Just to foster some fun discussion among Matrix fans, I'm wondering...

What is your favorite cinematic and why?

Which cinematic has the Matrix feel and essence of the trilogy, or better yet, part 1?

I've been reading all the angry posts about HJB and veteran rewards. Rather than another complaint or flamewar, I have a mere suggestion for the developers that I really feel will solve most issues with these items being re-released to current players.

That suggestion is to simply make these items and abilities a little different. Instead of Hyper Jump Beta with a green effect upon landing, the NEW HJB has yellow code fx.

Now it is distinguishable who was here at what era in the game history.

A while ago Vesuveus suggested that Beta Gear be re-released to current players slightly different that the original set of clothes: Unofficial Beta gear. Inverted colors or something to that effect.

Verdigra shirts with the same texture except yellow or orange. Or a different title: Verdigras Shirt II. The halloween items have a Roman Numeral on them for Neo's sake!! Same function, just a little different. Everyone is fullfilled and no one is cheated.

Thoughts?

For almost a week I have been crashing a heck of a lot. ERRORS: Login Rejected: Shutting Down. / Margin Server (something): Login Rejected. What is going on? I've never had these problems! Argh! I can't stay in for long periods anymore and it's making Meretrix unhappy. SMILEY

I'm having a problem locating recent screenshots. I've taken numerous screenshots over the past couple of months or so only to find that they are no where to be found. I still have all of my old ones though. SMILEY

I've checked through my useropts file and there is nothing about screenshots, or location... and I haven't edited anything, so I'm not sure what's going on. I have searched on here a few times, however, I haven't found what I'm looking for (specifically screenshot location).

Anyone have any ideas?- How do you change (or make) the location of your screenshots? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

*Edit* I appreciate any help... I will mention that The first thing I did was search for all screenshots (kept note of new numbered ones in game as well) and images... and went just as far as the search here could take me regarding this issue. Thus far, I have gotten no where. That is why I made this thread.

Is anyone else missing the "Views" counter? I only see Answers, Author, and Last Message. I rather enjoyed seeing that little feature... and... I'm still running into the problems with the forums loading...although not as often. Haven't we had 7 months or so, to work out the kinks here?

Apparently, fighter pilots have to be able to do this for 2 minutes! I've just come accross this a little while ago, and so far I've only been able to do this for 43.96 seconds!... I'll try again after a ginormous cup of coffee.

It is 745am, I was jacked in a few hours ago (everything ran smoothly, patches are up to date, I've not had a problem ever jacking in, I DO have internet connection)...

Now when I open MXO, a window pops up and says: Patch System Error (Result Code -15). The MXO box then says: Received unexpected result code from pather (0).

My account ran out October 11, and I submitted my credit card information a little while ago. It took the new information (it replaced the old billing info) and it did say that the charge was confirmed. However, the billing date still reads "Account open until Oct 11, and Next billing date Oct 11".

Anyone know what's going on? Please help me figure out what to do. Thank you.

Is anyone else having problems viewing replies to threads? It says that so and so posted last... but when I open the thread, I don't see their reply. I have to write a reply myself, in order to view theirs. It's much like when the "new" forums were inroduced more than a month ago.

At 2 am this morning I had an avatar. Now, only certain people have avatars. I don't even have an option in my profile for an avatar at all, it just... disappeared...

Um, there are so many things wrong with the search function alone... it's... sad.

When I click on someones name... it will say (for example) 76 TOPICS posted by this user. However when you click the link to show the topics, it only shows 15. No next button or anything, just 15. I can't even find the topic using the search feature because...well... it stinks.

Why am I still getting these emails?

theconstant: Been said time and time again, but it has to be this community....That and the live events I've participated in and faction interactions I've had.

M: How long have you been playing The Matrix Online?
TC: November '04 I thinks it was =) Been a Rakshas since 2 weeks into the game.

M: What is your favorite move/ability/tree?
TC: *resists saying punt....resist it!!!!*..................BAH! It's Punt all the way. How can you not love it? I like learning good spy routines, as well =)

M: Tell us what your name means. Why did you choose this name?
TC: Guess my name is pretty self explanatory, it means what it needs to to different people. Whatever type of constant I am to you, glad I could be there *cheesywink*

M: Tell us about The Rakshas. What makes this faction different from the rest?
TC: Faction chat alone makes this faction different, I've heard that straight from alts from other factions who come over just to have a good time. And that's what it's always been about with the Raks, and it's the reason honestly I still get the urge to log on these days.......Oh and we also really kick some arse at events =D. That and being greeted with 'Hey fata$$'(or some variation) every time I log in make me proud to be a Rak.

M: And, what is your role in your faction?
TC: Power leveler, smack talker, RP'r (watch for /mood regal). We've never claimed a 'leader' style in the Rakshas.

M: As far as the combat system, tell us how you feel about CR 2.0.
TC: I really do like how you can tell who knows what they are doing, more in this system than the last. We all see there are still some balances that need working on. I'm happy you can't just switch clothes now to defend against a certain type of player, so I guess you could say I like it =P

M: Who is your favorite LESIG character and why?
TC: Ah man...Merrit, it's gotta be....Sorry TIMCAMM, but you know what I'm sayin ;o)

M: Got any predictions for where the story is going?
TC: I'm machine, the story better stay nice and trucey or it's go time.

M: What, if anything, would you like to see added to this game?

M: As far as the films, what is your favorite scene from the Trilogy and/or Animatrix?
TC: I like the scene in the Animatrix in the short called 'Matriculated' where they turn the machine they caught eyes green.

TC: Hmmmmm, I run missions /pvp flagged on recursion...so watch out for that!

M: Got any tips for better game play?
TC: Be patient, and it's always good to duel people who you see really beat someone else up good =P You can learn a lot in this combat system by dueling people, or watching strategies.

M: Tell us about when you were awarded the mask?
TC: I should of been at work is what I'm tellin ya....but you think I could leave the day I knew the whole server was going to kill him, and of course my faction was making great excuses for me to tell my boss =)...I had gotten the last shot on the first assassin in Sobra shores, and heard that there was still some left, and on my way to the last one I was getting /tells from people who seemed to know there was a reward (I didn't yet) asking 'what are the buffs?'. I was telling them 'I'm still trying to kill another one!!!' Which luckily enough I did. Seraph teleported the ones who made the final blows somewhere and congratulated us....also told us to 'beware of the pains of the mask' or something like that =D

M: What do you like best about the mask?
TC: I like the storyline significance of it, the buffs would be nice for any player but I like having that piece of the storyline, and being able to tell people who ask what I think is a good story =)

M: Some people think that everyone who participated in the event should get a buffed item. Some people say it should be across the board, even if is a non buffed item. What's your view on the issue of awarding special items like the mask?
TC: This has been debated a lot eh...I know if everyone was running around wearing one of these it would be.....well, you wouldn't want to feel like your playing a hockey game with only Goalies or some sort of 'Jason's revenge and reconstruct online' game all the time now would you? The buffs are the thing in question and honestly yes in the previous combat system it was far overpowered...but I think they have toned that down now.
I wonder if SOE will risk doing something like this again, it does make many maaaany players upset/jealous (trust me I get flack just for wearing it), but it adds something to the game, and if done in the right times in the story...I think that it would be pretty cool to see more special items. Who wouldn't want Cryptos' necklace after driving him from the matrix which grants the ability to send someone to the loading area with say a 30min reuse timer =P

M: Is there anything else you would like to share with the community?
TC: I can't say it any better....Stay Classy Recursion!

Has anyone seen this? Sophia Stewart says she is the real writer of the Matrix.

I thought this woman was crazy. This is pretty interesting though.

Sofia Stewart says that the Wachoski brothers stole her work. Her website also states that The Terminator and The Matrix were based upon her personal work, The Third Eye? (There is mention about the FBI investigations). Stewart says that direct quotes and major ideas were taken from her and she was never given credit for any of it, or a dime. Apparently, she has been and is still suing.
