problem with my shoes. Great buffs on them but
they look horrible.

I'm having trouble locating Static Blast 1.0 in the Proxy Programmer
tree. At level 9, I'm barely squeezing into this tree by
unloading just about everything else. But still seems that I
can't find this one ability for sale on the vendors and I don't get it
in my list of abilities I can compile. I'd rather code it myself
using fragments I've decompiled from items because that's alot
cheaper. Anyone able to point me in the right direction on this?

The crash report/submit is coming up every time I log on and off, even when I didn't crash. Is there a way to turn it off?

I'm level 6 now and my pet is still level 4. How and when does it
upgrade? I've yet to figure out how to buy/train more abilities
than what I got in my initial trees. No clue how the progression
on that works.
