I congratulate and support any creative efforts to run stories and player events. Especially with sext graphics like those!

However, I agree with everyone else who's said that trying to continue/explore/elaborate upon the canon storyline would be an exercise in futility. Coming up with bunches of great, little Matrix-y storylines across multiple factions and organizations is totally the way to go. Totally

The biggest problem that I've seen is that most MMO's do not promote reading. Since most others are based on a combination of quests and mob-grinding, most players have a tendency not to bother, or even have the patience, to read quest text (or any kind of in-game text for that matter) anymore.

MxO is the only MMO I've ever played that is almost entirely based on missions and storyline to advance your character (why I love it so much). So not bothering to read NPC dialogue or mission text would horribly handicap new players to the game.

I also agree that asking the devs to change the newbie jack-in spot from Uriah to Mara C will never happen, so we'd need to change our hang-out to Uriah SW (where there are benches, etc)

To be honest, though, the best way for a new player to meet other players is to come here, to the forums and post a hello. We worship the ground new players walk on (well....most of us are happy to see them, anyway) and will always go out of our way to meet them in-game, etc.

1. The Sirens have quite a few crickets chirping these days. I became the leader last Spring when the last few active Sirens other than myself pretty much left the game. I'd love to have some girls back in the faction, but Recursion is rather spartan these days, so I content myself with running solo most days. Frequent breaks away from the game on my part make recruitment difficult as well.

Like Saint Nicks, it's difficult not to be heartbroken by this news, and so I'll embrace those tears and use them to smile and remember everything that has brought a smile to my face when thinking about the wonderful and unique interactive experience we are blessed with as players in MxO. I don't want to call this a game, because like many people have said, it's been more than that to us.

I remember the excitement of jacking into open beta, and then finding the wonderful family that was the Sirens. MxO is truly unique - A story-driven MMO that actually focuses on an epic storyline and making the players truly feel they're contributing parts of that storyline. No other MMO on the market can compare. I remember scrambling through live events with my Siren sisters and having the results of our efforts actually influence storylines to the Merovingian faction's favour, while those on other servers influenced it to their factions. Truly brilliant.

Thank you, Rarebit, for being our champion here for so long. For all the work you've done keeping this dream alive for us. For carrying our torch and doing such a shockingly amazing mountain of work with such limited resources.

I have never cancelled my subscription, even during long absences and breaks away from the game. I believe in MxO and want to show my support even in such a small way, and I know I'm not the only one to have done so.

On behalf of the Sirens, thank you for every ounce of love and labour you have given to MxO, and all the best for everything you do in the future.

I agree with odj and cloudwolf. Since when is "actions left for the current turn" considered to be a valid, in-character comment? When's the last time you had a conversation that went: "Hey, I'll be right back - I have to go the bathroom" and someone replied "I'm sorry, no you can't, you've already used up all your actions for this turn. Please initiate going to the bathroom at the start of your next turn"?

To be fair, MxOs content can be quiet sparse as it is, and at first glance it looks like if you have a higher level character you have been cut out of this content unless your willing to grind another character.  (Unlike the lower level Headless or Industrial Fedora which you could still get)
But granted, we dont know all the details yet so mabey we should wait till we get more before making asumptions but if they dont give out more details, we will have to guess.
