The green haze of code faded into the dull sunlight around Tabor West as she stepped out of the hardline, gazing quickly around to ensure no bluepill had seen.  Not like they would see anyway.  Most were so blind to the world around them. 

Its been so long…

She walked along the familiar streets a virtual stranger, now.  Each curve in the road, she knew by heart.  Each gray building, a silent sentinel guarding the sleepers within; simply going about their daily lives.   But the faces of the awakened… some were new.  A few remembered her.  A few had even remembered enough to not forgive her. 

She glided around the corner into the plaza of Tabor West, her dark skirts whispering past the sidewalk. 

Yes, this was where she was needed.  They would remember… she would make them remember.

Aiyalla frowned darkly, staring with uncharacteristic venom at the Agent standing before her.  His stoic nature doing nothing but sending waves of irritation coursing through her.

"Ms Anore, it is highly questionable that you continue your association with Mr. Maraffino.  He is, after all, an enemy to the Machine, and a threat to the security of the matrix."

Aiyalla clenched her fists, and forced her face into a pleasant smile.  It hurt. 

"I've already been over this at least fifty times with Grey, Agent Morris.... My contacts remain my contacts, no matter what cause they serve.  They are useful to me, and the information they provide me is invaluable.  Now... if you don't mind... I have a meeting to attend."

She smiled sweetly, and walked calmly outside the Tabor West building.  Aiyalla paused in the bright, simulated sunshine, and blinked rapidly.  Friendship.... just wasn't something the machines understood.  Tools, they did.  Sad fact of life, but that was the only way to communicate.  Telling and agent to leave your friend alone, was something akin to waving your arms at a brick wall.  Useless... demeaning.... and utterly, utterly stupid.

*Watches at the hijacked stream broadcasts across her moniter, code echoing in her golden eyes.  She murmurs softly, speaking to the unknowing figure on her screen*

My, my, my, Nicho.... we have been a busy boy, haven't we?  *she taps her fingers, lost in thought, against her chair, and deftly opens a single, coded channel to the Commission's lead ship.

"Luca, it's Aiya.  We need to speak.  Immediately."

I would love to speak with you as well, friend.  There are always open doors for good people.  *chuckles*  And for bad, as well...

Gone forever from her life.

Grief consumed her, as she wept shamelessly for her beloved brother.

Aw, yeah, that was fun.  Being able to "communicate from my ship" into the matrix while actually at work.  That was so nice.

 Would have helped a lot when I wasn't able to play during my divorce.  (yes, I'm STILL pissed he took the computer.  *CENSORED*))

I remember having the greatest parties in the Sphinx.  We'd all get raving drunk, and stay there for hours, just partying, listening to music, roleplaying... it was beautiful. 

Still wish I could find Jobi for a game of pool...

This was one of those random thoughts that Zampano and I were discussing earlier today ooc while running missions.  Thought I would throw it out to see what everyone else would want for their characters.

Imagine the Wachowski brothers decided to make another matrix movie, based upon the rp we've had this past year and a half.  If you could decide what actor/actress would play your character, who would it be?

For Aiyalla,  I would like to see Natalie Portman.  She's a good actress, about the same age as Aiya, and she has those beautiful eyes that could take on Aiyalla's golden glow.

My aunt traced our family back quite a long ways.  Can't remember the name of the Lord, but one of my Great (*insert several *great's here*) Uncles owned a castle in England, and was beheaded at the Tower of London for treason.

I like the idea of an ol' fashioned TMA reunion party.  Maybe club Sphinx as a gathering point?  Lots of good memories there. 

And yes, Espi.  you were hands down the best villian linenoise or syntax had ever seen.  Can't wait to see what the new Agenda has in store!  ))
