Finally off Controller Wow that seemed like a lifetime...w00t for Trannie rank

Anyone else notice how annoying the Hyperspeed animation is?  I think it should be replaced with a short "intro-animation", if you will.  In other words, a short animation in the beginning, then nothing. (until it is reactivated of course)

 

The Animation discolors most clothing items, doesnt tie into the Matrix Movies or Animatrix movies at all, and slightly increases lag on low end systems. 

 

Ideas?

Intro

Coding can live with it, cant live without it. Without coding, we’d all be quite broke! Your $info should be used leveling up abilities, not buying them. You can create Abilities, Clothing, Weapons, Tools, and Upgrades for a fraction of the price it would cost on the market or at a vendor, you just have to know how!

Guide, Part One: The Items

There are several basic Items needed to Code Items within the Matrix. Without these items, you might as well give up on coding. These items are dirt-cheap and can be bought at ANY item Vendor.

The Items and my personal descriptions are as follows:

Items that are not required to Code, but can greatly help:

• Satelite: Commonly known as a "Dish". If you stand near them, they will boost your coding abilities by about 5 points each. It greatly increases your chances of success when coding, especially when coding an object higher than your own level.


• Clothing: be sure to wear any clothing with Coding Buffs on them while Coding. The clothing buffs for Coding in CR2.0 are not as spectacular as the origional Combat system, but they still help. I am a level 30 in-game, but with the Clothing I have I am a level 50 coder. The majority of good Coder buffs are on clothing around levels 24-50. However, you may find some of a lower level, but the buffs will not be NEAR as good.

Guide, Part Two: The Abilities

Abilities are needed to do just about anything in the game. So its only natural that there be abilities for Coding, right? While in game, look at the list of coding abilities needed to code, or simply scroll down! These abilities are listed on the left side of the Coder Tree.

Abilities Required to Code:

• Write Code: Allows the use of the Code Analyzer Tool. Also grants the "Write Code" Style of Combat


• Decompile Items: Allows use of the Item Decompiler.


• Repair Items: Allows use of the Repair Items Tool


• Compile Items: Allows use of the Code Compiler Tool

Abilities not required and/or needed to use the Abilities listed above

• Coder: Self Buff. required to advance throughout the tree


• Programmer: Reduces amount of $info needed to Code or Compile Objects. Required to Advance.


• Cryptography: Ability Description Unknown. Required to advance.


• Code Crafter: Decreases amount of time it costs to Code items also decreases the cost of writing codes. Required to Advance.


• Five Coder Specialties: These 5 abilities buff you in certain categories of coding. Highly recommended abilities to Code with. These include Ability Maker, Upgrade Maker, Apparel Maker, Tool Maker, and Weapon Maker.

 

Guide, Part Three: Steps to Coding

When Coding follow these easy steps. They are easy to get in the hang of and be SURE to get into the habit of performing the first one!

1. Apply any buffs to your RSI. (Satelites, Clothes with buffs, etc.)


2. Search your inventory for the Item you wish to Code and later Compile. Do this by activating your Code Analyzer Tool, then selecting the Category, Submenu, and Level of the item you are searching for. (See Picture A-1 for details)

3. Upload the Code you created (currently in your in-game inventory) to the nearest Hardline.

4. Compile the item by using your Code Compiler Tool. Doing so will make the item into a useable object in the Matrix.

5. Use/Equip the Item now in your in-game Inventory!

• To increase your Code Analyzer Inventory, decompile items using your Item Decompiler.

• After a long time of use, an Item may become unstable. Eventually you will not be able to wear the item. You can fix the item by using your Repair Items tool on the object. This will repair the stability, but take away ONE Purity Point


• Abilities do not need to be Compiled by the Code Compiler Tool, Simply upload them after creating them in the Code Analyzer Tool

WARNING: When using the Code Analyzer Tool, Code Compiler, or Item Decompiler there is a chance that you will fail the process. If you fail the process you will lose the item you are working on! Be sure to only code things within your limits as you will lose the $info and Code bits you put into making the item. Again, Satelites and buffed clothes can prevent failure.

Conclusion

Well fellow Redpills, I hoped the guide helped. Ill be adding on to it over time, going into more detail about the Stability and Purity stuff, and possible some other things if I forgot something. Hopefully the guide will help those new to coding and possibly help the veterans. Good Luck Guys!

Want to make a sig, but you just dont have that top-of-the-line program that will help you?  Well I started off with MS Paint and realized that if you want a make a sig you need something more..

 

Now dont think Im advertising for Corel or Adobe or anything because in all honesty, I dont work for them.  But I thought Id dig up this little URL for all those who want to make a good sig, without spending $100+ on a product.

Ok... this is probably the noobiest question Ive ever asked, and Ive been playing for 5 months now:

 

But what exactly is style stacking?

 

Because I use a bunch of different styles in my loadout like "kungfurate" and "kungfu+guardian patcher" is that style stacking? just making sure im not cheating..

My main Character "Updater" is stuck and every time I try to play on him my game crashes.  All other characters are fine however.

 

Also I apologize if there is a special section to put this in but Im in a hurry atm, again, sorry.

Yesterday around dinner time, I stopped playing to grab a bite to eat.  When I tried logging back in, I got to the loading area fine! But as soon as I selected my hardline and attempted to jack in it crashed on the last loading sequence.  I then got a message "ialmrnt5 has stopped working properly".  After rebooting and trying again, a blue screen came up saying "Windows has been shut down to avoid damage to your computer.....ialmrnt5...infinite loop"  sorry i cant be more specific but thats about as much as I remember.

 

Because my credit card gets charged TOMARROW I am going to cancel my account until we can find a solution to this problem (if there is one).  I would also like to add that Ive been playing for roughly 5 months now with no problems.

Probably should have been called "Trial".  Only Members of Fileplanet will be logging into this game for free any time soon.  I guess it is called "Free" when the makers of MxO arent making any money, even though FilePlanet is.

 

Please dont flame me as Im just pointing out the obvious.  Also, dont think Im dissing SOE, I think they've done a great job with the game and storyline, but I think charging people for calling something a "Free Trial" is kinda wrong.

Ok MxO needs a European server on EUROPEAN time.  Why sell the game in Europe if events are going to be held at 3 in the morning?

European players are missing out in all the major events because all the major events are during American time.  If you are going to hold an event, include all the players in the game, not just a select few

 

By the way before anyone asks I'm not European, but I'm speaking for my friends here.

 

 

Anyone who's reading,

Im suggesting that SOE temporarily boost everyone to level 50 during a big event.  For example: today SOE had an awesome event where they spawned a ton of npc's and such all over mara, but only about half of mara could partake in the event because if you werent level 50 you'd get massacred!  What im saying is is that for the duration of the event, include everyone in the fun.

I have seen the new CR2.0 buffs and im a bit confused.  At the moment I have an awesome set of clothes that really helps me.  Are the CR2.0 buffs the equivelent or almost the equivalent of the origional buffed clothes?
