The AC jack of my laptop has been utterly mangled, it'll take a rather expensive surgery that requires motherboard finagling to bring 'er back to life. In short, my laptop won't accept power.

-Was wondering if there's such a thing as an external battery charger where I can just charge my battery separate, pop 'er into the laptop and kaboom magic, a device that doesn't require the AC jack of my latop to be functional..

WGAnubis and GreatWyrm have been attacked in the real. Was it a fluke? Explosions, Sallo's signal from her hovercraft The Pariah lost in the fray, disconnected from The Devil's Advocates. She has been salvaged In Exilium, but who is she? What is she? Was she a Commander or merely a sleeper cell biding her time before she gained the rank and opportunity to bring down all the key human resources of the Merovingian himself.

She is a cyborg. Human and program, metal and flesh, predestined for her purpose to destroy that which she had built, unconcious of this destiny?

This Saturday an experiment will be performed, her physical self has been lost since before the creation of The Pariah, her own ship run by a program she created, a program that nearly detonated killing the members of her crew that included Barloke, QueenAthena, Kshana..

She needs to jack out, open again her eyes in the real and find the answers. Has it been too long, is it too late, in this scenario can time simply be a matter of perception.

This experiment will cause her human portion to feign a death like sleep, forcing her program self to reestablish a connection. Theoretically, this program will echo to 6 different locations in the Matrix where Sallo felt most connected to, it will need time at each location to reestablish a partial link. If it is successful without interference the future of Sallo is truly unknown. The program was designed for one purpose, to aid Sallo in her rise within Merovingian ranks, put her in the prime position to break it down into unrecognizable pieces thus rendering the Merovingian organization as well as the Merovingian himself, utterly impotent. Now that the program long time in the making has failed..

As Sallo the program echos it will most likely break through the encrypted barriers of various faction lines, due to the nature of this process, Sallo will be flagged hostile.

Each organization will have 2 opportunities to protect the Sallo program as a partial link is established to herself in the real. They can lock onto this link to retrieve a partial Trace Code should she survive hostile attack. The Sallo program will function as Sallo, that is, it will not want to be destroyed and will use any means necessary to ensure its own survival, including the exchange of information to her protectors.

Each organization will have 4 opportunites to destroy the Sallo program and from its slain form retrieve a copy of a partial Trace Code.

The Devil's Advocates need these Trace Codes along with the Decryption Codes they already have to locate Sallo's body in the Real. They need at least 3 Partial Trace Codes to locate Sallo's body in the real and are willing to deal with any organization able to obtain this.

Sallo is but one person, one story, what does it matter if she is recovered or not? While the nature of her being is of interest to the Merovingian organization, she is no overt threat to the Matrix as a whole. She isn't The Assassin, or Anome but a woman who excercized a blatant lack of popular morality to conduct her business and get to her position. The question is then, what is it worth to you in coin?

=OOC Logistics=

Sallo will be travelling to 6 locations, these locations will be divulged in simple enough clues dispatched throughout the week.

Out of these 6 locations she will be flagged as Zion in 2, as Machine in 2, and Merovingian in 2.

If she is at a location and is not found within 10 minutes , she moves on to the next location and the partial link from that location will have been established, meaning no orgnization receives the partial Trace Code from that location.

If she is at a location and is found and assisted by friendlies (that is, members from the orgnization she's currently flagged as), she will be able to establish a link within 10 minutes and all confirmed friendly members at that location will receive 100k. After 10 minutes she will say "Link Established" and the first friendly to send her a tell requesting the partial Trace code will receive it. After which she will say "Partial Trace Code has been awarded to --- " Note: 10 minute timer starts from the moment she enters that particular location.

Note: To be confirmed as a friendly either Sallo or her Event Assistant (TBA) will have to call your name out in Area Chat so be sure to make yourself known to either player. The logs will be reviewed later to ensure that those who were participating friendlies are compensated.

If she is at a location and is found by hostiles (that is, members from organizations she's currently -not- flagged as), after she has suffered her very first attack her system will undergo an emergency back-up process that will enable her to establish a partial link within 3 minutes. That is, all hostiles have 3 minutes to kill her 3 times. Explanation: should she be killed she'll immediately receive a blue rez, in an RP sense you're to disregard the rezzer and consider it as Sallo echoing back to that location in another attempt to recover the trace. Due to system limitations, she can only do so (be rezzed) 2 times per location. Note: 3 minute timer starts from the moment she receives her first attack.

-Should she be assisted by friendlies during hostile presence and survive the 3 minutes (with at least partial life on her 2nd last reconstruct) all friendlies confirmed (see note above) will receive 200k and she will say "Link Established" and the first friendly to send her a tell requesting the partial Trace code will receive it. After which she will say "Partial Trace Code has been awarded to --- " Note: For this, EPN will be considered as Zion and Cypherites will be considered as Machines.

-Should she be eliminated 3 times by hostiles within the 3 minutes, all players who had a kill shot will receieve 1 million info. Once she is eliminated 3 times she will announce "Sallo was dominantly eliminated by --- organization" and the first hostile -from the organization that got the most kill shots at that location- to send Sallo a tell requesting the partial Trace code will receive it. After which she will say "Partial Trace Code has been stolen by ---" Note: EPN will be considered as Zion unless EPN specifically has the most kill shots at that particular location, in which only an EPN member can request a partial Trace code, this will be mentioned by Sallo, same goes for the Cypherites and the Machine organization.

After a partial Trace Code is either awarded or stolen from a particular location, Sallo will move on to her next location.

Information awards and partial Trace code tokens will be delivered after the event once the logs have been reviewed. Once that is done a post will be made here recapping the event and announcing all those who were awarded for their participation and success, particularly the members who have acquired partial Trace Codes.

A single player will need to acquire 3 partial Trace Codes in order to haggle for information compensation from the Devil's Advocates. The going bounty is at 40 million info for these 3 partial Trace Codes but unlike other awards given in other competitions, in true Merovingian spirit, one hopes this player will be skilled in the art of negotiation to be able to obtain 3 partial Trace Codes and then to further negotiate their exchange rates. More information on that will be given once this Saturday's event has completed. Also keep in mind that the DA may have other means to track Sallo's location in the real.

Additional notes:

* Other than unbuffed clothing changes, the Sallo program will have the same loadout throughout all 6 locations.
* She will not take any consummables unless they are given to her and she is instructed specifically to take them.
* She will not join your team.
* She can be healed and buffed indefinitely.
* She will not be attacking and should she be interlocked her perogative is to roll out so that she can continue to focus on re-establishing her link.
* Each time she echos, that is, each time she is recalled to another location she will not be cognizant of her previous echo, she will act as if she has always been a member of the organization her current tag reflects and act accordingly.
* No level restrictions to participate and receive award, low level players are encouraged to participate as players of most levels will be able to make the kill shot.

I understand that with the new patch org hopping is not an option, but I assure you that this execution of this event is very possible. It's all in the name.~

Alo Patrons of Recursion,

I am officially moving to Texas on the 19th of this month. Most changes in my life occur swiftly and intensely, things on this end are perpetually unpredictable. At any rate, I will be taking a hiatus from my Commander position within the Devil's Advocates effective this Monday, October 9th for a period of 2-3 weeks as I undergo this transition. I hold the position of Commander in high regards and myself to equally high standards that I admittedly won't be able to accomodate during this transition period in my life. Because of it I will be finishing a long awaited chapter of Sallo's RP story. Sallo the character will be undergoing several transitions in this time period as well so no matter how my RSI is reflected within the Matrix, /ooc I am still a member of the Devil's Advocates and do intend on returning to my post once things have stabilized. During my hiatus, should you see Sallo in game she will be -completely- in character, not that she isn't already but up to this point, Sallo's RP has been very subtle in its execution, which won't be the case after October 9th.

The Trig Meritocracy and The Devil's Advocates officially joined forces, with MadHattah and Terentia to bid us well yesterday evening in Club Hel. After months of preparation, our work has finally come to fruition. The merging of our two great families, the forming of a great community. It has always been the work of the Trig Meritocracy to "Desire More." What better way to obtain this ideal than continue to achieve more. And so the Trig has taken on the DA name, one of the oldest and most esteemed factions of the Merovingian. The marriage between the business and the dynasty. Was the sacrifice of the Trig name worth it? Considering what we've gained as a whole: the consolidation of Merovingian resources, the creation of a better community, stronger family, to be part of that which is legendary.

The answer is yes.

The Merovingian organization is rebuilding. The success of our merger is but a marker of it. There is much work to be done still and this was our first prominent step. I am more than proud, more than pleased. The newly merged Devil's Avocates reflects the ideals of both DA and Trig. We are a rp/non rp faction of mature players who are interested in the Matrix environment whether it be player events, live events or various other happenings within our world of code.

Greetings luvs,

I believe entirely that the forum boards are a place for players to
discuss matters openly, but, if you haven't noticed our server boards
are plagued with negativity. While I beleive every post has its place
and am thankful that we are a community that supports and nurtures the
voices of others, I have decided to start up this project to hopefully
inspire that other matters (preferably more positive ones) regarding
the mxo universe are posted as well. To.. balance things out a bit,
perhaps push some of the drama to page two so that those who wish to
view it may still entirely do so. A fresh step in a new direction if
you will.

And so I am offering 5 million info to any player who posts a topic in this forum that is:

a) not ridiculous spam

b) challenges discussion

c) garners more than 10 replies

d) is not locked

Mind you I am miserly with my resources and will not reward you so
easily unless I feel it is earned. Who died and made me Queen? Well

Dear OpenSorce, dear Nocti,

Word has spread upon the relentless rumor mill that I had explicitly attempted to exclude the Nocti from the recent meeting of the Merovingian faction leaders. While I cannot entirely agree with your involvement with Merovingian affairs since you have stated it to me quite clearly in recent light that your faction is indeed -not- a Merovingian faction, but a group of orgless warriors, I still thought it best to explain myself.

More than a month or so ago EndlessVoid spoke with me regarding the assembly of the recent meeting, this was during my last days with the Nocti. You see, up until my last days with the faction I was under the impression that the Sidus Noctis was a Mervingian faction and so served/recruited for/ and represented them as such. Due to internal affairs and massive miscommunication OpenSorce shed some light on the true nature of the faction I had been serving since .. it's conception.

As I recall, I thought that EndlessVoid told me that he had spoken prior with OpenSorce and that OS had expressed his disinterest with working alongside Merovingians thus forfeiting his seat in the meeting. Because internal negotiations were still going on I told EndlessVoid that I would represent the Nocti until the various matters were sorted, I thought if anything, the Nocti should still have a representative present for even though they are orgless, they still carry the Merovingian tag.

Speaking with EndlessVoid recently he thought he had heard that OpenSorce was disinterested and had welcomed my offer in his stead. Void and I agreed that this was a miscommunication on both our parts as I would do no such thing to specifically try to exclude a faction from participating in an event. All this took place prior I believe to the Nocti's attacks on the MadHattah and during the week of my depature from them to form my own faction.

In addition, I was not even able to attend the afore mentioned meeting ((rl obligations and such)).

And so I'd like to apologize to the Nocti first and foremost for the miscommunication on my behalf. You were my family and I respected you dearly, even after the departure I still speak highly of the Nocti as some of the best fighters on this server. In any event, it's never a good thing to feel ostracized. I have not the pride to think that I am incapable of making mistakes.

I am glad that you were still able to attend the meeting. Perhaps meeting with the Merovingain leaders, Ookami, and the MadHattah reconstructed has inspired you to serve the Merovingian once more for I suppose you've found that being an orgless warrior upon an island can be quite lonesome. You'll always have a place in our community as your talents as a whole are quite exceptional.

How interesting to have you in our ranks, perhaps a word on etiquette. Like how it is quite rude and primitive to attempt to interrogate and intimidate a fellow faction leader. Such crummy accommodations of Camon Heights, I was aghast. You were inquring about my relationship with my fiancee NightTrace, and you of all people were questioning my loyalty to the Merovingian? I'm not sure what was more apalling, your train of thought or how poorly dressed some of your ex-bored machinists were since you felt that talking to lil dear me required the presence of your entire faction.

What authority do you have my dear to command me to abandon my relationship with the Generalista?

Shall I remind you of the very nature of this organization luvs~ now that you hold the Merovingian tag you have a duty to exude diplomacy and grace. I would have been happy to divulge my plans with NightTrace had you have been capable of showing a little finesse in the fine art of information gathering. Regardless, my work with the Merovingian has only been more profitable since NightTrace has been at my side. What better way to learn about my new brothers and sisters than to see them at work? To think that the work of the Generalista has had you running around shamelessly with heat lamps, poking your noses about the ruins of the MegaCity. We all have a purpose, we have our work and the passions that drive us. If the Generalista and the McDoE didn't "do their job" and didn't challenge the likes of your people.. God forbid you get bored and join the Zion cause.

At the time waster of a party you called a Merovingian get together you asked for respect and recognition. As if you drifted down to our exilic shadows from the source itself. These things take time. Trust, loyalty: things skewed in the underworld are still things that must be earned. Acting poorly upon misinformation, I have no time for idle threats m'dears and if you think being vampyric scares the likes of me, you do not know the nature of my being. A shame Malastus that you thought I was one of the folken who attacked the MadHattah and Ravyr that one day so merry long ago.. that would be the hammer of the Sidus Noctis that struck then, an orgless faction of fearless warriors that I was no longer a part of at that time.

Well~ I am a woman of business, and for everything there is a price. For trying to intimidate and interrogate and ultimately insulting me in the most unprofessional manner in which I have ever witnessed, I believe a financial compensation of 50 million info seems just about in order. For 100 million info I'll suggest to NightTrace to relax a tick on your collection case.

Or, perhaps we can start over in a scenario where you don't attempt to deceive and demand things from a fellow peer and associate through archaic and juvenile bullying.

Mystery Drama Theatre: The Makings of Episode 1

Character list:

Butler Jones: Middle aged man with an impeccable british accent.

QT: Machine Operative, A 7 year old girl, a wacky genius of the code and predicting patterns.

Kaden: Zion Operative, an older man with a rugged voice, a cowboy with the air of a noble knight. An honorable whiskey drinkin fella. As wise as he is deadly with his guns.

Sequence: Machine Operative, a hybrid model: half man / half machine, male, in his 20s, synthetic male voice, an unparalleled code crafter.

Gyp: Merovingian Operative, a shape changing woman of disernible age, romanian accent, elite spy

Lady Serenity: Organization unspecified, a sultry woman in her 20s

Narrator: The grand foyer of Serenity's mansion: marble tile and elaborate scuptures, artifacts from different times and different places. It is a room of power, a room of timeless wisdom, pricked with the fine touch of feminine comfort. Gathered here now are a collection of operatives, each the best of their trade specifically chosen from the ranks of the Zion, Merovingian, and Machine Organization. The cloaks were drawn at this secret meeting to discuss a matter that affected them all.

(sounds of distinct footsteps)

Butler Jones: The lady of the house will arrive shortly. She insisted that you make yourselves comfortable for the time being. Help yourselves to the bar.

QT: Kool! (squeals in delight)

Butler Jones: There is soda in the fridge behind the bar for you QT, I don't think my mistress would take too kindly to an inebriated 7 year-old. (pause) If you will excuse me.

Kaden: Here kid, just like candy.

Narrator: Kaden hands QT a shot glass of whiskey. Her eyes widen as she examines the caramel colored liquid. The air in the room is tense. Normally these operatives wouldn't be caught dead in the same room, Kaden's hand was always near his trigger; QT's mind had already created an algorithm which mapped the predictive movement of every guest. Just as QT was about to take her shot the glass vanished entirely from her fingers. Sequence, a machine operative, had decompiled the glass and the whiskey while pulling QT close to him.

QT: Awwwe Sequence.

Kaden: Kid's just having fun..

Sequence: (cuts in) Alcohol consumption is not necessary for our presence here.

Narrator: Sequence takes the code decompiled from the shot of whiskey and turns it into a bag of red gummy bears, and hands it to QT.

Sequence: Made with real fruit flavors.

QT: Thanksies! (makes a chewing and smacking noise) Want one?

Narrator: QT was faced towards what seemed to be a plain wall when she made her offering. A hush of smoke covered the room as a shadowy figure dismounted gracefully from the wall. It was Gyp, an infamous Merovingian operative.

Gyp: Not bad, little one. I think I'll try one yes?

QT: Here! Take this one!

(sound of distinct footsteps)

Butler Jones: Ladies and Gentleman, thank you for your patience. I present, Lady Serenity.

Lady Serenity: Greetings my loves, I'm pleased to see you all could make it. Gather round, I'll not waste anymore of your time.

Kaden: Fasionably late as usual m'lady?

Lady Serenity: But of course dear~

QT: (in an overly concerned voice) What's wrong, why are we here?

Lady Serenity: As you know, there have been disappearances sited from all organizations. Some of the best operatives have been reported "Missing in Action." After much research I have discovered that the operatives are in fact not missing. They have been reinserted into the pods of bluepill comatose patients. You may ask what has happened to their bodies in the real, I have reason to believe that the person behind this has operatives in the real who are very capable of infiltration and stealing the bodies while a program within the Matrix extracts their mental code, inserting those minds into the sleeping bodies of the unawakened comatose patients. This is a fairly new program and we have to work quickly. Currently we do not know who is behind this or which organization this person represents. I have gathered you all here for your various fields of expertise. QT: Machine Operative, a genius in code recognition and patterning.

QT: Hiyo!

Lady Serenity: Kanen: Zion Operative, an unequivocated gunslinger, a master of strategy and execution, not to mention a true gentleman.

Kanen: Thank you m'lady.

Lady Serenity: Sequence: Machine Operative, expert code crafter, QT's caretaker, a master of efficiency and perfection, not to mention that he's a great cook when he wants to be, aren't you sweetie?

Sequence: Flattery is not necessary.

Lady Serenity: And of course Gyp: Merovingian operative. As I'm sure you know her expertise lies in infiltration, information gathering, and of course her favorite, assassination.

Gyp: (chuckles) You are always too kind.

Lady Serenity: I have called you here because you are the best. For this purpose I ask you to work together despite your disparities in organization title. I have lost many who are dear to me as have you, and so you all will be very well compensated for your mission.

Narrator: She snaps her fingers and the Butler returns with a platter of labelled envelopes. One for each of the operatives.

Lady Serenity: Within these envelopes you will find a check and a contract, one that must be signed in blood before we can proceed to do business. The contract simply states that this is a covert operation, any leak in information on your behalf will result in your deletion. Also it states that you are not allowed to (she chuckled) kill any of your fellow associates here unless authorized personally by me. In short, any breech of contract will result in you death. May I remind you that this assignment is for the betterment of your respective organizations. We need to get to the root of these disappearances as soon as possible, I don't think any one of us can afford another loss. Are we agreed then?

Narator: Kaden, QT, Sequence, and Gyp all examined both their checks and their contracts. The so called "check" was really a small disk filled with a wealth of information, something worth more than any dollar bill or pound of gold. One by one the operatives dripped a spot of blood onto the contract's thin code collection disk. The contracts were signed and collected.

Lady Serenity: Very good. Now, where to begin..
