Hey Guys. Need your help with a problem. Recently reinstalled windows and consequently MXO. I've found that gunshots, footsteps and door sound effects are usually bugged and when they bug up can cause lag.

I've updated to Direct X 9 and updated my sound driver. Here's my Dxdiag readout.

Eh...I logged on today to find that SOE stole my critical missions. I don't know about you, but I don't feel like doing hundreds of impossible quests to get any "collectibles" and I surely don't want "more challenging" missions.

Missions were hard enough before, but now they stole my crits. Anyone else unhappy about this? I surely am.

Again, I ask: Why change something that's worked for YEARS? SOE has officially taken away the point to doing missions now. No more crits, no more point in bothering with missions.

Looking for a Machine faction....or to start one. If anyone is interested in either one contact me here or ingame.

Hey guys. I've noticed in the past 2 years or so that SOE continues to kill off the movie characters. (And so did monolith). I was sorta outraged when I heard the Oracle is dead.

So, I'll ask the Devs directly. Why are you guys killing off the movie characters? Is it because you ran out of storyline for them? If so, why kill them? Why not leave them be and just let them vanish for a while.

Does anyone know what killed the Oracle? It's a shame...First Morpheus, then Commander Lock, now the Oracle? What next? The Architect?

Technically Morpheus was the doing of Monolith, and rumor has it that Lock is still alive. But that leaves the Oracle. Why kill that woman? Wasn't she "the mother of the Matrix"?

It had been five months. Still no sign of him. Still no trace of Agent White.

Rumors were abound. Some said he was dead, deleted. Others told me he was reassigned. Other theories included a theory about how Agent White could’ve been turned into another program. Recycled. I knew there was no proof for the rumors, but I had hope that he was still alive and well. Then, finally, a lead. I contacted Sieges for any clue on Agent White’s whereabouts. She showed me a video that showed Agent White. He was still an Agent, the lead Agent in charge of the investigation of Algorithm Black. But he was different. He had no emotions, and apparently, no memory of me. After viewing the video, I bowed my head in sadness.

“They took away his emotions.” Sieges told me. “Those idiots!” I replied. I still had my digital bomb, the one I had used earlier to threaten the OWB into submission regarding Agent White. “The OWB is going to pay for this!” I exclaimed, remembering my bomb. “Don’t do anything drastic. It’s not worth destroying the System over this. Can’t you find another Agent you could reprogram?” She asked. I nodded. “I have the perfect candidate.” “Who?” “Agent Brown.”

Meanwhile, downtown…

Agent Brown stood in the living room of an apartment, with Agent Pace, whom he was now assigned to work with on a sporadic basis. He was peering out the window, looking for any suspicious activity. Nothing yet. And they were both forced to sit here and do nothing, while waiting for their next orders. Agent Pace touched her earpiece and vanished, enroute to another location to meet with some operatives. He sighed and sat down on the couch.

I approached the building disguised, so no one could recognize me. I had detected Agent Brown on my code scanner. I went up to his floor and stopped right outside the room he was in. I used my little laptop and hacked the local code, accessing Agent Brown himself. I loaded the old program that I had used on Agent White and loaded it into Brown’s program…and waited…

Agent Brown squinted behind his sunglasses at the front door. There was something stealthed over there, as there had been a rift in the Matrix code…and a change in his own program. He suddenly had all these strange and alien memories come flooding to his mind…he remembered an operative named Jane Anderson, otherwise known as Wire. The memories were very fragmented as he remembered a small animal called Piglet, and an apartment building in Sai Kung. He stood up from the couch and approached the door cautiously.

I was in a kneeling position just outside his front door in sneak, and invisible to humans and programs alike. My little computer beeped at me, the Agent was incoming. Slowly but surely. I shut down my hacking computer and backed away from the door.

Agent Brown opened the front door. The emotions he was feeling at that moment were overwhelming, and he stopped in mid-stride and observed these strange new emotions. Emotions were alien to him, as he has never felt them before. He felt curiosity of who was hacking his program and the Matrix, and he felt an overwhelming love towards this operative named Wire. He continued walking, grabbing the doorknob and turning it, opening the door to the hallway. There was nothing visible…yet.

I was three feet away from him! It appeared he couldn’t see me…yet. I had to keep myself from giggling as I peered at him. Perfect black suit, black sunglasses, and dark brown hair. He was famously recognizable, as he was one of the Agents who used to work with Smith. I stood up very slowly as to not break my stealth. Then, surprising me, he spoke! “Human, identify yourself. I know you are present in this hallway but stealthed to avoid detection. I can detect a latent code stream from you.” My eyes went wide. He touched his earpiece suddenly. “I need an anti-stealth measure activated at my current location.” Suddenly, a flash of light and I was visible! I froze in place when I realized what was going on. Agent Brown cocked his head slightly, with a curious look on his face. “Agent Anderson. What is your reason for being at this location?” He asked. I had to improvise. “I came to…repair…your…backup hardline.” “Operative, there is no hardline at this location. You’re lying.” “I uhh…dammit…” My face burned a hot red. I was horrible at improvising random reasons. “Your anxiety levels are high. You cannot lie to me. I can read your vital signs. Why are you here?” “I was…uhh…” He looked down and saw my hacking laptop. “You! You were hacking the Matrix!” He exclaimed, but by the time he finished his sentence, I had grabbed my laptop and booked it for the door. He pursued. I had to find a place to hide and now!

Note to those who don't know: The term "OWB" is a profane term for the Architect. The "Old White B" You can figure out what the last word is. SMILEY

Ok, I was logged in, logged off normally. Tried to log back in, it'll let me put in my user/pass and click the server, but once I do it freezes completely and won't let me in.

I've tried logging in three times now and even rebooted my comp. No change.

I don't think the servers are down or it would've said something.

Anyone else have this happen?

Ok...here's my request. Can you turn the areas where zombies spawn into PVP pacification zones?

Why? Because there are certain people who flag up to try to ruin it for other people. Especially if we are using area viral to fight the zombies.

I'd just like to ask the Devs directly if there's any way they can change disabling Throw so it has a longer reuse timer.

Why? Because people are sploiting with it.

People who don't know how to fight will come in, hit ya with disabling throw, it lasts like 10 seconds, you can't fight all this time, then they throw it again and disable you again.

Either nerf Disabling throw, or do away with the whole Tree.

People who sploit ruin the whole idea of PVP. It's not even fun anymore.

I get sick and tired of people sploiting and getting away with it.

So I was summoned to a church. Heard a Toaster talk about not deleting some weird exile. Ok. Event Over, right? Wrong.

Later, I heard someone launched code bombs and mandatory PVP flagged everyone in the area. First time I've seen all 3 orgs red.

1. What happened to PVP RULES?
2. What's wrong with a non-PVP-mandatory Event?

Next time, I'm going to avoid these wacky events. I hate PVP mandatory Events.

If I said anything, here's my summary:

Event: Failed.
Future Events: Avoid at all costs. Exception: Zion-Only Events

So yeah, I showed up for an event, was deadly disappointed, and no one told me that it was continuing, so I left. And I'm glad I did, too...
I told everyone that the Devs would flag everyone. Looks like I was right again.

I'm going to create this thread because after 24 hours of watching people setting these stupid luggable boosters into populated areas, I've had enough.

Devs, what was the point of creating luggable boosters? I think they're stupid, really. there's no point except that it makes players extremely lazy. isn't that the reason we have boosters on roofs? So they don't bother everyone else while they're up there coding?

I propose we do away with these things. Because they're irritating and annoying. I just loathe them. All the other luggables are cool, and then these boosters come out that gives everyone nice glowing green rings and a sound effect that can drive you mad.

If not get rid of them, at least make them recycle-able so one can pick them up and destroy them.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

I had to ask if it's a sploit for players to jackout or die during the tutorial after creating a new character, and then entering the matrix as a level 1 "bluepill" which this "RP" has become extremely lame.

I personally think it IS a sploit and people doing it should be banned.

I wanted to know what the Devs think.

I don't play EQ2, never have played EQ2, but somehow the Station.com website is asking me for a CD-Key that I don't have because I've never bought the game? Wth is going on with SOE lately? Their site is bugged, and my account is crashed. The 4th day I can't play MXO...because they won't reset it.

Now I can't log into my station account either. How GREAT!

This is the second time this has happened. I jacked out with a character, decided I wanted to delete him, and did. But, it first crashed my client, then it said the "character deletion is in progress". Now my account is constantly in use because the server wouldn't jack out this character.

I submitted an email on the technical help website, but haven't gotten any replies. This happened about 3 months ago and my account was frozen until someone at SOE reset it.

I won't post account information here, but if you need it I can email it to you.

I just had to comment on the event at approximately 3pm (CST) at Camon Central with Rarebit pretending he was a zombie...

It was fun. For all of you who weren't there, I'll share this...what I wrote of what happened.

"On November 1, 2006 at approximately 3pm, a zombie showed up on Camon C. It was called Zombie Scourge
and it was capable of talking and emoting. I figured it was some player playing tricks, until I went to
check it out. He was level 70. Flagged for PVP. No organization to speak of. Had no name. Definitely a player. So I began to talk with him. The only thing he would say back tho was "Rrrr!". While I was talking "with" him and my friends, some zombies jumped me. I was playing Wire2. I fought the first zombie and it was taking a while. I had it about 3/4ths dead and suddenly some green lightening came outta nowhere and struck the zombie down! Green lightening is a Dev-Only ability and I knew at that moment that the dev had helped me out. I thanked him and approached him again, but players began appearing from the HL and attacking him. I told the Dev a few times that "I want to see Meatwad again!" and he struck down players with this ability. The fighting became chaotic and insane as I called all my ppl off my buddy list and everyone from Mara came down. We were in the middle of a fight when suddenly the whole world froze and we were all disconnected. We came back to find the Dev had escaped. We were disappointed that he chose to leave so early. The fun had only begun."

So, thanks Rarebit for some fun, we definitely appreciated it. I'd like to also personally thank you for helping me out when I was fighting a zombie. Help is always appreciated.

Like to warn you all, logged on today with my level 25, the buddy list was GONE, WIPED. I have no idea what happened, but I sent a bug report to SOE about this...

1. Is there a way to copy buddy lists from one char to another;
and;

2. Has anyone else had this problem??

Sup Devs! Just had to make comments about the reputation system. Now, I'm one to complain because I recently rejoined the Machines.

-127 to 47 in 11 days. Awesome speed. Congratz to myself.

Back to the problem. I hit 47 today, and I seemed to get only 2 phase missions that gave me no points, and it took me 3 missions to get one point. Getting reputation is already tough and doing 200+ missions to get to positive 50-60 is unreasonable.

What's wrong with 1 point every mission until 100? That way I could hit 100 and get my white hallway key.

Or at least every other mission from 50 - 100.

Hello. My name is Redkn1ght. I am a Machine operative and I live in the Matrix with my sister Greenkn1ght.

I am level 9 and she is 8. I have been looking for a decent faction for a long time. Though so far my search has proven...useless.

My sister tells me we should leave the organization and go Merovingian, but I tell her we must stick with our machine roots. That it is our destiny to serve the Machines, and that there is no denying that destiny.

((Red and Green are my characters on syntax. I'm looking for factions for both of them.))

Green and I have come to understand that the only reason the truce exists is because Zion could be destroyed if war broke out tomorrow. EPN and Zion threaten the continuation of the Matrix.

Ignorance is Bliss. I have always believed this. Leave sleeping people lie...

Hello, Machinists. I am Greenkn1ght. I have been on Syntax for a few months, but haven't played all that much, as I am usually on recursion.

Recently I have decided to play my guy on Syntax as my next primary character. However, due to the impossiblity of finding a faction, and assistance with missions and leveling, I am beginning to think that was a mistake.

I've thought about changing organizations. Going to the Merovingian. Going to the Merovingian and never looking back. After all, I see no more purpose for me to work as a representative of the Machines.

If the Machines recruit me into a decent faction, I will stay Machine, and hence save myself the work of a couple of weeks of changing my reputation.

If the Merovingian takes me in, then I am Merovingian. Whoever gets to my first wins. Kinda like a game.

Two things we definitely need in terms of clothing in this game. The Devs made male void glasses, I heard about them so decided to check it out. They're only male. I was disappointed that the women can't get new glasses too. :womanmad: Sooo...

Another thing I'd love is WHITE gloves. All the female gloves are BLACK and I love my white outfit, white gloves that match would RULE.

Another tip, devs, the BLACK Underarmour shirts are not black. They have been "bleached". :smileytongue:
