  I've recently returned to the game and from what I can see it appears to be pretty dead these days.  Been having issues getting the game to play on my PC, but I was able to get MxO running on my laptop.  I'm "relatively" new to Syntax, I made a character over here a couple years ago and shes still level 19 and I have 2 alts one level 10 the other is level 5.

  But alas I'm still gonna test the waters to see if theres any Zion factions out there that don't require you to RP?  Just by looking at the recent recruitment posts made here in this forum most appear to be RP centric factions, but I may be wrong.  I'm also not wanting to join a "I pwned your mom" sorta faction, so if you're 10 years old but act like you're 2, don't bother.  If your faction or you know of a faction that sounds like it'd be a good fit please let me know.  My ingame characters are B0mbsh311, Danlo, and CodeWarden

3 days, 4 uninstall/reinstalls, 1 System Defrag and Scan, over 2 dozen Full Scans, and 1 half arsed Support ticket and its still freezing between Authenticating and the character Select screen.....

I've tried both, with the same results each time.

Though I did decide to download the game on to my laptop and it fired right up the first time(shame I hate playing games on my laptop).  Only real difference between my laptop and PC is that I use XP on my PC and Vista on my laptop.  Dunno if that has anything to do with it but its the only thing I can come up with.

Day 2 of paying for attempted logins has begun.  I must say that I'm really enjoying my first 2 days back in the game....

Now, is "sometimes" equal to an entire day?  Cause I've been trying since about 10 AM this morning and its now 2 AM and still having the same problem.  I submitted a ticket, but it appears we only have 1 CSR for MxO these days?  Or maybe its just 1 forum Mod.

Hope all went well, I had really hoped to be there since thats one of the things that I always enjoyed MxO, the ingame events.  The only downfall of this one that you had to be ingame to take part.  Authentication server FTL   Oh well, hopefully there will some new events coming soon.

And I suppose technically its not freezing at Authenticating, it freezes a split second after Authenticating completes.

And I wouldn't be suprised if the reason they haven't bothered to fix this is because they are prolly working on the "Matrix Online Trading Card Game".  They found a little cash cow over there in SWG with thier card game.  Its how "new" content is added now.

Wow, can't believe I thought I'd get a quicker response here.  13 users logged into the forums right now??  This game must be a serious joke these days.  I consider SWG a dead/dying game and its got over 400 users logged into the forums right now.

I suppose my next question should be can I get a refund on the money I spent to activiate the Station Pass on this account?  No sense paying 30$ to play SWG this month.

Hello,

I decided this morning that I'd fire up MXO again so resubbed my account using the Station Pass and redownloaded the game.  But when I try to launch it starts ok, the logo appears and its making "Matrix" noises but then suddenly its opening the Station account page and making me log in.  My account is active under the Station Pass and I can log into Star Wars Galaxies with no problems using the same account.

I was wondering if this is common and if there is anything I can do?  I found a similar post with a guy having the same problem and someone had linked him to a file to place in my MXO folder to stop it from opening that page.  I tried that but it didn't do anything(though it appeared that whatever it was I was supposed to save to MXO folder was just an empty Wordpad Doc).

It seems I've found a way around the account page popping up but now the launcher freezes at Authenticating.....

There seems to be alot of posts about this here on the forums, but alas no one puts in thier solution if there is one
