Dropping code bombs is a little more extreme yes only because for a brief moment it causes a temporary destabilization of the Matrix, but that basically is it. The only long term effects you could possibly anticipate is the reaction from a Blue Pill that was forcibly awakened which in most cases is quite a few of them since that's the whole point of dropping a code bomb.
To actually destabilize the Matrix to the point where it would actually collapse would take alot more than what they have at this point. If the Matrix could be likened to a few types of species of animal that no longer exist in the Real you could put a scratch in them and they would heal soon, blow off a limb and it grows back over time (I'm thinking either it's a lizard or some sort of salamander that has that ability but not sure).
For me this group is attempting a pointless endeavor, they cannot destroy the Matrix, they are just awakening Blue Pills en masse and against their will. They cannot effect Exiles but merely destabilize their signatures temporarily and the effect to red pills at the very most is a EJP.
Their own bretheren have condemmed their actions, The Machines sooner or later willl want to cease this bomb dropping group's activites and as for the Merv Org I would think that this is merely an annoyance,buisness goes on as usual. Our only concern was to our affairs bieng hampered or stopped in some way because of this but as far as I can see right now that is not the case. If the other red pills feel this must stop then stop them if the other group still wants to drop bombs , then be my guest. Sooner or later they will slip up and then that will be essentially it. At any rate I am not the Law Enforcement aspect of the Matrix, that's the Machines job if they make some offer on the table for us to stop these guys then we will have an interest in it.

I have mixed feelings on this because if past experience has taught me anything concerning this game is that there are always these announcements for big changes and sometimes they head for the worst in a big hurry.
The cinematic issue to me is one of those things were it could be made into something that we used to see in the WB days but as usual there is a thousand excuses as why it can't happen (http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/posts/list.m?start=285&topic_id=3630002592 .
If anything I have witnessed in this game that has stuck out the most is with a little imagination and ingenuity you can turn out something really good.
But it seems like these days quick fixes are the order of the day. Instead of enhancing the roles of LESIG and the CYPH and EPN orgs it was just simpler to sweep all of that under the rug. By enhancing I mean give the LESIG more to work with other than "follow me to point "A" defend or attack mission area and then go to a random club for a recap of events". For the EPN/ CYPH well i was always hoping they would have their own branch complete with their own missions. I think something like that would give renewed interest in those orgs. I understand there are data base issues where no one wants to mess with it but come on already, more than three years now and STILL the database is looked on like The Ark of the Covenant where everyone is too worried to get close (well the Indiana Jones version at least).
If financial excuses is the reasons then lets shift to legal issues. I'm not saying hire a lawyer because SOE MUST have some lawyers under their employ. Wouldn't a call to them to see what can and can't be done as far as allowing player particitpation in development be a way to go?
Again I say i have mixed feelings about al these changes which is a way of also saying I think this has a 50/50 chance of bieng a good thing or something really horrible, time will tell I guess.
One thing though and I know this isn't going to be well recieved by some but although i have alot of respect for what Rarebit is trying to do. I'm a little put off about the lack of response to some very valid concerns. 6 days now, more than enough time to take a look at the forums and answer at least ONE response. Yes the Halloween Event thing looms close, so what's your point? That has a year to be prepared and besides it just took me 20 minutes to read the entire thread and now respond here. So lets give him an hour because i understand he is busy , but one hour just to answer any of these threads can't be spared? It's just like slapping the side of a hornets nest with a stick and watch the little buggers go nuts. All I am saying is if you put a thread out like this, don't let it go to 20-21 pages (or who knows how many more) before responding. Anyway that's just how i feel and I'm not speaking for anyone but myself here.

I don't really anticipate sharing out the work on cinematics, for a number of reasons (legal, leaks, management issues, stylistic differences). I'm pretty sure that mine will be rougher--both stylistically and technically--than your example, but it's still a large unknown for me so I'll just have to find out how it goes. - Rarebit

How come? I would guess that no one who is volunteering help really expects to get paid anyway. At any rate wouldn't SOE have some lawyer draw up a contract for this type of thing?

Again I would guess SOE's legal team could put in something in the contract like a non-disclosure agreement.

This is too general in my opinion. That excuse could mean anything.
Stylistic differences?
Well yes that's the point as well. What you are getting is people with new ideas as well but I would expect that Rarebit would have the final say what goes into the actual cinematic.

This is more a question/suggestion to Rarebit. Instead of knocking yourself out drawing cinematics wouldn't it be easier to just film cinematics in game? I am not sure if Aquatium did something like that for the Wireframe man cinematic but it did look just as good as the old cinematics. I'm more than sure any of the more film saavy players would be more than willing to give you a hand there either as extras or as film crew.

Meh , it's all BS in the end.Blue Pills are no less innocent then us red pills. The only thing that seperates us is we know the Reality beyond the illusion. That's pretty much it, as far as their innoncence, you mean the same bluepill that decided to put on a ski mask , jump a bus and open fire , killing 14 people is a lamb? The same ones that cheat on their taxes, shoplift from a electronics store, spray paint a church or mug an old lady are innocent? Guess what...no one is innocent. We all have our degrees of guilt and some hide it better than others but in the end...it's all BS.
But we are supposed to save bluepills...
Sure we are, but that doesn't mean alot of them make it to that point. I mean come on, how many Bluepills out there you really think are gonna smell the proverbial coffee and decide to question the reality they live in? Not many and it makes me wonder who were the smarter ones, The ones that took the red pill or the others that decided to stay.
Blue Pills die, this is the cold hard fact. It doesnt matter if they were caught in the crossfire between a bunch of operatives and some cops. Or that a man and a woman dressed in black could walk into a government building and open fire, killing several security guards and end up blowing up said lobby. Or even some poor schmuck who did nothing more threatning than drive down the freeway one second and then have his car turn to swiss cheese by some albino weirdo. They were just there at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Every operative on one degree or another has to live with the guilt for the Mechs, it was a "necesary expendeture of resources" for the Zionists it was the "Ultimate Sacrifice" and for the Mervs it was just "buisness" it's the things we tell ourselves at night to our collegues in the Real so when we sleep in our cold bunks we can get some sleep and blot out the faces of the people that will never know the truth.
can't we all just get along and live in peace?
No , we can't all three orgs follows a different agenda, One for control, one for freedom at any cost, the other for continuation and survival. As a Merv i don't look at the Mechs or the Zionists as enemies.

I'm not, it's got to the point where most people would rather appear like the jaded commentator where when something sad and horrible as a suicide is recieved with this know it all, half witted comments. Sure the person or persons may think that they are bieng funny, that somehow they have wowed the community with their limited insight, but in the end it's a lack of empathy and the sort of detachment many now in online communities have.
It's very easy to appear that way until the something similar happens in your own personal life and if it did and you are still this way then God help you because you are really an empty soul.

About the only thing if any that i would have a complaint on was the lack of roleplay instances and that we cut it short so fast (I won't say why here but I think you know when that happened).
When I said i wanted to add something it was just some things I noticed since arriving back in the Matrix that I felt were concerns. One the obvious lack of roleplay or when there was it was either stale or just plain ridiculous.
OOC-wise I am hoping we can bring out more roleplay that involves all the orgs, because we need it like real bad. I/C Barloke wouldn't give the time of day to a Zionite, Cypherite, EPN or Mech unless they had something to trade for (and that's basically just in a rp stance, OOC you guys know I'm there to help).
Merovech is a roleplay faction, but that doesn't mean we are going to sit around hardlines all day. When it is time to fight we are there. Yes we don't see eye to eye alot of times with our fellow Mervs but it doesn't mean we are out to "get them" .
I do disagree that the rationale behind the rp in "Blood Bath" and "Bad Dictation" was hasty and rash. It had a energetic feel to it and to be perfectly honest it was discussed over and over before acting upon it, so it wasn't like we pulled it out of the sky.
In the end I look at it like this. I am an operator for the Merovingian who has made no secret of his criminal activities, which in turn by association I am a criminal. If I act like one then would it seem at all that shocking?

I would like to add something. I have noticed a disturbing trend in some of the organizations and sadly enough in the Mero Organization. To be blunt all this touchy feely "lets walk down the streets hand and hand and sing folk songs" attitude has had me wanting to press the throw up emote in rapid succesion.
I don't mean we all pull out our knives and guns and start going at it, but come on! I remember a time when the only way you would get a Merv to back up a Zionist or Mech was if they paid enough.
Has political correctness infested the Matrix? I don't know, I can say honestly though the last time i checked Merv operatives worked for a crime syndicate. So in simple layman's terms; if you work for a criminal organization, you yourself are a criminal. That means your not the March of Dimes, you don't do for charity and you are always looking to see how you can turn a situation to your advantage.
If you have to kill, steal or burn down your enemies then so be it, whatever it takes but get the job done.
I know many Merv Operatives that would disagree whole heartedly with that sentiment saying that these viewpoints give the Merv Org a bad name. I counter that with "so what's your point?" It isn't like they are going to have a Merovingian Day marked on any calender in Zion, and as far as the Mechs go, well they just see Exiles as something to shoot at.
We have been labeled as (or at least in my case) as "terrorists" "assassins" "anarchists" etc etc and the list goes on.
Big Deal
Funny the only label I ever had for Zion and Mechs was "potential customer".
But I never thought hypocracy would be one of the things I would think of when i thought of Zion. Merovech put out a storyline where for ONCE it wasn't the usual Mech vs Zion vs Merv scenario. Instead we wanted to do a Merv vs Merv scenario which the last time i checked was done remotely during the Lupine/Vampire uprising. Part of the storyline was that Merovech began killing bluepills in retaliation to our then foes.
Needless to say when we put out the stories we had alot of backlash from it, surprisingly from a few operatives that were Zion affiliated and most surprisingly from Merv's!
"Oh how could you kill the poor Blue Pills! They didn't do anything to you!"
and the jaw dropper was "you are making the game not fun for us $15 a month paying customers" (like I'm playing the game for free).
Only two things I can respond to that . To the Zionists, you got one heck of a nerve judging us for killing blue pills! Like your "Messiah", Neo didn't take out a whole lobby full of Blue Pills in the Federal Building, Like Morpheus NEVER intended to destroy the 7 billion + Blue Pills still connected to the Matrix. Me and my faction take out a few blue pills and all of a sudden we are the monsters, yeah right.
To the Mervs in particular the ones that PM'd me about the storyline. I will fight to the death to defend any of you. I can disagree with you completely but as Mervs we are out to defend each other. Yes it is true no Organization is perfect and there are going to be instances of in-fighting but when it comes to us against them, we back each other up. Just understand that there are times you have to get your hands bloody if you want to get the job done.

Because it's time-consuming to the max.
If anyone's ever seen ESIV: Oblivion then you know how rich and awesome the graphics and the world in that game are. I took it upon myself to try to create a world of my own using the Oblivion Construction Set - which was fun and actually going well until I forgot to make a backup and completely blew up my world, then quit in frustration. But I made exactly one island with one town on it - in 5 days. Maybe more. The devs don't have the time without bringing in new people to do this. Agreed , it is very time consuming to build something as intricate as a District ,the DataMine construct alone is a miracle that it was made. so you could start smaller like a room or part of a building. It still would take some work but no where near the level of work for an entire district.

Heck if building a construct is easier , Im'm cool with that. To take it a step further you could do something lke this...
Ok special missions get you different types of keys. The missions would be outside the White Hallways and just would be held in the current districts. Getting the keys would be for the sole purpose of using one door in the Hallways. Now we could have it that you wouldnt know which door to use and that would be pretty much like the movie because as far as i know from the Movie niether Neo nor Morpheus knew where they were going and needed a "guide". But I get the feeling that wouldn't go over too well because you would just end up with alot of aggravated players. So i guess a mission door would mark which one you could use (that green bulls eye thing you see on missions).
Ok so you do the mission , you get a specific mission key , go to the White hallways and find the door. The next area I thought about and got the idea , instead of having just some plain old mission area , they could have a areas that look like places from the movies, One place could take you to La Vrai, another could take you to a replica of Debtor court (with a certain twist I'll explain further down) maybe another could take you to that room in the sewer where the Zionists met up in Reloaded, The electric plant they detonated is another place , well you get the idea.
Ok what to do there then ? For Lavrai for example you would get your "challenge" from the Merv himself like "go down to the parking lot , i believe we have a disturbence." You go down there to have hordes of exiles come after you including the Twins.
For Debtor Court You could have the Oracle sitting on the bench and have her say something like "Bad news honey..." she dissappears and is replaced by a couple of angry agents.
You could do the same from every place where there is a key , hell you could make several type mssions like this and each mission finishes when some cool prizes. The good part is that the areas created with the mobs are realatively small in comaprison with a construct and shouldn't be too much o a hassle to build since most of the stuff they already have on file.
Oh also some of the keys are duds or at leat they won't take you where you thought you were going , so instead of going to the (mob) mission area , you'l end up say in front of a store in Achan, nothing spectacular but you could reuse that key anytime you wanted to.
Prizes for the mission could range to a dumptruck load of money, super high buffed clothes , or a master key.
Anyway I think it would be worth a shot.

Well for that , i think using the Hallways as it was used in the movies is possible. Now granted from what I know how the teleporter works comes from other games but it has to do with putting in a string of coordinates from a grid (like x,y,z plus you would have to account for height although i think technically all the hardlines are at the same height, just the streets are lower or higher). The more string of coordinates you have, the more places you can go to. I think for now though we could put in a few areas in Richland/Westview/International/ Downtown. If the teleportation program is scripted as I suspect I think all it takes is to "code" whatever door you want to act as a teleporter in the different areas. Ok to explain that say you wanted the door in Ascenscion Monument to work, you would just code the door and it ahould function like a proxy where you click it and you are transported to the hallways.
Now the twist I was thinking of was that we would have to use actual keys to get tosome of these doors because of course the Whit hallways doors are going to be locked. Maybe create some mission just to get the keys, but something where the player is going to have to work for those keys.
I think the nice part to all of this is that anyplace can be used to get you transported , like Hell Club, Federal Building etc etc. I don't know if rarebit has plans to add things to some of these places but it would be cool if we could have a new place in hell club or the fed building (maybe finally make a La Vrei?).
At any rate it would be cool to see if it could work .

As far as building an entire District well that is a REAL tall order. I talked with a faction mate of mine while we were in Downtown here were some of the observations we found.
-Auto traffic responds to traffic lights and cars follow the pattern of the street. -Pedestrians walk along the sidewalk path at regular intervals. -Wind effect is noticable (leaves and dust). -Night and day effects are visable. - Also of note the lighting from building and streetlamps respond to Day/Night effects. -Doors to buildings open and close and the buildings themselves uses an elevator system as well as stairs to get to different floors. -Flags (and i think trees as well) have a wind effect.
Now these are just a few things a casual observer would notice, but in what we saw in 15 minutes would tell us that just building a district would be more than just laying down a few buildings, you have a whole bunch of other stuff you would have to account for in order to make a district on par with the rest of the districts. Plus we are talking about a very big space to fill. Rarebit i think took a few months to make the DataMine so naturally if the job fell on one person to do it , we could expect to see a new district in a year or more (and that I think isa kind estimate).
The other problem i understand has to do with the database itself in that they don't want to mess with it because if something breaks there then that's it , no game.
So i guess in answer to your question i think it would require a few programmers , designers and animators to design and test for it. As to if its possible to get them ? Of course it is ! But as Neo would say "the problem is choice...."

I wanted to get all three subjects in because in one way or another they are tied in. As I understand it, one of the reasons why we don't have new districts (aside from the non-animator issue) is that there is no way to add to the existing hardlines. So I was thinking of this.
Why not just add a second set of hardlines? Ok to explain, lets call the known and current hardlines "Hardlines A" these are the ones that take us to all the districts we currently have. If we make another group "Hardline B" we could use that to get to any added new districts and for the new districts itself.
I'm not entirely sure how the programing is set up to have a object used as a teleporter but my guess it would have to be some sort of a script used in the object so when you interact with it via mouse clicks it brings up the menu with the choices of "loading Area" "Hardline" Abilities" etc.
If this is the case then wouldnt be possible to use the modern telephone booths scattered in the known districts as a "hardline B" option?"
We know that the new constructs and the White Hallways use a similar teleport device as the hardlines with the exception of the added menu, but I think if we could tackle the problem of also adding the menu to the actual teleport script we could be in buisness as far as getting a way to get to new districts (if any are ever created).
Like wise we could use the same concept for the white hallways where to get a door open you would need a key, plenty of doors in there to set something like that up but for the sake of lag chose seven doors you can try at first. You use the key on a certain door, get it open and are transported to a different part of the Matrix, exactly how the Hallways were meant to be used and it fits with the movie's concept.
As far as the new Districts , if any are created you could add train lines as well as its just a teleporter with alot more animation (with the train pulling up and leaving the subway) .
Anyway that was something I was thinking about, I wont even pretend to say I understand the programming involved for this game but sometimes the best solutions are the most simplest.

It's weird back in the ol' WB days the chief complaint (I would hear at least) was the gameplay elements or lack of. Plus the fact that there was less things you could could get to improve and enhance your fighting. The rp aspect some complaints but not no where as near the level of dissatisfaction as it is today. The roleplay admittiedly could be much better, if last event is any indication of what events are like these days where one of the components was having a "seance" then yes they should really get on the ball and start making some events that are at least true to the Matrix form. That's to say I'm not blaming the Devs or the Liasons, they really don't have alot to work with, but i think it has been proven that with a little imagination and some effort you can turn out a decent event. That bieng said there are alot of good things in this game that has even improved the place alot more. Two new constructs (and i believe one more is on the way) lots of items and new clothes (well re-designed and re-buffed new clothes) and the archives will keep you occupied for some time. Recursion does have its "empty" days or at least it feels that way, but some days the place is jumpin.

Splizkin, I been there myself a few times, believe me there are WORSE game environments to play in where the drama here would look laughable compared to that. I don't know you except by name, or the situation that made you decide to leave, but if I may suggest as one vertern matrix player to another, don't give away all your stuff. Take a vacation from the game and just recharge. When you think that you want to come back , do so , just focus on the good aspects, just remember for as many "good-bye" threads out there , there are plenty of "I'm back " threads. Best of luck man, will keep the porch light on for ya.

I know there was a similar thread about downloading the game music, however when I tried the link it said that radio city doesnt have a active link anymore any other place i can download the game music?) If worse comes to worse i suppose i could download all those wav. files but i wouldnt know how to compile all of that , any help is appreciated.

I started with the Red Code Army which was the only faction I ever was in for a LONG time. took a few months off and tried reviving it recently (about 5 months ago I believe ) but that petered out to nothing. So I talked to a friend who was interested in joining and we both created Merovech Inc and tied the RCA saga into Merovech, so far we are doing pretty good!
Favorite event for me was the vampire and lupine uprising.
Nowadays our faction is attempting to invent new events. The first one we ever did was two weeks ago and it was alot of fun to do.

Well this actually concludes this little mini event. To recap the final moments Tranque and Barloke did meet and hashed out the problems they had. Barloke has agreed to a non agression stance against the remaining patients of Tranque and has donated 400 mil to be divided to the families of the victims. No word on the Zion or Mech stance but as Barloke would say "he wouldnt give it a second thought."
We had alot of fun doing this and in all honesty this was something that was done in the begining on the fly. Yes we could have accepted Tranque's note to us as the genuine article, but upon relfection we saw oppourtunity and took it. This was the first time Jahzel or i have ever worked on a project like this together and we are rather happy with alot of the results.
The most we took from this was alot of tips on how to make an event work. One thing i learned in partiular was that an event like this shouldnt go over a week long and the echoes of the seven P's were always going through my head, Previous, Proper , Planning , Prevents , Perilous , Poor , Perfomance.
While we would have loved to have seen more of a reaction rp-wise we still had alot of fun working with what we had and with that we hope to make another event down the road even better.

Jahzel- night after night those emails were something to look forward to, the screenshots were something I enjoyed seeing everytime.
The cast of Merovech and the victims- (Avath, Ilithia, Melwon, Shayded, Trung, Corphe, Pops, Jahzel, Olbaid and Kaleeb) Thanks for putting up with us in the director's chair, without all of you this wouldnt have been possible.
Tranque- What can i say ? The man can roll with the punches, he rp'd this as best as he could with practically no input from me or Jahzel and pulled off his end brilliantly. The man has my deepest respect as a fellow roleplayer.
Sieges-I had to chuckle when you told me you felt bad about some of the things you said, believe me there was never any anger on this end and your first gut reaction sometimes is the right one, or at least the truest to the soul of the person you are.
Vesuvious- Thanks for the roleplay material (and i think Jahzel wants to contact you on some tips with using those newspaper templates) a through and through rp'r if there ever was one. We really appreciated the interaction and the kind comments.
To all that I didnt mention , thank you for your participation. We hope we can bring out some future events that are even better

Shinjuku 11:03pm Shinjuku- Club Masamune 
Trung saw the guards outside the club and already knew he was in for a difficult time. Well, it’s not like Barloke didn’t warn me, he thought while he tossed his guns in a alleyway and walked toward the entrance of the club. Due to the recent crime wave of events, many clubs were adding extra security so it was no surprise when one of the guards produced a hand scanner and checked Trung and several other patrons for weapons. The club inside wasn’t as loud as Trung thought it would be, which was good news and bad. Good because as far as Trung was concerned they could take their synthesizers and screeching guitars and shove it. Bad because the noise would have been a good mask in case his “mark” wasn’t going to go out quietly. He headed over to the bar and ordered a beer, quietly taking in the surroundings. Club was maybe half full, or maybe half empty, depending on how much of a optimist or pessimist you were, which spelled more bad news for Trung.  The waiter however was the only good news for Trung as it was his “mark.” 33 year old Mel Stentson approached Trung with a beer on his tray and served it with a disinterested “here ya go” before walking back behind the bar. “Geez Laura I got to go to the bathroom and wash my hands.” The bartender looked at Mel with frank disbelief and said “again? This is like the fifth time in an hour you had to go wash your hands. For chrissakes Mel, you’re serving booze, not plutonium!” Mel looked at her and said “c’mon Laura I’m gonna go nuts if I don’t!” Laura looked at Mel with disgust before rolling her eyes and waving him off with an impatient hand saying “Fine, just get back here before the end of this century!” Neither of them noticed that the man that was just served beer left the bar and was already walking through the bathroom door with his beer bottle in hand… Mel walked in the bathroom a few seconds later and with a happy look of satisfaction started washing his hands the same way he did since childhood. He made sure his hands were literally covered in lather before applying some scalding hot water to rinse it off. You could never be too careful, germs were everywhere, everything you touched nowadays was a germ factory waiting to infect you, waiting to sap away at your health, to make you cough and sneeze and generally become a germ factory as well. His parents raised him right; he would always wash his hands, always. No matter what you were doing, the reasoning in his household was there was always time to make sure you didn’t become a germ factory. Then the nightmare hit him, he felt the pressure in his belly that didn’t come up, but made an agonizing trip downward. He looked at the toilets with something like horror knowing that the inevitable was at hand, but dreading what must be done. He wrung his hands in fists in a what to do, what to do gesture even as he walked to the stalls and saw with some relief that the toilet paper bins were full. His small smile was for a reason, paper comes from trees, and trees were pronounced as “clean” to Mel so therefore the paper must be clean. Thanking his luck he started pulling at the toilet paper and in a minute the entire seat of the toilet was covered with it. Trung sighed and waited in the stall next to Mel’s wondering how he was going to take his “mark” out. No weapons on him and no easy exit out of the bathroom. He looked down for a moment and smiled discovering that at least one of the two problems he had was solved… Mel heard glass smashing just before he was about to sit down and called out worried “everything all right there? “Yeah” the voice in the other stall chuckled “just dropped my bottle is all, its times like this I wish I had three hands!” “Oh….ok” said Mel uncertainly before hearing the toilet in the other stall flush. He turned around and was just starting to lower his pants when the stall door crashed inward, knocking him onto the seat. The killer with a jagged bottle neck charged in and began cutting quickly along the neck of Mel as he held him down.  Mel’s last thoughts weren’t about the obvious fact that his life was now in the milliseconds, he was surprisingly thinking of all the germs that must be on the glass bottle…. Trung stepped back and out the stall away from the bloody mess that was Mel. Reaching into his coat he pulled out his phone. “Operator” “Done, but I got a few problems here>” “And that is…?” “I’m pretty much trapped in the bathroom” said Trung and then frowned when the operator started chuckling. “Yeah, yeah real funny, now how do I get out?” The operator stopped chuckling but said in a amused voice “turn around.” Trung turned and saw a door where the wall was a few seconds ago and smiled as he said “thanks man.” “No problem” said the voice on the other end “but you better move fast, Agents tend to notice when you start changing things.” “Right” said Trung and then grimaced and said “ugh” “What is it now?” “Nothing” said Trung as he looked at all the blood on him, “just saw the mess this left on my clothes” As he stepped out of the door and in the alleyway, Pops who was in the real laughed and said “well Barloke told me to say if you mentioned it, that that’s what you get for wearing all white to a mission.” Trung rolled his eyes and hung up, just relieved that this mission was over and he was on his way out…

Murasaki, 10pm Green Tigers Restaurant Avath ate her noodles without much relish, in truth the restaurant wasn’t exactly a five star, but the food was clean and the clientele mostly tourists who had no clue as to what good Chinese food tasted like. The only reason why she was here was because her “mark” was here, a Floyd “the Flow” Benice who for the past 12 years of his miserable 23 year old life was in and out of correctional facilities. In her life before she was awakened, Avath was a prosecutor and the docket of the case file of the man in question past her desk on more than one occasion. The last case would have put him away for good, before the matter of his sanity came into question. The defense was that killing a van full of teens wasn’t the work of some greedy kid armed with a revolver and dreams of getting a lot of money from the hit. No, the defense claimed that this was the work of a troubled individual, certainly a man with his colorful past in courts could prove that he was imbalanced, and what was more the word of a prominent psychiatrist that with rehabilitation was enough to convince the jury that a lesser sentence of insanity was the proper sentence, but that didn’t sit well with Avath, not at all… Floyd took a last chug of beer before he told his drinking partner Miles “man if this deal goes through we are gonna be swimming in dough!” Miles looked back and warned “just no kill crazy rampages Floyd, you got off more than lucky the last time, so don’t push it.” “Yeah, yeah” said Floyd as he got up “I’ll be extra careful this time, and we will get the goods. I just hope Garvin pays big for it. I don’t want to go through all this trouble for nothing.” Miles nodded waving Floyd off and sat drinking his beer as Floyd left, not noticing the woman that got up from the bar and headed toward the door. Avath took her time following the man past the darkened alleyway to a lone opening by the bikes, knowing that Floyd would be there where she wanted him. She watched a moment a little amused as Floyd cursed a series of choice and colorful words at the bicycle he used to get around, the bike that now had two flat tires from earlier courtesy of Avath.  Floyd gave the now useless bike a kick before turning to walk away before he heard “Hello Floyd, having some bike trouble?” Floyd turned around slowly to see the woman pointing a gun straight at him and his eyes widened when he saw her face.” “You!” he said in shock “you’re that lawyer babe that wanted me locked up forever!” Avath smirked and said “I’m flattered” she cocked back the hammer of the gun as Floyd started to babble “hey you can’t do this, you’re a lawyer!” “Not anymore…” “Look lady, please! I didn’t kill those people! I swear it!” Avath lowered the gun slightly and said “we both know you did, the only thing that got you off was that your friend has money and he has use for you, that’s why you got out. So what was on the agenda tonight Floyd? Planning to knock over a liquor store? Maybe leave the owner dead for your trouble?” “Well actually it was a jewelry store…” muttered Floyd and he began babbling again when Avath raised her gun again. “No! Don’t lady! Please lady! I’m a sick man! You heard what the shrink said! Temporary insanity! I need help lady, I need medical help!”  Avath could have let the man go on talking but she heard it all before, and besides time was not in her favor… “I got all the “cure” you need right here” she finally said and emptied the entire clip into Floyd who was dead even before he hit the floor without so much as a scream, like he wasted all his breath begging to live and had nothing left for the actual dying part. Avath looked around a moment as she tossed the gun in a garbage can and pulled out her phone. “Operator” “Done” “Shin Dao and Chen two blocks away, we’ll be waiting.” “Roger that” and hung up, walking away from her final case….

Downtown 6 pm Center Park   Barloke put away the paper as Jahzel walked up to him in the park. “So did you send flowers” Barloke asked as he tossed the paper to the side. Jahzel saw what was on the cover and said “no, but I showed up so that’s something I tell you the families of the ones we just knocked up are set for life with the amount of money Tranque was throwing their way.” Barloke nodded and stood and said wryly “sure…why not? He can always code more…”  Both men walked out of the Park talking. Jahzel said “he did make some small mention about you.” They stopped on the corner waiting for the light to change and Barloke said “you mean about the “troubled individual” jazz?” Jahzel nodded and said “yeah” as they crossed the street. “I also heard some rumor that the Zionites are beginning an investigation of sorts.” Hmmm” Barloke said as they reached the other end of the street and headed towards the subway “that is surprising; I would have thought the Mechs would have taken a greater interest than the Zionists...” As they descended to the platform Jahzel said “well I doubt they will for long, word is that they are tired of the whole mess and some have said they wish Tranque would try to come to some peace agreement with you if just to end all the slaughter.” They stood on the platform while Barloke shrugged and said “well he knows my number, he can always arrange for talks but until then the rock and roll doesn’t stop…” Richland 7:30pm Mara 26 year old Bob Dugan was playing with marshmallows on lawn table on the rooftop of his apartment. His aunt always hid the keys to the rooftop from him, but Bob always seemed to find them. He knew he wasn’t supposed to be up here and that if he was caught he would probably be punished by staying in his room all week, but he was having the time of his life and not once did he thing about flying. He was just finishing making a marshmallow castle when a red headed man approached him and said pleasantly “heya Bobby! What ya doing there?” Bobby looked guiltily at the red headed man and then at his friend who looked older and for some reason made Bob nervous as he said “nothing mister, I’m just building things.” Jahzel looked at the lumps of marshmallows and said “ah and that’s a what? Clouds maybe?” Bob shook his head rapidly and said “Oh no that’s a castle.” Jahzel smiled “well it looks great, me and my friend here were just thinking about flying and we wanted to know if you would like to come along.”  At that Bob’s eyes took on a dreamy look “fly” he asked almost to himself. “Uh huh” answered Jahzel “maybe fly all the way to Downtown and back again, wouldn’t that be fun?” Bob smiled and said “you are fooling me mister” he said “Doc told me I can’t fly, that only birds can do that and people in machines. I used to think I could, but then I got hurt bad and they took away my comic books, but I still like to come up here to see the birds fly.” Looking at Jahzel he said lowly “that’s why I steal the key when my aunt’s asleep, if she knew I was up here it would be grounding for sure.” “Hmmm” said Jahzel as he scratched his chin “so you don’t believe you can fly then?” Bob shook his head and said “no mister.”  “well what if I could prove it to you?” said Jahzel with a smile and Bob laughed and aid “sure! That would be great!” “Ok” said Jahzel cheerily and looked over to Barloke who hadn’t said anything yet “hey Bar, you mind flying to the next building over there?” Barloke looked at Jahzel curiously and said “what?” “Yeah” said Jahzel his smile a little strained now as Barloke didn’t understand “just fly over to the other building.” Barloke then got it, because he sighed and rolled his eyes while he said “fine.”  Both Bob and Jahzel watched Barloke as he walked over to the edge of the roof and with one leap sailed easily over to the other building across the street. Jahzel smiled lazily as Bob’s jaw dropped in wonder and amazement. “Oh my!” Bob exclaimed “I never seen anything like that!” Jahzel chuckled and said “well you can do that too you know.” Bob looked back at Jahzel and with a voice that was tinged with innocence and hope said “really?” Jahzel nodded and tapped the side of Bob’s head gently as he said “you just got to believe it up there my friend.” Bob nodded solemnly though his eyes were wide open “for now just jump to the next building and my friend will catch you” said Jahzel “what do you say?”  Bob licked his lips and thought about it and then with a trembling of excitement he said “I’ll do it!” Jahzel smiled and said “good! Ok get ready then.” Bob walked over to the edge of the rooftop and looked back once to say “thanks mister, you’re my new best friend” Jahzel smiled and nodded as Bob leaped off the roof screaming all the way down “I’m flyyyyyinnnnnnnggg!!!!!!!” Then a dull thump from below and with that both men jumped down to the streets and walked over to where Bob landed. As they approached Jahzel said “now that is a clear cut case of cement poisoning.” Barloke took out his phone as he nudged Bob over to his back with his boot and said “or massive deceleration trauma.” Jahzel chuckled as Barloke got the coordinates.  As both men walked away Jahzel said to Barloke “hey how does that song go? I believe I can flyyyyy...” “Oh you’re a regular comedian, a real Bob Hope you are…”

((ok just so we are al clear about this, this is rp for us. Honestly it's more like a project for me and a rather fun one at that. Alot of work is going into it. And for the record OOC-wise I have no problem with Tranque, Sieges or anyone else. We all have our styles of RP and I do respect everyone's manner of role playing. My whole take is that if your paying $15 a month, I would much rather be doing something than standing around all day doing nothing and complaining about it . Oh btw Sieges, hope you didn't mind me taking liberties with your "Transmission" to me I just thought it would be a kick to make it look real Matrixy! Heheheh. As far as the innocent "dead" as Barloke would quote in character "Here is the peace they couldnt find in life..." )
