Vector - Hostile World Discussion - Vector Time for this Fuse to burn out Time for this Fuse to burn out Fuse 0 03/13/2006 15:55
  Good evening...
I am indeed making my last jackout on March 27th. RP-wise, I'm hanging up my wings and becoming just a civilian of Zion.
RL-wise, I recently got a new job, new wife, and a new house.

Why am I leaving? Other than the last 3 things, the game is not appealing to me anymore. MxO started with a different route than any other MMO. It was not necessarily PvE driven, nor was it item driven. No one cared about clothing to the extent other games do. MxO was about continuing on the story that the W brothers put into play. Monolith did that for a time. The LET did an amazing job keeping me entertained. The missions kept me wanting more. It was worth my $15 a month. Since the LET was abandoned and the move to SOE, some things dealing with the game got shakky. The worst being inappropriate and unprofessional employee behaivior. Don't get me wrong, I love SOE and know they know their **bleep** when it comes to MMOs. They kept me around in EQ for almost 4 years. Perhaps they will turn this around, but they are trying to apply the same techniques to MxO as other MMOs, IMO.

I started playing this game In August of 2004. Over a year and a half later I'm done. Being one of the early members of RFZ and being in the Furious Angels since Jan 05, I would like to think I have had a part of the action and contributed to the MxO community in some fashion. It was certainly an opportunity I could not have had with WoW, DnD, or EQ; It is that interaction that I will miss the most.

Again, I'll be around until March 27th. Perhaps I'll see you at Midian East, which is STILL my favorite HL. =)
