Wow, this kinda came outa nowhere, and gotta say looks pretty da mn impressive. A bit different, slightly gimmicky, but VERY cool looking. This trailer gives one hell of a presentation if you as me.

You know what really grinds my gears... pretty food. I mean come on! Why should I give a crap what the food looks like? Within reason ofcourse, I dont want my food to look like a road kill skunk, but all the fancy pantsy foo foo bull**** that some resturants (big ego chefs) do to your food just seems pointless. The way I look at it is, if they spent the time and effort elsewhere, the food might taste better, and it might also get to my table quicker. Amirght?

Times are tough, hours are low and getting lower. I work a 8:30-5:30 job M-F and I can't really nor do I want to quit. I really need to find a 2nd job at night or weekends. Anyone have any suggestions that are NOT fast food or walmart? lol I keep looking into it, but can't come up with anything.

My room mates PC wont boot up. This morning he noticed that it appeared to be frozen, his desktop was up but he had no cursor. So he powered down manually but when he turned it back on it wouldn't boot up.

The machine is getting power, but nothing really happens, except it beeps (3 long beeps) and one of the fans starts blowing REALLY hard. Its a Gateway and he bought it from best buy. I told him to check see if its still under warranty and take it to geek squad at best buy, but it would help if he had an idea what could be the problem maybe.

I think the CPU went kaput, but I don't know jack. Why would the fan be blowing so hard right at powerup?

Any of you gurus got any ideas what could be the problem let me know plz.

null, I think we have it all worked out. Took the ram out and cleaned it a little switched them around and put them back in and seems to be fine now.

Brett, my roommate of 4 1/2 years, is moving out so he can go to school, so I'm helping him move, and Amanda is moving in with me to help me out with bills AND because Patrica, her mom, is moving in with her GF, Yolanda. But on top of that, Brett's brother Wes just recently got screwed over by his other brother Mark in their apartment they were sharing (which is a whole other story, a good one too) So, Wes is moving in with me and Amanda since I now technically have a spare bedroom. Amanda and I are getting Brett's old room (cuz its a little bigger) and we don't give a flying **** what happens to Mark cuz he screwed over Wes pretty bad.

I drew a little diagram to help make sense of it all lol.

Now as an added bonus I will tell you the story of Wes and Mark which is irrelevant, but entertaining yet infuriating. 1st a little background on Wes. He is a very cool guy and one of my best friends, literally a gentle giant and a big dork but I love the guy. He's 28 (i think) and has been living on his own since he was 20 or so, and had no problems what so ever.

Now Mark... He is a piece of **** and he is the youngest of the brothers (Wes > Brett > Mark) almost 21 and has lived with his dad up until a few months ago he was told he needed to get his own place because they need the room for the twin babys that are comeing (dad is catholic lol) So Wes decides to help Mark out by suggestion they get a place together since he would be on his own for the 1st time, and Wes is just a good guy and trying to be a good brother.

Since we all know Mark so well, we all wondered whether or not Mark could handle paying bills and knew something was going to happen eventually that had to be delt with. But what we didn't know (because mark didn't tell anyone) was that he was belly up in credit card debt thus causing he and his brother, (who had spotless credit) to get evicted after only 3 months.

Mark owes Wes over 400 dollars, plus late fees in rent, so Wes took Mark's laptop as collateral. Mark then snuck into We's room while he slept, stole his keys and got his laptop out of Wes's car. Wes got the laptop back and hid it at thier dad's house. Mark then, while Wes was at work, stole his PS3 and Desktop computer and has now vanished.

So yea, I got a fun Labor day weekend coming up

I think I have a new version of Smitfraud... Any knowledge of how I could get rid of it would be a GREAT help. I've tried all the "old" fixes and they havent worked, which is why I think this might be a new version. That and it doesnt seem to act exactly the same, but very similar.

All I can say is WOW... I never played the 1st Farcry, but from what I understand, this sequel has very little attachment to the old one. You've GOT to check out these trailers if your a fan of Farcry or just FPS games in general.

With the extream success of 'The Dark Knight' and all the early talk of a 3rd movie, I thought it would be fun to have a thread the the sole purpose of letting people talk about what they would like in a 3rd film. Feel free to use your imagination, but please try and be a little realistic SMILEY

Me personally my mind is bursting with ideas, as I'm sure many people's are. One of my favorite ideas so far is one Ebola mentioned and Have a Batman Vs. Superman film. With the way Dark Knight ends, with Batman on the run takeing the blame for TwoFace's murders its a perfect set up. Who is gonna catch batman? The cops? pfft yea right, better bring out the big guns, heh. Lets say GCPD asks Superman to stop Batman, or perhaps Superman simply hears about how Batman has crossed the line and needs to be stopped and decides to take matters in his own hands. Throw in Lex Luther, and lets say after finding a way off that island he decides to set his eyes on Gotham and take over Wayne Industries an rebuild his power. (happend in the comics btw)

But lets take a step back, for 2 reasons. 1. This wouldnt reallt be a "Batman 3" and 2. Theres no way you could film a Batman/Superman movie with the same style and tone and the 1st to Batman films. SO... lets move on.

A lot of people seems to have The Riddler as thier 1st choice in Batman 3. Also The Ventriloquist. I like both those character however, the more I think about it the more I think they should have small parts because they are both a bit to unrealistic or campy. Heres why... The Riddler while a great realistic choice, simply isnt that much of a threat. He isnt really a killer, however he could be made to be one for the movie. But he doesnt have any real connection to batman. He is just a crook who leaves clues in riddles because he can't help himself. The Ventriloquist on the otherhand is the exact opposit. He (or rather the puppet scareface) is a murdering S.O.B. and a very dark character. But he is on the unrealistic side too. Scareface isa mob boss, who is gonna take orders from guy and a puppet. Also he to doesnt have much of a connection to Batman, just another mob boss.

Ok so lets list some villians I think could fit very well into a 3rd Batman film, but at the same time make it as epic as the 1st 2 films

Talia (Ra's al Ghul's daughter)
Ra's al Ghul himself
~~Killer Croc (if portrated correctly)~~ nah nvm... to dumb
Bane
Poision Ivy (tone her down a bit)

Now I've got tons ideas for each of these characters, none of which are romotely like the god awful old films. But I gotta say My favorite idea would be to include Catwoman and Talia into the same movie. Even tho that is WAY to much potential love story I think it could work. I would also work Penguin in there as someone trying to take over the Gotham Crime syndicate since Maroni is sleepin with the fishes see. Might could even Work Ra's al Ghul back in but I think that would be a little to much perhaps.

Anywho... I've rambled to much. I want to hear your ideas SMILEY

With the near coming changes to the internet, also dubbed "Web 2.0" I can see this actually happening. For those of you that don't know what Web 2.0 is, its basically a change in how domains and addresses work. But my theories, one part of my crys bullocks, and another part of me says, its actually pretty plausible. 30 years ago no one thought we'd ever be paying for TV, but here we are with extensive different packages going from $10 to $100 a month. In the video they mention the fact that its "just company's that want to make money and they don't care" While I'm sure thats obviously true, I also think it has a lot to do with controlling information on a world wide government scale. I think the higher ups (whom ever they may be) know that the internet is an extremely power tool and resource of freedom of speech and freedom of information.

Things happen and we literally know about it in minutes, some times seconds. How can you lie to the people if the truth gets out before you can think of a lie to tell them. If you control the places where people get their information, you control the information. As I said, part of me thinks **bullcrud**, but the pessimist in me says its a great possibility.

I dont know if this is old news or what, but its new news to me. Coming in Oct 2008. I'm glad i didnt get it for my pc (cuz it wouldn't run on high settings)

Sux really bad.... like really really bad. Honestly can not point out one good thing about this game. Game play is confusing and unintuitive, graphics are no where NEAR on par with todays games, voice acting is annoying and bad, dialog is even worse, controls are unresponsive. and from what little I have seen of the story so far, its dull and feels pointless.

I have not played any of the online... co-op or vs. But I really dont give a crap about that. This game is just plain horrible.

Saw last night. Enjoyed it. Nothing super special or epic, but very entertaining.

If your a fan of the Indiana Jones franchise then you will love it and it is one fun and funny reuinion. If not a fan youll still like it a lot because its a very fun movie, and very funny at parts. There are some elements to the film that feel very "not indy" but for the most part its all good. Somthing about the film doesnt have that magnitizm as the old ones tho. My girlfriend says its because there is no more sex appeal in Harrison Ford lol <_<

One thing I was very pleased with was Shya Lablouf. I was afraid he was going to be the same character has always, a bumbling, clumbsy doofus, but he turned out to be a pretty cool character if you ask me.

wow, its been three full days since a post has been made in this section of the boards.

This thread is partly related to Neopill's odj's Vatican thread.

In the past year or so, recent months especially, one of two things have been happening. Either I'm just going a bit looney, or we are being slightly prepared for a huge change in the way we see life. It seems like everywhere I turn, everywhere I look I see references to alien life and/or life outside earth. Now I don't mean I'm having dreams or visions of little green men, but if you pay attention to the media around us (tv, papers, magazines, and the internet) you'll notice there has been a vast increase of talks about Alien, UFOs, other planets with life, ect. And now as said in Neopills's thread, even the Vatican says "its ok to believe in aliens" and for those of you who don't know, the catholic church is one secretive and powerful organization, make no mistake about that.

To the point, I think all this is a way to soften the blow so to speak, when the real news comes.

I know its a long time before this games comes out, but still, im getting more and more excited about it. Recently released was a 5 min gamplay footage of the game. Killzone 2 will be THE next FPS to beat, I just know it.

I thought I would resurrect one of my favorite threads from back in the day, 'Other Side of the Loading Area'. Rather then necro a thread which last post was 2 years ago I decided to just make a new one. So the idea is simple, basically just post pictures of your "operator's station" while your jacked into the matrix. I really enjoyed the glimpse into other player's home within their home, i.e. their computer desk, and enjoyed sharing mine as well. So I'll start it off.

Just recently acquired a 2nd 19" LCD which brings gaming and computing to a whole new level. Very nifty.

I know what your thinking, "We've talked about this many times in the past" But I urge you to read this idea as I put a lot of thought into it.

Now when I 1st thought about veteran rewards, I naturally went immediately to the requirements, and thought the best way to hand out any sort of reward would be by compared how old characters are. i.e. if you've been playing a year, you qualify, 2 years, qualify twice, and so on and so fourth. However the more I thought about it the more it seemed unfair to devoted players. SO... heres my idea.

Characters are given special tokens once that character reaches a certain /play time. The amount of time is totally up to the devs, weather it be 20 days or 100 days, no sense and arguing that point. These tokens can be traded to special collectors for a special item or ability (I know, fat chance on an ability but just throwing it out there) The collectors will have multiple items to choose from, but will each require the same token. This ensures that not everyone has the same special item and adds a little more diversity. These items would need to be uber, like on par with the Area K, patchers headgear, and the quicksilver gloves as to create a real sense of need and want for the items. But also, the collector would have one or maybe more of a SUPER item that has really killer buffs BUT it requires two tokens instead of one. This creates a real sense of sacrafice for the players as you cant just grind and farm to get all the items.

Now the reason I went with /play time is because it has its own very important function. This encourages players to actually log into MxO. Now you might say "yea but all the gotta to is go afk with an emote or something" while thats true, at least they are logging in. You cant log in without a subscription, so this could intern bring more people into MxO instead of just canceling and then resubbing over and over.

Getting players to subscribe is the hardest part, getting them to log in is the next hardest part. This idea for veteran rewards, help increase the amount of players, and we all know, more players equals more fun, and more attention from SOE.

Looking great! I'm surprised at how excited I actually am about this game. The 1st was great, and you don't really realize how great it is until after you replay it a few times.

Cool new features include 60 player online multiplayer, and 8 player co-op!!! whoa, not to mention the increased graphic textures and lighting effect. Take a look.

Just got back from seeing it, and I'd give it a solid B rateing. Its not bad, if you are going to see it for a brutal movie, then your going to get exactly what you came for. Theres really not that much action, and its not very long, 1 1/2 hours. But the action you get is both intense and brutal as hell. This movie is not in the least bit cheesy, and there are parts that might actually make you look away from the screen.

I'd recommend it for anyone who is a fan of action, but definitely do NOT being your kids.

So I'm trying to get a free web page started for the company I work for. Its a small business and the goal is just to have something simple yet modern looking, where I can explain what it is we do and offer, list some contact info, directions and maybe a link to a picture gallery of previous work we've done in the past. Problem is, I've never built a website and dont even know where to start.

Can anyone here help me out or point me in the right direction?
