I'd actually have to agree with that whole list, and yes I've seen all the movies on there.  The one I agree most with would probably be Kingdom of Heaven, I don't think I've ever been more satisfied not finishing a movie since then...

Either way, though I'd be kinda butt-hurt, I have a feeling the up and coming GI Joe movie is going to make that list...

I have to say though I was eager to see how the "New Approach" worked, I'm over it already.  I find myself logging in for about ten minutes or so and thinking of fun stuff I can do.  I then realize it's a game and I shouldn't have to try so hard to find things to do to keep me entertained if it's a game worth playing. 

Don't get me wrong the new content was cool, for about the 3 days it took to get it.  However there is nothing left to draw me to the game anymore without live events.  shoot, there isn't even any good drama to follow anymore.  It could just be me growing out of video/PC games in general and/or quickly realizing that my real life is turning out to be more engaging than I gave it credit for, I just can't really do it anymore.

My sub runs out on the 11th of this month and I'll probably make a few more appearances for a month or two here and there, but I can safely say my MxO days are pretty much over...

How will those of us not on the top 100 list participate?

On a personal level this year sucked, a lot, but the last couple weeks have gotten quite a bit better and showed me that it can get even more so, hopefully the trend continues into the next year.  It's nice being young though, so hopefully 2009 doesn't come too fast

I don't see many ways in which this would be a problem to implement as it wouldn't require any new animations. The only roadblock I would foresee is checking org affiliation for Zero One so as to place you at the right entry point (wouldn't matter in Datamine or Sati's due to random entry points). Then again I don't know how that works so it could be an easy fix.

Maybe make it so all levels could jack straight into these constructs for fairness' sake. As for those that would argue it ruins the experience of going through the actual archivist you could change him to something like a hardline where you could right click him and all the archives whose respective books you have would come up as options to enter...

More like can't discuss because their control prohibits it. It was just parts when like the Morpheus Sim, EPN hovercrafts. All convienently lacked intel. It just seemed that you skipped over those side-stories. To me it felt like you skipped them because you didn't have any real answer.

Cinematics are the front-line? Lets see. In your cinematic we had Veil kill Shimada. One small segment in the story. Something that could have been written into a story (one easier to follow too). The content in game is where the front-line should be. Where we get to participate and interact. We don't want to be bystanders watching the story go by in cinematics. They should be there to support the story, not tell it.

Well, each state has a visual effect above the head corresponding to the tactic that caused it.  In other words, green for off-balance, red for staggered, blue for dazed...

As for the guns that cause downgrades you actually get a nice little icon of the gun right under your hotbar next to your title buff/hypers etc any time it affects you.

In any case. Its a learning experience and has turned out to be a huge headache. Next year if we decide to do it again. Then we will have the pasted years issues in mind. Again, I'm not trying to make a personal attack as I have never had a problem with anyone from Dark Evolution. I'm simply calling it how I see it because I know quite a few people have voiced opinions to me and kept it amongst themselves. If no one brings things like this to light then nothing will get resolved and you will have people that aren't having fun which is the ultimate goal in a computer game.

I apologize for using such harsh language in my first comment as it may have given the impression that I think your efforts have been for not when in fact I and a great many others do certainly apprecite the initiative put forth by yourself and your faction mates.

If you're going to take people's info to enter a tournament then run the tournament properly, last year's went fine as far as I experienced. This year however, every event I have observed has had problems with cheating, people not knowing the rules (they usually tend to be from a certain faction, wonder why) etc. Heck, in the gun tournament today someone from PdS was wearing a close front jacket (Elite Commando Jacket) that didn't get noticed for the longest time and it was pointed out by someone who wasn't even judging...

And do i really need to explain the comment to you? This thread has been full of complaints since the first event started...

I'm not going to try and validate the claims made by bayamos or anything as I don't personally know that information for myself and it is nice that Dark Evolution has taken the time to organize these events, but you guys have to pay more attention to this stuff and start treating everyone fairly. And don't come back at me with another "give me examples" post either, you know what's been happening, I observed it for myself and it was reported to the judges by other parties.

Then again, it is your tournament and as I said before, none of my info is on the line so I won't take it personally should things continue the way they have.
