Just wanted to say thanks and Kudo's for adjusting the Interlock timers on the Code Nuke and Logic Bomb.  That split second makes all the difference.  Thanks to 9mm or rare or whomever made the adjustment....

I'm not exactly sure what is going on but something has definatley changed in game.  I've been fighting MKT's and Gunmen over the past week and have noticed that I can load them up with 6 dot's... Code Infection 4.0, code infection 3.0, Infect area 2.0, infect area 1.0, Plauge Zone 2.0, Plauge Zone 1.0, and get a Freeze System 3.0 hit on them after all that. All they have to do is pop a pill and it's like wham, they sweep everything almost instantly. They'll be down to less than half health and I'll be at full health still, they'll pull me into interlock and I'll kick on Upgrade attacks and Overclock and continue to win 60-70% of the interlock rolls putting the dot's back on them, and yet they don't loose health and continue to sweep everything... Hell most of the time they gain health. 

Now I know the new clothing is out and the new pants from the SleeperWalker boxes have an insane health regen buff on them, and I can see how that is having an effect with game balance, but that can be adjusted to, and does not explain these insane sweeps.  Either something has been changed in game or something else is going on.  

There is no way that they should be sweeping things so fast.  Literally they will sweep all of the dot's and continue to sweep them just as fast as I put them on.  Something serious has changed in game, because hackers are suppoused to be MKT's bane and that is far far far from the case now. Whatever has been done the balance is way off now.

The timers on these two abilities in interlock have always seemed a bit off to me.  You should be able to cycle back and forth between the two of them while fighing in Il, but more often than not what happens is you can get a code nuke off then a logic bomb then the timer for the code nuke hasn't come around yet so you end up missing out on a IL roll which usually give the advantage to the MA, MKT, or Gunmen your are in IL with.

If they were shortened by even less than half a second it would work out.

So I went to fo find a few luggables today...

 

 

So I was like whoa this must be some type of new exploit...  /ccr

I have attempted to find the luggables in International but have been unable to do so. I tried to traingulate their location by going to the following hardlines; Murasaki NW, Furihata S, Ikebukuro NE and the waypoints did not change from each location but stayed on one of two signal boosters. At Kowloon NE the waypoint changed to way off the normal map to an area not accessable by players. I am assuming the luggables are bugged or a player has them in the white room or something?

Yeah it appears that someone has found an exploit to place the luggables out or reach of other players. I found all the ones in Downtown in Chelsea at the bridge and I can target them but can not reach them. Keep getting "target is out of range"

Same thing for the luggables in Richland and Westview. They are all on the bridge in Manssen Park but are totally unaccessable....

Senior GM ##### here. We actually had a report of this in the past from another player and forwarded it our quality assurance and development teams to take a look at. The reason for this is that from a recent update, there as a bonus to the Tin Can collector hat called "Jump (20)" that would increase the height a normal (non-hyper jump) player's jump could achieve. Using this item would allow you to jump to an area that is otherwise inaccessible and drop a luggable. Our developers see no problem with this as it's all done within the game's mechanics. Thanks, though, for bringing this to our attention.

Seriously are you kidding me? Finally figured it out and if that isn't putting a player and or object in the game where they are not regulary allowed to be then I don't know what it is.

If the developers don't think that's an abuse of the game mechanics and system then quite frankly, they are full of *poop*.

Let me emphasize that last point for you FULL OF *poop*. 

Come on guys there is no way that's not using the game mechanics to place things where they were not generally allowed to be placed.  Fix it.  Oh and look at the luggables in Inernational.  Tell me that's not way way way outside the scope of a hyperjumpe or tin can hat jump.

This is a Zion Priority alert to all operatives within the simulation.  Repeat a Zion priority alert to all operatives within the simulation.  Zion command has deemed the following previously Top Secret intelligence be declassified and provided to all operatives within the simulation.  With the Intruder threatening Zion, Machine, and even Merovingian operatives this previously classified intelligence is being declassified for all operatives within the simulation.

It is possible that the Intruder himself may be from some as of yet unknown human colony involved in this early trade with the machine city.  Perhaps they were left alone by the machines and yet still survive, or somehow have managed to remain hidden from the machines all this time.  Speculation suggests that with the recent events involving Hypatia and Agent Gray that the Intruder is seeking out the information uncovered by Hypatia concerning the code structures.  Possibly even seeking the intelligence that she gathered concerning the Predecessor.  Without further intel all suppositions remain speculation only.

Since the servers all crashed last week I haven't been able to log into Broin, which was the character I was on when Vector crashed.  Message is "Character is already in use according tot he object server supervisor."  Anyone else having this problem.  I've been told it's server side and have to wait for a restart.  Hopefully that'll be sometime soon...

Alright you guessed it...

What's the deal with Viral Accuracy?  I've got *CENSORED* loads of MA's just bouncing my hacks off of them left and right while they casually stroll down the street.  Yeah that's right they just stand there look at me wave, and either walk (yeah walk) towards me or away from me.  While I continue to bounce 80%+ of my hacks off of them. 

Now with my upgrade attacks running and the right build I can get my Viral Accuracy to the 260 yellow max and above and still the hacks just bounce.  Now post all you want about how MA's are the hackers bane or whatever...  Personally I don't give a crap.  If I can kick my accuracy up that high and remmeber it's for a short amount of time, I should be hitting alot more than I am. 

... And yes it's not just MA's, I've been having fits with MKT's as well, which hackers shouldn't have that much problems with.  I'm just if a properly stated MKT can get his defense up enough to bounce my hacks like these MA's are but I can't in turn get enough accuracy for that short burst of time to counter it... Well let's just say

I've started re running my Pandora Boxes again the other day... Ran through PB1 last week and ran through PB2 this morning... However the PB2 is not spawning the NPC's when I activate it.   It shows the animation for the spawn and the sound but now spawn comes out on the first wave.  The second wave does spawn but the final wave never spawns.  I've run through it twice now with the same results...  Something up or am I just getting old and senile?

Anyone know the difference between these two things...?

I have old item boots that give IS cost modifiier bonus which I thought mean they would modify the cost of the IS use for a particular ability, but when I tested them out it didn't change a thing.  Now I have abilities that suppousedly are catagorized as IS cost reduction % which sounds about the same as the other... However it also didn't seem to modify or change the amount of IS that it took to cast an ability? 

In other words...

The Master Shadow ability needs a bit of tweeking.  This is the only ability in the game that allows you to negate putting yourself in a bad combat situation.  With this ability loaded you can attack with impunity and 9 times out of 10 if you don't like the way things are going you can activate it and be immune from any attacks. 

Not only that but with this ability if you are hit with any type of damage over time attack you can negate the damage by simply turning on Master Shadow and waiting until the DOT timer runs out.

Along with this ability, in the same tree's you have to go down, you also get several abilities that help you exit out of interlock.  This combined with the extreme short cast timer of Master Shadow (about 2 seconds) means that you can interlock someone, or disable their evade and do an attack, then if things are looking bad use one of your abilities to get out of IL and activiate Master Shadow and 9 times out of 10 you can do this before someone gets you powerlessness, stunned, etc.

I can understand the need for an ability like Master Shadow.  I've always seen it as an ability that would allow you to get into areas with some level of comfort that you know you won't be attacked.  It's more of an ability to use as a defense to get you in somewhere and keep you out of combat.  After all it is in the Spy-Infiltrator-Shadow-Master Shadow tree.  Just the names of those tree's should tell you what it's main use should be. 

Should there really be an ability in game where you can attack and immediatley (2 Second Cast Timer) keep yourself from being attacked?  An ability where you can enter into combat and be hit by another players DOT attacks and then just be able to turn that damage you are suffering off? 

An easy fix for the ability is to make it so that you can not activate it while in combat stance, increase the cast timer to about 4-6 seconds the same as many other abilities, and or put a reuse timer on it that is effective.

I've been looking at different builds weakness, strenghts, etc.  And I really think that Serene Calm is a bit overpowered.  Serene calm is in the Aikdo Master tree and for those who do not know gives the following buffs. Melee, Thrown, Viral, Ballistic Defense (37 pts) for all for 40 seconds.  IS Cost is 50 with a resuse timer of 180 seconds.  Now that's a ton of defense for an extended period of time. 

Now if we look down the hacker tree at the Artillerist tree you have Combat Hacking which gives the following buffs.  Ballistic, and Melee Defense (20 pts) for both; IS cost reduction (15%) for 32 seconds.  IS cost is 20, reuse timer of 298 seconds.  Now it is decent ballistic and Melee Defense, but no where close to the full boat that Serene Calm gives.  Now it doese give good IS cost reduction and doesn't cost as much IS, but for hackers who live and die via IS out of, and especially in Interlock it makes a difference. 

When you add Serene calm to the general free 47 pts of viral defense that you get from hyper deflect (When I say free it's because you can run that defense along with another of your choice, making the viral defense an easy pick for people to have along with their choice of the melee, ballistic, or thrown defense from the other awakened abilities)  You add the basic free hyper deflect 47 pts, plus what you pick up from awakened and what not, then add on another 37 pts for 40 seconds.... Well in my opinion it makes it unbalanced.  Heck I think just being able to run the hyper deflect plus another defense of your choice is unbalanced.  I say give us the choice of any two and be done with the bias against hackers. 

I seriously think that they need to do a few things here.  I don't like the idea of cutting back on abilities so I propose that you bump up combat hacking to include all defenses at 25-30 pts of defense and get the IS cost reduction down to 5-10% and increase the duration to 40 seconds, reduce the reuse timer from 298 seconds to 180 seconds, and increase the IS from 20 pts to 30 pts. 

I also don't think it'd be to bad of an idea to increase the duration of upgrade attacks, but somehow I don't think anyone would go for that.  I'm just saying there are times when I've had full, and I mean full Viral Accuracy... All viral clothing, with upgrade attacks running, and you just can't hit these guys running with that ability.  40 seconds of that much defense is a long long time, by the time it runs out my IS in or out of interlock is gone.  There needs to be a balance for this.

I know I'm coming at this without very good examples, but since the last patch my viral accuracy just hasn't been the same.  I'm missing people that I usually dont miss.  I throw on upgrade attacks, hit someone with a Viral Def buff or even two and then miss every single one of my next 4-5 attacks. 

I thought it was just on my Recursion toon, but I've really started noticing it on Vector as well.

Is there anybody else out there who has noticed something kind of a bit off with their Viral Accuracy?  Was something done with the accuracy during the last patch?

Upgrade Attacks, Overclock, and combat hacking can all be activated in IL.  Why not Range Booster?  Upgrade attacks increases Viral Accuracy.  Overclock increases Viral Damage.  Combat Hacking increases defense and IS cost reduction.  Range Booster increases Area Radius.  I say have Range Booster useable in IL like the other abilities listed.

Over the past several, several months I've noticed a marked decline in the Zion Events. I decided to take a look at the live events that have taken place on Vector and other Servers.  I labeled the events as follows RED = Merovinigan event / Blue = Zion + EPN / Yellow = Machine + Cypherite / Normal text = All Org event (I have attempted to isolate out EPN and Cypherite events where it was mostly EPN or Cypherites that were engaged in the RP by the Live Events characters these will be noted with a *****).

I have specifically emphasized events with Merv., Machine/Cyph, and Zion/EPN that involve a good RP between Live Event Characters and members of the specific org for example meetings in org locked buildings, Live Event characters personally speaking with and tasking orgs, factions, or players to do specific tasks to complete in the RP event.

06/23/06 RECURSION - This might be a good spot: A EPN only event involving L.E.T. TheKid. During this event TheKid held a operative meeting with EPN's in an org locked building. The kid advised the operatives that he needed their help in searching the Zero One construct. The Kid lead the EPN operatives into the Zero One construct where he examined various areas. A battle with a spawn of Special Agent's ensued as well (***THIS EVENT WAS SPECIFICALLY A EPN EVENT***)

06/28/06 RECURSION - Termination of terrorist Casque confirmed: A all org event involving L.E.T. Agent Pace and Casque. During this event Zion, Merv, and Machine operatives were tasked to search a specific building looking for one of Anome's crew a spy by the name of Casque. After the event Agent Pace held a meeting with all orgs to discuss the results inside.

07/07/06 RECURSION - They are allowing themselves to be manipulated for an evil purpose: A all org event involving L.E.T. Seraph. During this event Seraph was found in Downtown fighting PB4 angels. Merv, Machine and Zion operatives joined in combat with Seraph against the PB4 angels

07/11/06 RECURSION - The very young don't seem to think about peace much: A Machine event involving a specific faction with L.E.T. The Oracle. During this event the Oracle was found at Debir Court where she engaged in RP with all orgs. Subsequently the Oracle joined the mission team of a specific Machine faction and entered a mission area (her apartment) for one on one RP with the faction members. (This falls under the heading of a random Live Event Character entering the game for RP, however a single org and faction is singled out for a special one on one with the Live Event Character)

07/14/06 RECURSION - Study their patterns. Learn their powers: A Machine/Cypherite only event involving L.E.T. Cryptos. During this event Cryptos held a Machine/Cypherite operative meeting in an org locked building. During the meeting Cryptos advised the Machine/Cypherite operatives that they needed to study their Unlimit enemies. He then lead the operatives on a battle fighting unlimits (This event did appear to be a combined Machine - Cypherite event with no special consideration given to one specific group)

07/25/06 RECURSION - I play rough, baby: A all org event involving L.E.T. Anome. During the event Anome was found in downtown Megacity spawning unlimits and fighting with various org operatives

07/20/06 RECURSION - We have a report of unauthorized access on the Merovingian's systems: A Merovingian event involving L.E.T. Maxson (Unlimit). During this event Merovingian operatives received a org message from Flood advising them that Unlimts had been seen downtown. Mervs tracked down the unlimit Maxson and a battle ensued. All orgs were able to participate in the fighting against the Unlimits

07/27/06 RECURSION - We estimate 30 minutes to firewall failure in the assaulted sectors: A Machine event involving L.E.T. Agent Gray, and Unlimit. During this event Agent Gray met with specific Machine operatives and informed them of Anome and his Unlimits attempts to disable hardlines at various places throughout Mega City. Machine operatives began receiving org messages advising them of hardlines in various sectors and a time deadline to firewall failure in the different sectors was initiated. After the event Agent Gray again met with specific Machine operatives.

07/28/06 RECURSION - The Effectuator no longer has an excuse for delaying his search: A Merovingian only player specific event involving L.E.T. Flood. During this event Flood met with Merv operatives in a org locked building. Flood advised the Merv. operatives that Anome had targeted specific business throughout Mega City and tasked operatives to go to the specific businesses to gather information in hopes of tracking down the unlimit Phenora. After finding a survivor at one of the business the Merv operatives were able to find and dispatch Phenora.

08/04/06 RECURSION - Today's the day we get Niobe back: A Zion event involving L.E.T. Niobe, Ghost, and The Effectuator. During this event Ghost held an Zion meeting in an org locked building advising Zion of the rescue attempt to be made to get Niobe back. Zion and Merovingian forces battled Unlimits in various sectors of Mega City resulting in Ghost and numerous Zion, Machine and Merv, operatives freeing Niobe from Bishop Imports in International.

08/11/06 RECURSION - Our duty is to survive. There is nothing more than that.: A Merovingian only event involving L.E.T. the Merovingian. During this event the Merovingian had a meeting with Merv operatives in a org locked room involving extensive RP about rescuing Niobe and the Vials now in possession of Anome

08/16/06 RECURSION - I've got to find him before he hurts more people: A all org event with L.E.T. the Kid. During this event the Kid was spotted searching Mega City for TaeCross who had apparently gone rogue

08/18/06 RECURSION - Neo wanted everyone to have the freedom to choose: A all org event involving L.E.T. The Kid, and Agent Gray. During this event code bombs were set off at various churches in Mega City during some of the activity Tactical Security spawned and attacked players. After the bombs had been detonated The Kid came in for RP as did eventually Agent Gray.

08/22/06 RECURSION - "She doesn't get in touch with me just to play cards": An all org event with L.E.T. TheMessenger. During this event TheMessenger is spotted running around to different districts in Westview and Richland warning RedPills of impending danger

08/24/06 RECURSION - This Sector will soon be under control: A Machine and Merovingian event with L.E.T. Agent Gray, Anome, Club Guard. During this event a selected group of Machine players lead a assault on a Merovingian party as a distraction, while the main Machine assault took place against the Mervs at Club Hell. Club Guards were spawned to help hold the Machines back from Club Hell, Agent Gray was involved in the Club Hell assault where Anome showed up and spawned Unlimits. All orgs were able to participate in the combat at the various places though this was mostly a Machine / Merovinigan event

08/31/06 RECURSION - My dears, that was simply too easy!: Machine Cypherite only event involving L.E.T. Veil. During this event Veil took a group of Machine and Cypherite players into Zero One archive storming the platform and killing all the Hostile Players most of which appeared to be Zion.

09/08/06 RECURSION - Unlimit Soldiers are attacking power stations in Guinnesss Lake: A Machine event involving L.E.T. Agent Gray, Agent Pace, The Oracle, and Various Blue Pills. During this event Machines received an org message that Unlimits were attacking power stations in Guinness Lake. During the battle other orgs were able to participate and did. At the end of the event an all org meeting was held with Agent Pace and The Oracle

09/13/06 RECURSION - That freak going after people's Tastee Wheat: A Zion event involving L.E.T. Niobe and Tungsten. During this event Zion operatives where sent to Penhurst-Amaranth HQ downtown to battle Tungsten. During the event all orgs were able to participate in taking Tungsten down.

09/14/06 RECURSION - For your power, of course!: A Merovingian only event involving L.E.T. Peresephone and Beirn. During this event Persephone holds a meeting with Merv operatives and specific Merv players who Persephone tasks to bring her Beirn. These operatives and Persephone then take Beirn into custody and lock him into a Merv Construct

09/21/06 RECURSION - But if it's a warning? A all org event involving L.E.T. Seraph. During this event Seraph meets up with Ghost at the Twin Azimuth Monument. After Ghost leaves Seraph stays and conducts a role play session with operatives who happen upon him

09/29/06 REURSION - I don't fancy my odds in this one!: A all org event involving Seraph and Cryptos. During this event Seraph is holding a meeting with operatives in International District and dueling them. Cryptos shows up and duels Seraph as well

10/02/06 RECURSION - Increased gang activity at Pendhurst-Amaranth's Southard plant: A Zion event involving a specific Zion faction with L.E.T. Marcel Petiot. During this event a specific Zion faction is tasked by Tyndall to investigate the Guillotine gang in Southard. The faction proceeds to the area and a RP event with Marcel Petiot takes place

10/06/06 RECURSION - The true Anome may be even harder to hit!: A Machine only event Faction Specific Event involving L.E.T. Agent Pace. During this event a Machine faction is taken into the Machine construct by Agent Pace who helps them battle and defeat an Anome spawn.

10/09/06 RECURSION - He is to be apprehended, but not damaged: A Machine only event involving Agent Gray and Unlimit Meillak. During this event Agent Gray holds a Machine meeting in an org locked building and tasks the Machines to find the unlimit Meillak. When Meillak is found a RP event begins and eventually Handgun Sims are generated and a battle where Agent Gray engaged ensues.

10/13/06 RECURSION - Sounds like he's probably got mother issues too: A Zion only event involving specific players and L.E.T. Niobe and P.A. Security Guard Tancred (Unlimit). During this event L.E.T. Niobe tasks specific Zion players, disguised as Guillotine Gang, to gather information about Brenda Utley. The operatives engaged in RP questioning with L.E.T. Security Guard Tancred who spawned a group of Corporate Security Sentinel's when the questioning goes bad, only to reveal later that he is an Unlimit. Later a Zion meeting with Niobe is held in a org locked building

10/17/06 RECURSION - It was late at night. In the middle of the projects: A all org role play event involving L.E.T. The Bag Lady. During this event the Bag Lady turns up at the Azimuth Monument and conducts a role play event with all orgs

10/23/06 RECURSION - The guards have been far to lenient with them: A Merovingian only event with L.E.T. Flood, Half Twin, and Digger. During this event Flood held a meeting with Merv operatives in an org locked building. Flood advised operatives that the exile contact Digger should be contacted to obtain additional information about the twin and pieces of him. Merv operatives were dispatched to find digger and then to Creston Museum where Mervs fought spawning elite guards. The end of the event resulted in the Mervs obtaining an additional body part of the Twin and returning all back to Flood at the original org locked building

  Is there any reason at all why you can have everysingle level of antibiotic running at the same time.  You can not do that with the Health Boosts, or the CT booters, so why the ANTIBIOTICS.  Is it just to give people more of an advantage over hackers?  It's bad enough the debuff timers are so low, but do we really need to have people running around with 4 or more pills running that all have a percentage chance of removing a hackers debuff?  Let's get some balance and have it one pill at a time as it is with all the other consumables.

Don't know why I didn't see this earlier, but if you have the Upgrade Master buff running and you activate the hacker buff Overclock... Well Overclock removes the Upgrade Master buff.  I know this has to be a bug as Overclock only upgrades Viral Damage and lasts for 20 seconds while Upgrade Master buffs alot of stuff and lasts for 600 seconds or is it 300 seconds.  Either way I did a /ccr bug report and thought I would bring it here so everyone could be aware of it.

I know that the DEVS are ramping up the Zero One Construct, but I think it is desperatley time to go back and revamp all the construct drops.  Many of the items are really not very useful, and are way below many of the Enhanced Items that can be found out and about in the Market Place or from other players.  It takes alot of time to get the construct drops and it honestly just doesn't seem to be worth it.  Post your thoughts and suggestions as you deem necessary.

Yes I am once again bringing up this issue.  I was AGAIN testing out Dev Field today.  I was testing the damage so with that in mind my stats were as follows.  Viral Damage was set to the base of 47 and the Viral Damage Bonus was 80 %.  I had a faction member remove all of his abilities down to awakened which put his viral resistance according to his stats bar down to ZERO. 


Here is the info on Dev Field (Viral DPS 1 / casting time is 8 seconds / reuse timer 30 seconds / AOE 6 meters)  Now with my stats in mind when I hit the faction member I did a total of 487 viral damage.  I did this same amount of damage every single time I landed Dev Field. 


Now let us look at Code nuke 3.0 (Viral DPS 25 / casting time 4 seconds / reuse timer 4 seconds / AOE 6 meters)  When I hit the same guy with this attack I consistently did 462 damage. 


Now let us look at Logic Bomb 2.0 (Viral DPS 23 / casting time 4 seconds / reuse timer 4 seconds / AOE 4 meters)  When I hit the same guy with this attack I consistently did 447 damage. 


Now seeing how code nuke 3.0 and logic bomb 2.0 combined have a 8 second timer and can continually be cast one then the other with a combined damage of 909.  Where as Dev Field casts time is 8 seconds with a reuse timer of 30 SECONDS.  That means that you can cast code nuke 3.0 and logic bomb 2.0 both three times before you can cast Dev Field again.  The total damage difference is 2727 viral damage for code nuke 3.0 and logic bomb 2.0 versus…. That’s right 487 for Dev Field.  Now does that seem right to you…?  Dev. Field does have a chance to stun but who knows what that percentage is now and all stuns last only about 4-6 seconds so what is the incentive of having this ability?  That’s right…. None.  Can we please put some teeth back into Dev Field and some of the other hacker abilities that have been killed?  Bump up the area Radius a bunch.  Get rid of the stun on it and give more damage.  Something… Anything just make it a useful ability.  Up next…. CODE INFECTION 4.0

I know I know.... You are all thinking *CENSORED* what is Broin doing posting a Ganker's Chronicles.  Well as many of you know I've been here a long while and have had a lot of run ins with people but what I am about to describe is about the best so far so I thought I'd share.... Okay here is the lowdown

 

I'm in Mara C fighting Merv's not doing to badly but there are alot of those bugggers around... You know how they are like moths to a flame.  Anyways Zion decides to roll in and it's pretty much over.  There are a few who stick around to be killed, and I'm more than happy to oblige them.  Well I get this crazy message from this guy.  Something like "Next time you F_____R don't run away when I'm killing you" 

 

Well this guy (We'll call him Mr. W) runs back through Mara C and I chase him to the hypercube where I begin to hack him to death.  A few other Zion find us and start attacking.  He get's out and jumps away and runs... I pursue alone and he keeps running so I send him a PM back about running and that is where the fun begins... Screen shots attached.   Needles to say the guy wants  a 1vs1 against me, and says if I beat him he'll leave MXO.  LOL I try to get him to come to Uriah SW where I am alone but he won't do it.  So I tell him to pick his place.  He does I go there.  We fight he dies.  Then the crying continues.  As you'll see in the screenshots he asks if I am ready and as I'm typing up 'Sure' he types the word 'MA'.  As soon as I hit sure I start a Hack.  He deflects it gives a "LOL" and the fight begins full force.  It's not until he's dead that he starts the whinning.  Moral to the story you gonna challenge someone to a fight you better be ready and be bringing your 'A' Game, ESPECIALLY when you say you'll leave the game if you lose.  When you arrive on the scene you better be ready to rock and roll and when the fighting starts don't be crying when it's all said and done and your lying dead on the ground.

Can anyone explain to me why this high level ability which causes damage and roots the player in place has a reuse time of only 6 seconds.  That makes absolutley no sense at all.  I run as a hacker and code freeze 1.0 has a reuse timer of 58 seconds with a root of only 28 seconds which most people shrug off in like 8-10 (This means the reuse is basically twice the length of what the root would be).  Code Freeze 2.0 has a reuse timer of 43 seconds with a root of only 19 seconds which most people are out of in about 5-10 seconds (Again the reuse is about twice the length of the root timer)...  And neither of these abilities do any damage whatsoever.   Paralyzing throw has a D.P.S. of 30 a root of 8 seconds and a reuse timer of 6 so basically they can renew the root on you before it has even run out and keep doing damage.  *CENSORED* that does not make any sense at all.  A player can keep rooted and keep killing you while you are unable to run or jump away.

I have been testing out the damage over time attacks in the Hacker tree along with the Vector ability which reduces Viral Defense by -35 pts and also the Insidious Code ability which reduces Viral Resistance by -100 pts.  Now I can't remember how it goes but I think it goes something like defense determines how easy you are hit by something and resistance is how much damage you shrug off.   Either way I tested this alot with both abilities
 
I went down to Creston and tested lvl 46 1-chevron NPC's with Code Infection 4.0 and got a standard roll established on the ability for the damage over time.  I then hit the same lvl and chevron NPC with the Vector ability (-35 pts Viral Defense) and then Code Infection 4.0 the damage over time did not change.  I theh hit the same lvl and chevron NPC with the Insidious Code ability (-100 pts Viral Resistance) and then Code Infection 4.0 the damage over time did not change.   Does that make since.  If you hit a NPC or player  with something that should lower the resistance to a particular type of damage then you should see that damage increase, but it doesn't.  Bug or not? 
 
Also I'd like to state that I think certain damage over time abilities should stack.  Now I know we don't want the Plagues Zone 2.0 and Infect Area 2.0 stacking that would be crazy and we don't want the Code Infections stacking with the other selected single enemy damage over time abilities.  However I would think that the single enemy damage over time should stack with the area damage over time abilities. 
 
If everything is now based off of DPS then it should work itself out.  The area damage over times are lower damage while the single enemy ones are higher.  It's the same as Logic barrage and code nuke.  Logic barrage does more damage to a single person and on your next attack you can hit that person with a code nuke or Dev Field. 
 
Just my thoughts and I definatley would like some clarification on the first part.... Hint hint... Rarebit, NoRepro, Anyone.... :smileyhappy:

Okay folks have you ever been in the middle of a fight and seen a group of Furious Angels jump down and wash over you like a red tide.... Ever been zerged and wished that some of those Zion fighters would switch allegiances.  Ever been standing in the middle of Mara C and seen me jump down with Stuns, Pacifies, Bottlenecks, Despoiler, Dev Field, and get away clean without being touched and think.... "Damnit why can't he be on my crew"  
 
Well today is your lucky day.  Today and today only myself and many of the Furious Angels have decided to lend our services out to any RED who needs help.  That's right, you heard it.  If your in the middle of a fight and you see an Angel online all you have to do is send that Angel a /t with the words "Nik nak patty wack"  and we will immediatley drop our crew and will /t you back when we are ready for an invite into yours with the message "Give a dog a Tbone." 
 
It doesn't even matter if you are even in the middle of fighting FA.  You see a FA member give him the /t code words "Nik nak patty wack" and he'll drop out and immediatley turn on his own.  I tell you what folks my Ballista loadout is up and running and the Howitzer is close to done also, so don't miss this opprotunity to rain hacks down from the heavens like hellfire.

Well lot’s of drama over the past few weeks aye?  As most of you know I’ve been around quite sometime, though if you’re mostly a forum troll you probably haven’t heard much from me.  Anyways to clear up some things quickly, several weeks ago I’m sure many of you were aware of the sudden rise of the mass numbers of new lvl 50 characters, from the various exploits out there.  Well during that time period I spent a lot of time talking to Masta-Dues and finally convinced him to report the disable device exploit, he and his faction were using.  When he did this he asked me to hold onto his mask until things blew over.  I did such with the knowledge that I would give it back to him.  Shortly after that Dues (logged on under Kable) advised me that he had been perma banned from all SOE games, and then stated that he was going to sell the mask for real world cash.  He had a buyer all lined up and the price set.  I advised him I was not going to be part of a EULA violation.  Simply put by giving the mask to a person who had been banned with the knowledge that it was going to be sold (a violation of EULA) would place me in the middle of the violation, a place I was not going to be. 

Shortly after advising Dues of what my take was on this, his accounts all became unbanned…?  But I was still not willing to be part of the EULA violation.  During the time period I had the mask I did not wear it, and was not planning on it.  I debated deleting it but it is a special in game item and I could not justify removing such an item from the community as a whole.   

As you are all aware there have been issues with certain SOE staff members giving out information to The Forsaken about who reported them for exploiting, as well as advising the Forsaken that they were being watched by other CSR’s for exploiting and should lay low.   Tonight I was pulled into the white room and advised by that CSR that if I did not give the mask to the CSR to be given back to Dues that I would be facing a perma-ban from all SOE games.   Without the certainty that I could get myself unbanned as others have, I returned the mask to the CSR who will be returning it to Dues. 

Unlike others I will not waste forum time with massive amounts of screen shots or chat logs of what transpired bewteen me and the CSR or me and Dues/Untochable/TylerDurden /Kable/etc., to prove my point, nor will I break down to hate speech.  Needless to say I have serious questions about the quality of CSR interaction and decision making process that they take against various players. 

I hesitate to even post this because we all know where it will go, but for all those who have known me so long and wanted to hear my take there it is.  Of course there is more to all of this but much to much to put on the forums
