Bonehead question, but does anyone have a list of the names of Argon's goons that show up in one of the Pandora's Box missions?

Are you looking for a group of adventurous folk, looking to collect some of the rare codes that lie buried in the Matrix, guarded by aggressive Exiles? Are you daunted in trying to find a group to track them down and defeat them? Masonna, the huntress of the Familia, has a solution for you: The Suicide Club.

Regardless of your organization or affiliation, we look forward to having you join us, whether you're a Machinist protecting the stability of the System, a Merv putting the beat-down on Exiles trying to horn in on His Excellency's business or a Zionite looking for a good fight. All we ask is that you leave your political differences in the locked box at the door where we host our meetings and that you bring your weapons of choice and your sense of adventure.

Once a week, we will meet to discuss our next quarry. These meetings will take place every Friday night at 9 pm, EST/6 pm MCT, in the basement of the Fight Club in Manssen Park, right behind the Southeast hardline. Dates and times of our hunts will vary as they will be discussed during the meeting, but our huntress will keep you posted as to when the next hunt will be, and most likely, they will be daily occurances. Hunting parties will generally last for an hour or so, leaving you plenty of time to fulfill obligations to your organization or faction.

Dear Family,

How are you?  I am fine, for the most part.  The reason you haven't seen me in the Matrix for....I dunno how long....is because of this crappy economy.  I don't have a job, and it's hard to find one.  Trust me, it isn't from a lack of trying either.  Since I don't have that much of an income, a few things had to go, and unfortunately that meant MxO.  However, I am out there everyday job hunting, and I hope to return to the simulation soon enough.  Hell I may even start my own business *laughs*  Anyways, my cat and I are fine.  D0MR8 however isn't.  She's....been deleted....apparently the program that the machines put in me a long time ago took over and deleted her because she was an exile.

Don't worry (or do worry, however you see it, IC), I'm not leaving this place any time soon, but I *am* looking at a mini-event in November, a kind of Thanksgiving story, if you will (I know: "Thanksgiving in the Matrix-verse?! Inconceivable!"). This is a harbinger of things I've got cooking. :: Smirks mysteriously::

Say you want to muck around in the Matrix universe, but for whatever reason (RP, PvP, just want to farm things), you're not keen on the politicking that goes on among the three orgs-plus two sub-orgs. Wouldn't it be better if there was some org that would allow this, so that you can enjoy the game without getting involved in conflicts that you're not interested in? I know the Merv org technically is the neutral org, but there seem to be certain parties -- not mentioning any names, NPC or PC -- who want to do nothing but stir up trouble and cause unnecessary tension and/or drama. Maybe give the Archivists their own org?  Not sure how it would be pulled off, or how this would be possible given how the rep system was changed to prevent spur-of-the-moment org-jumping, but it's worth looking into.

Little bit of an explanation, and I hope to dispell some of the rumors:

Sieges is going through something similar to a mid-life crisis. She's gotten disillusioned with the Merovingian and his organization, but this doesn't mean I'll be having her defect any time soon. For one thing, I'm a bit ambivalent on org-switching, unless it's really well-considered on the part of both player and character. Grinding down rep is also a bit of non-incentive as well: I got 120 Merv rep to go through and since the character isn't in the best frame of mind at the moment, I don't want to make any emotionally-charged snap decisions I might later regrt. Personally, I'm fine with where she is and I the player have no complaints with the Merv or his organization: it's the character that has the beef with it. She's in an emotional black hole right now, and I'm working on something where she eventually comes out of it. Until then, she's not switching orgs or factions any time soon.

Heh-heh-heh. That's right. The Merv's own witch lady, the Black Magick Woman, the Marquise of Exilic Mortality, the Contessa of Code-Decay and her one-and-only fella, the hottest code on legs, the fella who's too sweet to eat are gettin' hitched. And yer all invited to attend the festivities. Formal attire required, preferrably in dark shades (red, purple, dark green, black), but not mandatory. This will be a hand-fasting according to the Old Ways, so please bring a length of red silk ribbon (ie. the token dropped by the Guillotines gang in Southard) to tie around the couple's clasped hands. Our only request is that ya don't disrupt the festivities or disrespect the guests or the couple.

We're currently lookin' for a DJ to spin some kickin' tunes at the party (metal, industrial, spooky movie soundtracks preferred, but I'm not picky), so if anyone would like the gig, give me a holler either in the simulation or on Xfire.

There's a few odd little effect codes I'd love to see made availible, perhaps as Archive Mission rewards, perhaps as consumables and good for RP use:

• The little whoompf-ing teleport effect that the Dire Lupines and the Hallowe'en zombies have when they spawn. Maybe have it useful only in Stealth mode so it doesn't get over-used.
  
• A similar version of the Effectuator's little pop-in glowy-thing when he pops into a mission area.
  
• A non-IS or health-draining version of the vampire/zombie bite move (useful at Hallowe'en, though I suppose one can always get infected by the zombies, but then don a Hallowe'n mask)

Can anyone think of a crit mission (now Archived) that features a room full of hostile Agents? I'm thinking of using one for a player event sometime soon...

"It's highly unusual for a program of her nature to be admitted to this facility," the Headmaster of L'Ecole de la Tour said, sitting back in his chair, gazing across his desk at the slight young woman sitting opposite him. "Are you quite certain she won't cause trouble? Remember that her father tried to assault His Excellency."

Sieges lifted her hands reassuringly. "I promise you, she'll cause no harm at all. We've installed a locking system on her voilition centers. She might have the will to attack a fellow student, but unless the lock's restriction level is activated at its lowest level, she won't be able to connect her thoughts to her motor and combat subroutines. That command is voice-activated and there's a speech recognition subroutine as well, keyed to only two distinctive voices, mine and Austrian's."

The Headmaster nodded, listening, but something about the look in his pale green eyes suggested he was not entirely convinced. "Perhaps it would be safer for all involved if we assembled a home study course for her?"

"If that's what you think would be the better and less risky course of action, by all means," Sieges replied.

"In that case, I'll be sending her a list of the necessary items for her curriculum," he said. "The Archivist should be able to provide the necessary devices."

She smiled a little. "As in the Archived Missions? I... ran some of those when she was quite young, but I suppose she could use a refresher course. It'll keep her out of trouble while I'm out in the Real."

"Yes, we heard from His Excellency that you were still recovering from the code extraction," the Headmaster said.

"And added to that, I'm about to undergo some... surgery in the Real," she added.

"Ah, the artifical limbs we heard tell of?" the Headmaster asked.

"The very ones," she said. "In some ways, I'll still be relying on something non-biological, though this one won't be a life-or-death situation."

"An ironic reversal of your circumstances," the Headmaster said, with a smile clearly meant to be sympathetic, but which fell short of the full expression.

Sieges rose from her chair. "In that case, I'd better head out and inform her of what we have planned."

The Headmaster rose with her. "You do realize there is a price to be paid. You'll have to convince her that devoted service to His Excellency is in her best interest."

"I'll have a word with her; she's not easy to get through to, but I'll find a way. I always do," Sieges said. A page opened the hall door for her and she headed out, accompanied by a pair of Elite Guards...
