Well, I didn't think this would happen, but I am hanging up my guns in the Matrix Online. I've been in game since Launch day 3 and a half years ago, a veteran of Enumerator, and an on again/off again writer on the Next Renaissance boards. Although I haven't been ingame a lot due to personal and scholastic reasons, my account has always been active. And as Much as I want to stay, I think it's time to span out a little bit more. Before I leave, there are several people I wanted to thank here. The first is the Network Imperium. You are by far the sickest, craziest, and mentally deranged group of players in the game. Thank you for accepting me and having me in your faction for 3 years. A couple of shout outs to some of the players who made an impact on my experiences Synapze- for being the cleverest one in the room PBlade- you may not read this, but you were the best of us SKOALMINT- you were what you were, and made no apologies and little fuss Oranos- You were responcible for some of the strongest factions in this game, and that takes alot. Bayamos- Although we didn't talk much, I do have alot of respect for you Gretyl of HanzylandGretyl- Good RP, and that in Vector is compliment enough The members of the Jokerz- you guys were and are something else. Sharred- I wish you were here to say something snarky Finally, I want to thank Rarebit and Walrus: You two seem to be the only ones in the big office who really care about this game and are doing something about it. You have my respect, sirs. There are others that I've definitely forgotten, and I apologize, it's nothing personal, I'm just a space case. /formal bow MxO

I figured, since we have all of these new Liaisons running about now, we should probably get a little introduction beyond the "Hey, I'm a liaison". So for all the new liaisons and even some of the veteran liaisons (Yes Systematica, even you), introduce yourselves and give us your stance and beliefs, or to just discuss. Hell, I can stand to hear some ideas. I (and the community) look forward to hearing from you. SG

Hello folks, I'm here today to tell you about this new petition to make Uwe Boll, director of such cinematic gems as BloodRayne, BloodRayne 2, Alone in the Dark and In the Name of the King, retire from directing. Dr. Boll, ever the man to take up a challenge, and a director willing to box out as many geeky reviewers to make himself feel like a big shot director, has agreed that he will retire if, and only if. The petition has 1 million signatures. Hell, that's reason enough right there. So if you want this hack forever banished from film making, or if you just want to see if he'll actually go through with it, then add your name to this petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_...ed.cgi?RRH53888

Date: 09/20 Time: 6pm Megacity Standard
Hamman> This council will now convene to hear the charges against the Zion Faction Network Imperium by Commander Jason Lock of Zion Command.
West> Controller Tyndall, you have been brough forth here today to give your eyewitness accounts of the event which occurred on 09/14 of this year. When, reportedly, Commander Lock received grievous mental harm from the Network Imperium.
Tyndall> Yes sir, it all began when Commander Rhyse of the NI handed in his resignation as leader of his faction.
West> What would you say was the Commander's reaction to this news, Controller?
Tyndall> Well...
Hamman> You can be completely frank here with us, Tyndall...
Tyndall> Well, to be honest, the Commander seemed overjoyed. It's no secret of NI's borderline renegade tactics. They are, either through one of it's members or the faction in total, responcible for breaking nearly every law in Zion. The Commander felt that with Rhyse's resignation, the NI would fold and he'd be able to reign in any of the rebellious elements within. He seemed especially happy when Rhyse called via vid-link to resign formally as head of the NI. But that's when things went bad...
Hamman> How so, Controller?
Tyndall> Rhyse announced his replacement as head of the Network Imperium.
West> And for the record, who is his replacement?
Tyndall> ....
Hamman> Answer the question, Controller Tyndall...
Tyndall> JetBlack, formerly of the HvCft Genesis...
Hamman> A Machine Captain...
Tyndall> Yes sir, a Runner Sentinel converted by a Zion Outpost on the surface of the Real some time ago.
Hamman> Controller, we are going to play the recording of the vid-link conversation between Commander Lock and the Imperium. If possible, can you answer any questions we may have about its contents?
Tyndall> Yes sir.
## Accessing File... ##Loading....
<Gravelly Voice> Absolutely out of the question!
<Cockney Accent> You didn't have a problem with it when I made him a captain, Lock!
Lock> Goddamn it, Rhyse, look at It! How many of it's kind have chased us through the tunnels, chased you through the tunnels. How many
<Cold, Metallic Voice> Seven Hundred Thousand, Five Hundred and Eight...
##Pause
Hamman> That would be captain JetBlack?
Tyndall> Yes sir. Reports have it that some of his...it's systems are integrated into his own ship.
##Play
Lock> ...Regardless. There is no possible way for a...Machine to be a leader of a faction!
Rhyse> There's no law against it!
Lock> <sotto voce> There should be...
Rhyse> What was that? Didn't quite catch that one!
Lock> Watch your mouth, Commander Rhyse, I can still hold you in the Brig.
JetBlack> there is no known law that Commander Rhyse has broken, or myself...
Lock> How many humans have you killed, Machine? How many lives destroyed because of you?
<Sharp, Tenor voice> That's enough, DeadBolt!
## Pause
West> For the Record, who is this?
Tyndall> Captain ShadowGriever of the Arbiter, Intelligence Officer...and current Second in Command of the NI under JetBlack.
Hamman> Lock and Griever have a history together, don't they?
Tyndall> Yes sir, captain Griever posted an article in the Cerberus. Entitled "Commander Lock or Captain Queeg, who is better?"
West> I liked that one...
Hamman> -Clears Throat- We have records of several charges filed by the Commander towards captain ShadowGriever.
Tyndall> ShadowGriever's captaincy has been widely disputed due to his mental health after his flawed self-removal from the Matrix.
##Play
Lock> What's HE doing here?
Rhyse> Oh, right, SG's JetBlack's 2nd...-Cough-
Lock> ....I beg your pardon...?
Griever> -chuckling- You heard right, Lock. We're back, we're bad, He's Black, I'm Mad.
Lock>.... JetBlack> Fascinating, the vein on his forehead has increased exponentially in size...-chuckles- I guess there go the strawberries...
ShadowGriever> -Laughs-
Rhyse> Well, anywho, that's my final decision, you can bring it up with the Council if you want.
ShadowGriever> How are the odds of them turning us down?
JetBlack> Strongly in our favor...
ShadowGriever> I like this job already! Lock>.....
Rhyse> Well, that's all from us. This is the Network Imperium, signing out...
ShadowGriever> See you at the Officers Ball, Chief!
##Stop
Tyndall> At this point, Commander Lock began to get dizzy, and fainted shortly after. He was put on a weeks medical leave, I acted as Interim Commander during that time.
Hamman> Thank you Controller. From the evidence and from your account we find Network Imperium clear of all charges.
Tyndall> But...But sir...
West> We also, after careful deliberation, accept Captain JetBlack as the new Commander of the Imperium and Captain ShadowGriever as his 2nd in Command. They have both proven themselves able and loyal members of Zion. We find no reason that they are to be barred from thier respective positions...
Tyndall> But...
Hamman> Thank you very much, Controller Tyndall. You are dismissed...

Hey guys, I'm asking you guys for a personal favor. I've had my sig now for over a year, and although I love Temsik's work, I think it's time for a new one. I've gone over all of my pictures and I've found one that I really liked http://a299.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/102/l_3b440d7f962f891390b6d93dc44c6462.jpg You guys can do whatever you want to it. Use any effect, style or device you feel fit. Consider it a test of your abilities. I just have one thing: I want the theme to be "May there be mercy on man and machine for their sins." thanks, and take care

## Incoming Open Broadcast-All Channels ## Broadcast Verified as HvCft Arbiter.....Captain: ShadowGriever....Faction: Network Imperium On August 12th, 1999 (using the Calender System of the Matrix), the Truce that was bought for us by Neo, was dissolved. Almost immediately there have been shouts of approval and of name callings and hindsight predictions. It's gotten pretty ugly, pretty quickly. I've been sitting here at my console, my ship attached to some rock in some maintenance tunnel like a strung out gecko. I've got the crew doing shifts at the guns, and my second mate's jury rigged a dead man's switch to the EMP. With all this going on, I've been wondering exactly how the Hell we managed to get in this spot. I know what's going to be the first thing said: Zion started it, and it'll most likely be said by one of the more...aspiring members of the Machine faction. To be quite honest, it's not entirely true. It'd be pointless to start saying "he started it" because then we'd be at it for ages. No, we've done too many things to each other to just pin the blame. The Truce Let's start off with the Truce itself. It was set by Neo and the Machines. Neo, despite being the One and being the salvation of mankind, was still one man. The terms he set were for, what he felt, was best for Humanity. However, the terms he agreed to did not reflect the best interests of Zion. There are many who believe that Zion won the war. This is not true. The war was not won, it was stopped, mid battle. This has left a sour taste in some of the higher ups of the two Organizations. This is the kickoff of The General's exile and incidental attempted takeover/ruination of the Matrix. I'm also fairly aware that many in Zion, those who were there at the War, felt less than satisfied with the Outcome. So, even at the beginning, there is already a sense of "unfinished business" between elements of the two powers. Then there is the Truce itself. Actually, "Truce" would not be a correct term. It's technically a "Non-Aggression Pact". We don't break the terms, the Machines do not show Sentinels down our throats. The Truce has always been lopsided, and somewhat favored towards the Machines. This has also left a sour taste in some mouths. Extreme Days Now, with every major conflict, there are always several extremist standpoints. In this situation, we have The Cypherites, humans who favor the Machine/Reinsertion plan, and the E Pluribus Neo, who favor the Zion/Liberation plan. Both of these factions have very simple, very well intended mission statements. However, both have gone about it in a very...deconstructive way. - Cypherites The Cypherites, led by Cryptos, are a human Organization that's main goal was, originally believed to be, the reinsertion of redpills into the Matrix and the prevention of liberation from the simulation. The reason I say "Originally believed to be", is because due to the erratic nature of several of it's higher ups (Ie; Veil), the Cypherites seem more focused on revenge against the redpills in Zion than on the bluepills in the Matrix. They are responcible for the deaths of countless redpills, and the attempted deaths of many others. At first, the Machines did not make any move to acknowledge the Cypherites. But slowly they linked themselves to their members, using the protection of the bluepills/simulation as a common thread. Then, after Seraphs attack on Cryptos, it was revealed that he (Cryptos) had been taken over by a Machine Program. In essence, the Machines manufactured the Cypherites. Then, to enhance the situation, it was revealed that the method of reinsertion, to which many of the Cypherites (including Cryptos) had seen as a goal, was a lie. There was no method of reinserting redpills to the Matrix. I do not know what drives them now, are they guided by their hatred of Zion, or by their want to protect the bluepills still inside the system? -EPN E Pluribus Neo, a group guided by what they to believe to be Neo's will. They are aggresive in their goal of liberating humans from the matrix, and have been known to attack the Machines. For the most part, I have not seen their violent streak personally. I have however seen their eagerness for it at the forefront of this war. I do not frighten easily (or at least do not show it well) but the sheer ease that some of them went into discussing acts that could potentially cost lives, human or otherwise. I sit here and ask myself "Is this what Neo would truly have wanted?" Straws and Camels Well, I guess we should discuss the impetus of this soon-to-be bloody War. The building of New Zion. According to the Truce, Zion should not be/ is not allowed to expand further. As I am not aware of the exact terms of the Truce, I am not sure how or why this would be conciderd an infarction on Machine security. If it is, then it may have been best mentioned through proper channels and discussed or some other action that would have given leniency. If it isn't, then this is, as many in Zion have said, merely an excuse for the Machines to come down on Zion because they feel they are "losing control" To be completely honest, the Machines are not blameless in increasing tensions as it is. As I mentioned earlier, they are (in)directly responcible for the creation of the Cypherites, and they also set out to take control of the mind of several members of Zion. They have violated free human minds, and no explanation has been given. Where do we go from here? You know, sitting here, I'd like to tell you I think we should all go back to the way things were, but I can't lie to you. We can't go back, if we are to guarantee any form of peace, we cannot go back to what we were doing. And there is far too much Bad Blood between our two sides that the only way to see this through is to let out the aggression, to, if you'll pardon the Godfather reference, go to the mattresses. It is my firm belief, and I speak for myself, not my faction, that all life is sacred, human, machine and exile. I believe the only way we can achieve any peace is through the Matrix. I have no suggestions for this, for the future is far too dark for me, all I can do is pray that some resolution is found, and fight to survive. May God Protect You In All The Empty Places You Go... ##End Transmission....

##Enter Username and Password... ##Username: ******* ##Password:***** >Sigh...there are somedays when I don't know why I keep doing this. As I may have mentioned a while ago, I stopped writing when I left the matrix. I really haven't been in the mood to do it, what with the mass murdering Fly Creatures, Sociopathic Fringe Organization leaders, A pain-in-the-balls Commander, and the death of few good friends... >...Christ, I just depressed myself... > Anywho, I started writing again, sent my short story to a bluepill publisher, even went so far as to using my old name (and starting the rumors that I had faked my death...thanks Soluma for the idea ) . The thing is, they rejected it. They said it was "Unrealistic"...HA! They wouldn't know Real if Ookami did a strip tease in the middle of Tabor Park with the Effectuator (and several of his copies) doing a rendition of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida! >.... >....sorry, I just had that image flash before my eyes...So Anywho, I wanted to get your opinion on it. It's a fantasy story. >J.Ixios has sent you an attachment...upload (Y/N?) Y >Uploading Files%....Completed/ Lady of the Shadows By Jason Ixios I guess it goes without saying that my life is...complicated, the people involved in my life are complicated; their lives are complicated as well. I was sitting in my dorm room on this snowy little Sunday in late March, reading the books my parents had sent me for my birthday. Well, I was reading one of them. My parents had sent me two books for my birthday. The one from my mom was a book on dream interpretations; the one from my dad was a book of magical arrays and seals. I know that sounds like odd books for parents to give their children, regardless of their interests. But when you're a family of Alts... Lemme start off, and make something clear: Alts are human beings, I can't stress that point enough. We're human beings. Alts have been around since the dawn of Man, and you've heard of us through one form or another. If you've ever heard anything about Wizards, Witches, Shamans, Oracles, Giants, Trolls, Werewolves, Pixies and God-Knows-How-Many-Other legends and stories since legends have existed, you've heard about us. It's complicated... I was reading the text on arrays, circles and designs meant to evoke energies and magic and use them according to how the design was meant. My father was a bit obsessed with designing them. He would send me whatever designs he came up with, and often several modifications. Sometimes they worked, other times I had to go to the cleaners to get the smoke and God-Knows-What out of my clothes. At least this book had tried and true seals and arrays ranging from binding seals to pacification arrays. The one array that had taken up a good portion of the book was something simply called Domination. It was a broad circle with about six or seven circles inside of it. In between those circles were symbols and words that were some vague, obscure form of Latin. Underneath the Seal was a blurb Domination: A Blood Seal developed somewhere around the Dark Ages. It was supposedly used to bind members of Church to the Mages will. The Seal itself is not enough to use it; the Mage's blood must have a specific, genetic marker. Possibility of this marker is 1 in 1 Billion. I had to admit, it was a pretty impressive Seal. One of the known principles of Alts was that it was almost impossible to dominate the will of someone, magic or otherwise. They had to accept being dominated, putting up no resistance. They had to want it. And if I've learned anything from people, we have a natural tendency to resist what did not match their beliefs. This and the fact that only maybe 6 people in the world could use it reassured me that I would never see it in use. The text then went on to discuss the moral and philosophical implications of such a Seal, and the need for it. One section talked about it being the work of evil forces in the Alt-Mage community, and that their use of the Seal justified the actions of the Church during the Dark Ages and its Inquisition. Another side considered it a possibility that the Seal was a result of the witch hunts and not vice versa. I had to admit, it was cutting it pretty close. As a general rule, Alts keep their natural abilities below the radar from the rest of the world. It all went back to that resistance thing, people resist what they don't want to do, or can't understand. There are a good number of us who feel that the Dark Ages never really ended. People still lived in fear of attacking hordes, plague, and anything that may endanger their way of life. The only difference between then and now is that instead of horses and a town crier its motorbikes and the World Wide Web. That's when my cell phone started going off. Call it a hunch, but when the phone goes off at 9 A.M on a Sunday, nothing good can possibly happen. I picked up the phone and looked at the call waiting. The name, DWIGHT appeared in big bold letters. I hate it when my hunches are right... I pressed the answer button, "Hey Dwight...what's wrong?" "How did you know something was wrong?" he replied, his voice a little chipper than most campus security guards "Call it a hunch, give me the details..." Dwight filled me in. I have something of a relationship with campus security. Because of my hobbies, they call on me if anything weird happens. Say, if the soda drafts in the cafeteria start pouring blood, or if the gym's pool starts boiling over, or a Townhouse filled with partying guys and girls passes out simultaneously right on the spot. I'm kinda like their version of Harry Dresden.... 'cept he got paid eventually... I was out of my room and towards the student union, where Dwight said he would wait. I slipped on my large white leather trench coat over a blue t-shirt. It managed to cover most of the baggy, faded green cargo pants I wore. With the trench coat and my pale skin, the only thing that could be seen in contrast to the sheets of snow falling was my pants and my hair. Before I even got up the hill towards the student union, I could already smell it. It was sickly sweet, and fairly metallic, almost like sheer copper. It left a taste in my mouth that made me think I had a spoonful of pennies in my mouth. Despite the fact that Dwight told me to expect it, the smell of the blood only made me move more quickly. The walk between my dormitory and the Student Union wasn't long, but with several inches of snow on the ground, it was a tough walk, even with my boots on. Dwight was already on top of the hill along with several other security guards. He greeted me with a cheery smile, which his high cheekbones only emphasized more than he should have. He looked at me cheerily, but the circles under his eyes told me that he was exhausted. That was an understatement, the bags under his eyes each could hold a months worth of groceries. These security guys really did have it hard. Most of them give a *CENSORED* about these kids, want to see us get out of here and make something with our lives, all they tend to see is us at our worst. What was on the floor probably could be considered for these guys a matinee. On the ground between the steps of the Student Union and the Cafeteria was a puddle of blood the size of a small SUV. What was odd was that the puddle was in a perfect circle, and what was worse, not a single flake of snow was touching it. The several inches of snow made it look like it was a descended pool of blood. Any snow that fell down on it melted before it could touch it. A Blood Circle, fantastic... I explained to Dwight what a Blood Circle was. Where most Mages use staffs, wands, crystals, etcetera as a focal point for magic, some used blood. Those that specialized in Blood Magic were known colloquially as Crimson Mages, or Crims for short. This array had to have been set up by a Crimson Mage, which is interesting in of itself, because I'm the only Crim I know around here. Hell, I was the only Alt around here. I didn't add that part in to my description to Dwight, mostly because he didn't know about Alts, or that I was one of them, or that I was called Griever in the Alt community. And also because if I did, I would most likely be suspect number one. I walked towards the circle and knelt down before it, the snow soaking through the thick fabric of my cargo pants and biting my legs with a numbing cold. I ignored it for the most part, and tried to focus down on the crimson red pool in front of me. I slipped a small silver knife out of my lower sleeve, which made several of the guards put their hands on their guns. "Easy," I said, with a touch of command in my voice, but not too much as to get me shot for being an *CENSORED*. I took the tip of the knife against my left index finger and applied pressure, not a lot of pressure, but just enough to get a few small drops of my own blood. I concentrated on the small drops, focusing my will and emotion, and using some of the frozen pain in my legs. The drops made ripples along the surface of the red pool. "Reveal..." I whispered. Then something happened, the ripples changed course. Instead of going outwards, they move inwards. The pool started to grow smaller, if...can something grow smaller? Anyway, the pool stopped shrinking; all that was left were several small droplets, and small writing on the stones. I moved in closer stepping onto the hard stone floor. It was different than walking in snow; it took me a few steps to adjust. What I saw on the floor, the word on the street, made everything clear. This wasn't some Magic Circle made by some Crim. Only a few drops were made, and then some spell made it grow so someone would notice, and they would in turn call the only person on campus who could know anything about it. It was a message, a message directed towards me, and it was written in large enough letters: TRAITOR!!

I was wondering what the protocol is for the Next Renaissance threads in regards to posting non-MxO related materials. I have a few short stories that I'd like to share that aren't related to MxO, but I wanted to get the opinions of the RP community here as they are some of the best writers I've met. If it's a problem, I guess I could just say my bluepill character wrote it and treat it like one of his articles. I hope to get some insight on this problem, Thanks in advance, SG

I was walking around the city a few days ago (one of the little pasttimes that carried with me after I was no longer a Blue) and I started to wonder about something. You walk around this city, and you see so many different people with all of these different names. Now, Names are important. To name is to know. What's interesting is that many of our Redpill names are chosen by us. What I'd like to know is, what is the meaning behind your name? What is the origin of it, and why did you pick it? Is it a symbol? A nickname? was it an alias you just decided to take upon yourself. or does it mean nothing? "It's just a name, don't fuss over it" as Bruce Lee once said? I'll start. My blue pill name is...was Jason Ixios. I was a writer, had a lot of contacts in the gangs. I...umm...had an incident...I fell off of a roof. After that I woke up in my pod, feeling like all kinds of hell. Now I know this sounds familiar, The Kid went through a similar type of thing. But where his experience was all for the best, mine...well...let's just say a part of me didn't make the cross over to The Real. So to me, Jason Ixios, the person I was, is dead. All I am is a Shadow on his grave, the only one who Grieves for him. I look forward to the responces SG

Hey gang, I got a personal one for ya. I'm trying to come up with a monogram for my stuff and I wanted to make it stylish. Now, personally, I suck with graphics on a biblical level. So here I am coming to you guys, who I acknowledge to be some of the best designers I've met (I've met a few) So I'm asking as a favor for someone to make this monogram for me. My initials are CP, and I wanted it to be something like yin and yang. Here's a picture to give you an idea Can you see the C and the P in it? That's what I want. However, I can't use the symbol as it's from a video game and undoubtedly liscensed by Square, and the last thing I need is those guys on my *CENSORED*. So if anyone can help me, I will be eternally grateful. Thanks

While reading the Live Events board, especially concerning the Nabonidus (no spoilers here), I was confronted with a question that has been haunting me. Do we really want Neo alive? Let me break this down: Neo was a hero because he fought against the Machines, but more importantly, against Smith. He was a hero because there was something out there that he and he alone was capable of defeating. lets look at what's happened since then, we have taken on the LED Agents, The Assassin, The Sleepwalkers, Unlimit and God knows what else, without him. We were able to contain them (some more than others) without Neo. Neo wasn't needed, his (and I hate how machine this sounds nowadays) purpose has been fulfilled. So here is the question I want to ask: If Neo returns, it has to be because he is needed, because there is something out there that requires him to be there. We barely survived the fights above, some of them by the skim of our teeth. If Neo returns, will we be able to survive what comes with him?

This post is to thank the devs for finally implementing the pascification zones. This is something that a large group of people from the vector servers (since Enumerator at least) have been asking for since the beginning. Many people took it as a plea to remove pvp from the hostile servers, but as the evidence seems to show it has had little to no change in the overall play of the hostile servers. I wanted to know what role they will play in the future, if it proves to be overall succesful. Also, what do the players think of the pascification zones?

hey guys, I'm taking a break from MxO for a bit, mostly because my College's network is slower than Paris Hilton on an Algebra test, but I digress. Can I cancel my subscription to MxO and keep my character when I sign back up? Because I'm not going to pay for a game I can't play.

I've been on since launch day, March 25th 2005. I spent a grand total of 37 days online, and I'd just like to say... I QUIT!! ha ha, just kidding. However, I am getting ready to go to school this weekend, meaning I won't be on until Thanksgiving again.

This survey is to scope opinions for the main characters who inhabit The MegaCity. These Characters will be categorized by Org and sub section. Since my last survey was on Neo, I'll forgo using him, but don't let that stop you either.
Humans
Zion
Zion Command
Commander Lock: Hardass, Shortsighted, faithless, **bleep**...terrible singer too
Tyndall: A good example of Zion Command, better than most of the others who have worked/ are working there (see Anome). Would love to have seen her in action as a soldier
Denizens of Zion
Morpheus: Brilliant Leader and Organizer, but became unstable once he lost his core faith in the One. I don't know if he's alive or not. I don't know it's scarier knowing he's dead, or knowing he's still around.
Trinity: Made the whole thing possible for Neo, She was to key to him realizing he was the One and making the choice that ended the Cycle or the Systemic Anamoly
The Kid: Says what it does on the bottle, doesn't it? He's a kid, he's greener than the Matrix Code. I think EPN is using him as a Figure Head
Shimada: The Brains behind EPN, and I think the real leader. Note: She's one of the only ones that doesn't wear any resembling Neo or Trinity
Niobe: Finally, a **bleep**ing sane person in this City! She saw Neo for what he was, not as The One, but simply as Neo. She was able to go further than Morpheus was ever able to. If she can be rescued, she will be one of the few that can carry this whole thing forward
Renegade
Anome: **bleep** Controller, **bleep** soldier, **bleep** catcher (lose any keys?). I'll send flowers to your funeral when they finally catch you, you little **bleep**
Cypherite
Cryptos: I think he's in it more for the power than for people. My evidence is his latest stunt making everyone look like him
Veil: If Toorima thinks going back in the pod and wiping her memory will wipe away all that blood, including Vashuo's, off her hands then she's sorely mistaken
Machines
Mother and Father
The Oracle: Probably the only real neutral party in the whole city.
The Architect: My head hurts after basic Trigonometry, being with him puts me at a **bleep**ing meltdown. Since he created the Matrix, I doubt he'll do anything to threaten it
Agents
Pace: Interesting that she is a female in an all male organization. I wonder what the other Agents think of her.
Gray: Should be monitored, he's slipped into Smith-esque attitudes before and could again. Personality is Drier than Ashy Larry
Exiles:
Merovingian
The Merovingian: A necessary control for the surge of exiles, too full of himself to be a truly effective leader
Persephone: Can take over Merv's empire if wanted to, but somewhere still loves him
Flood: Merv Light
Malphas: Somewhere, Bela Lugosi is doing a triple axel in his grave
Ookami: It's Bob Barker time, **bleep**
Others
Seraph: There's more to him than I think we'll ever know.
Sati: There's more to her that I think we'll all find out real soon
Trainman: Two Words: Brush Your TEETH!!!

We all know that this world is split in three: Zion, Exile and Machine. We all have chosen our sides and we all have our different reasons. I would like to know your specific personal reasons for your faction and your personal beliefs on several things that are central to our community.
Afiliation: What organization you are in, if you are Cyph or EPN please state that as a secondary
Political Preference: Whether you are at the liberal or conservative side of your organizations politics. You may be specific
Use mine as an example:
Handle: ShadowGriever
Affiliation: Zion
-Secondary Affilation: N/A
Political Preference: Neutral/Moderate
Belief in Neo: Does not see him as a god or messiah, but as a human who could do something we could not
On The Question of Freeing Minds: I believe that those that wish to be freed should be freed, those that wish to be put back, should be put back, no questions asked. The whole Cypherite/EPN fighting is asinine
On the Matrix: The Matrix has become the bridge for our three species (Human, Exile and Machine), and therefore has become a necessary function of our living
Please fill this out and be free to add any thing I might have missed and I will fill out what you add too

I was wondering if we could get a bit of backstory on the location of the organization Redpills. By this I mean, where/how are they jacking into the Matrix?
We all know Zions Methods: Hoverbarge/ship or base located at broadcast depth. But I'm curious to know how the Machines and Merovingian operatives have access. Are the Machine operatives put back in the pods but maintain their redpill status? How do the Merovingian operatives jack in since they are technically rogues on both sides of the system?
I just think a little more backstory on these would help out alot

If the foot should say: Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body: Is it therefore not of the Body? And if the ear should say: Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body: Is it therefore not of the body?
If the whole body were the eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? And if they all were one member, where would be the body? But now there are many members indeed, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand: I need not thy help. Nor again the head to the feet: I have no need of you
Yea, much, more those that seem to be the more feeble members of the body are more necessary
And such as we think to be the less honourable members of the body, about these we put more abundant honour: and those that are our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
But our comely parts have no need: but the body is tempered together, giving to that which wanted the more abundant honour.
That there might be no schism in the body: but the members might be mutually careful one for another
If one member glory, all the members rejoice with it.
And if one member suffer any thing, all members suffer with it
I leave it to you all to decide what to do with these words of hope until then...

I was just wondering if it's ever been considered to have LET members of the mission contacts used to promote the storyline?
I think it would be interesting to see Yttri dancing in Plyvinyl, have Silver analyze us all and call us meatbags. I think seeing a spectrum family get-together (or gun fight, which ever comes first) would be a blast to see.
I also think that there are several mission contacts who could be highly instrumental in the grand storyline. The Chessman is a psudo Oracle who can give out clues and advice
Mr. Po is the one who introduced us to the idea that a person can be reinserted well before Cryptos and Veil/Toorima ever appeared.
I think there is a great deal of potential to see these characters come to life and be fleshed out for us.

Has anyone else notice a sudden plummet in gaming activity? In vector, some of the major members of the community have started to leave either by choice or by force due to CSR suspensions. I wanted to know if this has been going on in the other servers, and do you think this game is facing a major downward spiral?

Greetings, as you are probably aware, I am an operative of Zion, a self substantiate who went by the name of Jason Ixios while still in the Matrix. I know that this adversarial relationship we have between one another may make this difficult for both of us so let's just get right to it. As I stated before, I am an operative of Zion, but I subscribe to a more neutral philosophy than some of my fellow redpills. I believe all sentient beings, Human, machine and Exile, have a right to live an co-exist. I believe in maintaining a balance. As of late I have been having disturbing feelings towards the future of our detente. This disturbance has a name: The General. I know for a fact that he is responcible for the Red Eye and N30 Agent incidents last year, I also believe (I have no physical proof to it though) that he may have been the one to give the Assassin the killcode bullets that ended the life of Morpheus. I believe he is a threat to the Matrix and all those who live there. Therefore, I humbly ask if we be allowed disclosure on The General. We need to know what his function and purpose was before the end of the war and any other information that may tell us what he wants. I know this is alot to ask. I know you may completely disregard this message entirely because I am from Zion, I could understand the logic in that, but I believe firmly that if The General continues to go unchecked then everything that we three organizations have struggled so hard to maintain will come crashing down before us all. I thank you for your time, Jason Ixios ShadowGriever

Three months ago… Three months ago I was the engineer of The Arbiter, under the Network Imperium, a Zionist Faction that has a penchant for recruiting people that Zion would rather launch into the sky. Three months ago I was happy…as happy as I could get. Then one night it all changed…now look at me, sitting here, to some I’m a freak, to others I’m a monster, to some I’m even seen as The One. Whatever I am, I’m here, all alone, facing that rat **bleep** dead in his eye. -ShadowGriever, memoirs
Segment 1: The Devil You Know
It was nine already, it was beginning to rain. Not even that cool rain, the humid muggy kind which would make even the calmest man uneasy. That doesn’t help things, especially when all the people in the room are already uneasy to start off with. There they were, representatives of the three organizations to discuss the new threat in the Matrix, the Cardinal. Representing the machines in this were Aggie and Oranos, Guardians of the 7th Gate. Also representing the machines were quite arguably the g7g’s mirror opposite, the Jokerz, their members were Nemesis and Toxic, quite possibly two of the more aggressive of the Dark Carnival. Also there were the representatives of the Merovingian, highly stylish, and highly mysterious. Xeros and Q, representing Les Enfants Terribles and Ingus with DrSmith, representing the Dark Mavericks. Many people in the room had a hard time dealing with anyone named SMITH in the same room. Finally, the Zionist delegation, the members were Shadowkilla, leader of the Digital Remnant, also from the DR was Statik. Rounding out the group was Rhyse and Pyxel, Leader and Second in Command of the Network Imperium.
“It’s God’s cruel joke you are the ones who started this meeting.” Aggie said, directing it to Rhyse. Q responded, “I didn’t know the machines believed in God, I thought they followed the teachings of the Almighty Microwave.” Nemesis was already on his feet. “At least I don’t answer to a **bleep** petty thief.” The Mervs and the machines were already on their feet an in each other’s faces. “Toaster oven!” “French Fry!” The two Zionist factions, tempted to just sit and watch, knew that this meeting needed to happen. But the moment they got in they were got attacked by an array of epithets themselves. “Try it, Cave monkey.” Said one of the Mervs. Before it came to blows a clap of thunder silenced everyone, the lights flickered on and off for several seconds. When the lights came back on full they saw him. His spikey white hair was matted down from the rain, the streaks of water coming off his Plum Tam Duster. Everyone stared at him silently, knowing that behind his purple shades were a pair of equally purple eyes staring right back at them. Although they may think differently about him, they know better than to make a move. “Sit…down!” Without a word they all move back to their seats. The Zionists take their seats as well, looking at him too. They knew by looking at him that they were not dealing with their friend “Shadow” Griever, but the program inside his mind. The Nephillim. They all stare at him attentively, not sure what he would do. For some in the machine faction he was seen as an anomaly, a mutation teetering on the edge of being scheduled for deletion. The Merovingian saw him as a new kind of Exile, but bad for business. The Zionists saw him as the possible return of The One, which made Griever mad.
His face lightened up, Rhyse and Pyx could tell it was Griever standing there now. He made a gesture to Rhyse to continue and stepped into the corner. Rhyse cleared his throat and began. “Well…now that that’s settled. We have all agreed to come here to discuss one thing…The Cardinal.” Another clap of lightning put an exclamation point to the name. “As many of you have noticed.” Shadowkilla continued. “Many of the Cardinal’s followers have been sprouting up, preaching his word for “The Perfect World” for those who want it. Now, from what Griever tells us this means The Cardinal wants to return this Matrix, which for arguments sake will be dubbed “ version 3.7” back to Version 1.0” “The paradise model.” Remarked Oranos. Rhyse jumps back in “All the while killing everyone he deems abhorrent. This means The Humans, who are physically abhorrent, the machines, who are aesthetically abhorrent, and the Exiles, who are morelly abhorrent.” Q asked “So in other words…” “…We’re all **bleep**ed.” Finished Aggie. “Exactly.” Finished Rhyse. Xeros raised his hand. “do we know where The Cardinal is based?” Pyxel responded. “All we know is that his operations are spearheaded by a group of seven known only as “The Sins”. Even less is known about them. From what Griever tells us there are seven of them, and that they correspond with the seven sins. Greed, Lust, Sloth, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, and Pride.”
Nemesis finally spoke up. “And we know nothing about them?” “Only that Death follows them.” Said Statik for the first time. Aggie sat up.“So what do you want us to do?” Rhyse answered “Pool our resources, we need to focus on stopping the Cardinal and his people.” Ingus finally said something. “Tell Ingus…” it took everyone in the room a moment to realize he was actually referring to himself. “Is there anything that can stop him?” Without another word the entire room stared at it’s silent participant. Griever look back, his eyes still blocked by his shades. “Me.” Pyxel stood up. “We figure the best way to find the Cardinal is through the sins.” Another clap of thunder crashed through. “And how do you suppose we go about that?” “Well, we have a plan set up to catch one…” Before he could finish, Griever began to move. “I think they’ve found us!” Outside the wall length window, a large black image appeared, hovering in the rain. “RUN!” Before any of them could do anything the Helicopter fired. All of the people inside the room tried to find cover. As seasoned veterans they all knew that 13 unarmed men in a small conference room couldn’t take on an Apache helicopter. By all accounts they should have their fair share of holes in them. Then they looked up and saw what was protecting them. Griever, emitting a faded purple aura, shielded the room from the bullets. The gun turret stopped spewing out it’s contents for a brief second, the pilot considering his options. “Don’t be a fool, man. Give up.” Murmered Pyxel, peering over the upturned conference table.
Apparantly the pilot thought otherwise and began firing again, the bullets rippling off the shield like rain on a violet tinted puddle. The fear inside the office grew as the rocket launcher ignites. When the missle connected with the shield it sent Griever back towards the table, but he still maintained his focus on the shield. “Play times over.” He began to will the shield more towards the copter, fighting against the bullets. Finally he sent the shielf out like a wave, striking the helicopter. The sparks from the Apache became immediately visible. It started to swerve away, but not before firing another missile. The angle of this one was erratic, it was not possible for Grieve to shield them all…
As the rocket incinerated their virtual bodies, their minds auto-jacked out of the Matrix and back into their bodies on their Hoverships. “God **bleep**ing damnit!” Shouted Pyxel as Etheno unplugged him. “I can’t believe they knew where we were!”.” Rhyse was already out of his chair and at the monitors. “Well, I just received word from the other captains, they all got back to their ships safely.” “I guess that ends the peace talks?” asked Etheno. “Actually, Aggie and Nemesis both want to talk further.” “What about the Merv?” “Guys!” Pyxel’s scream for attention directed them towards Griever, who began coughing violently. Pyxel was trying to calm him down. “It’s ok, man, come on. Breath.” Slowly his breathing became normal. He slowly wiped away a streak of blood from his mouth. He calmly focused his purple-in-purple eyes at them. “Sorry about that back there.” Rhyse put his hand on Griever’s shoulder. “You did fine. The machines were impressed, they wanna meet.” He helpef Grieve up to his feet. “You gonna be okay?” asked Etheno. “I will be, we still on with the plan?” “SK’s already given the ok.” Griever nodded and slowly walked off of the deck and towards his room on the Arbiter.
Etheno went back to the control panel, monitoring the flow of the matrix, while Pyx and Rhyse went into the cockpit of the Imperium, the Network Imperium’s lead ship, able to carry all the other hovercraft. “He’s getting worse.” Stated Rhyse, referring to Grieve. “Yeah,” grunted Pyx “And what’s worse is I think he knows it. Ever since Mor…” “Don’t say his name Pyxel.” Rhyse groaned. “Well, it’s happened, no need to deny it. Mordain was taken over by The Cardinal, took his body and everything. We need to find a way to kill the Cardinal without killing Mord.” “Well first things first. We need to track down one of those little **bleep**s.” “Yeh, still don’t know how we’re gonna do it.” Rhyse sat up and switched on the controls, lifting the massive ship off the ground and through the tunnels of the Real. “Well, as Grieve said. ‘the sins are one dimensional, what gives them life can take it away as well. It can lead them to us like Moths to a flame.” “Do we know which moth we’re attracting.” “Greed.” Pyxel Groaned. “No wonder you didn’t tell me.” “why?” “We’re gonna have to shell out alotta $info for this.” Rhyse began to laugh. “Don’t worry, we’ll still have enough left over for you.”
