I wasn't really sure where to put this, so sorry if it's already been discussed.. does anyone ever use constructs besides Zero One? Shaylynn and I have been in One Zero, but so far we haven't seen ANYONE in the /who, and I was kind of hoping to be able to run into random people there, and maybe fight. Or atleast kill things together. So well, if anyone wants to join us, I think One Zero is levels 26-35; Shay is 26 and I'm 31 (and she's try to outlevel me, bad Shay!). Also, is there a boss there? Because I haven't seen it yet, and I mean Tengu in Yuki was pretty obvious to find, is this one more subtle? Like, do we have to kill things for it to spawn? And finally.. what are the other constructs like? Have I missed the one that's all red tinted? And does Zero One look like One Zero? Sorry for all the questions, but I figured I might as well just ask away here incase there were other people wondering too. I'm a newb. =O

A FLYER Can you make me one? I want to throw some around for MxO. Requirements: - Must fit standard printer paper [8.5 in x 11 in] - Must be greyscale friendly [You can make it in color, but it will be printed in black and white, so make sure there's enough contrast] - Must not be ink heavy [I don't have photopaper on hand, so go easy on the images] - Must have proper spelling/grammar [Serious business.] - Must not use Times New Roman [I wage war against that font. Grr.] - Must not use copyrighted images [This makes it a bit tough - can't use any of the official logos and such unless you can get explicit permission to do so] Suggestions: You can make more than one, and that would be favorable, since there are a lot of different audiences to market to (adolescent, cyberpunk, casual, roleplay, college student, insomniacs, djs, whatever). Drawings would be cool. But make sure, if they're not yours, that you have the artist's permission. Maybe quote the movie, throw in some humor, or throw in some suspense. Have some fun.

Came across this really neat game. It's made fairly simply, but it does make you think. I'm currently stuck on level 17. http://think.axieblast.com/ Can discuss here, but don't give any answers. If you can figure out 17, halp me. 8| -- Here are the official hints from the AxieBlast forums: Level1: Look at the hint carefully and you will find the answer. Level2: Whats the inside of a webpage? Level3: Don't just look at here, look out of the "box" Level4: You do this many times in a day, think when will make all the texts black? Level5: Look at the URL and how does it relate to the hint? Level6: Hint: CSS Level7: How does this relate to the first thing you've learnt? (In this game) Level8: Look carefully at the letters and a word will jump out of it Level9: Flush what? Level10: Same, a word wil jump out of that bunch of letters. Level11: How are these two sites? (Hint: We made them, so we will think they are...) Level12: What's a leet hacker? Level13: What before "Soft Network" to make it a word that make sence? Level13: Look top in the levels you've passed. Level14: What do you do every morning? Level15: What do you need to do it every second? Level16: Uh, sorry no hints.. this is a basic-internet-knowledge. Level17: Break a hole in the webpage! Level18: Whats back in time? Level19: Before now is? Level20: What is that icon? Level21: It's not easy right? then it means..? Level22: Ralph's vocabulary! Level23: It's a company's name. A very famous one. Level24: Hints will be shown in a while.. soz.. Level25: The door is what and it made the key _________? Level26: You only have serveral of them everyday Level27: Something that is not used by pros. Level28: Numbers...Whats related to numbers? Level29: Word trick related to hardwares ^_^ Level30: What is that and what is the worst? Level31: It is only avaialable for that and those in the same family. Level32: What had came out 2007 and is black? Level33: It is a very useful when yours is too dark/light Level34: A series of numbers... wow... but you touch them everyday i swear Level35: The answer is given! Level36: Read the passage again and again and you will find the answer ^_< Level37: whats between a and z? Level38: You must seen that number like 2 years ago... something like that. But hold on thats a great number isnt it? (great as in big)

Merovingian preferred, but I'm not completely close-minded toward other organizations. IC-wise; My character pilots a small ship, agile but basically defenseless. She purchased the craft when joining The WolfPack, which was then called 'The Brotherhood of the Wolf'. Skip forward to the development of Abaddon. Wolfess hears rumors about Abaddon concerning a breakthrough in 'exile shells', which would permit exiles a body in the Real. She immediately sets out without notifying her faction, not wanting to be held back from this risky endeavor to take her defenseless ship to such a distance. Skip forward to her return 'home', where she finds the dock deserted. No sign of any of her faction's other ships. Skip forward a few weeks, she has given up on her search/wait for her fleet. Fearing for her safety in the real, covered neither by faction nor truce, she changes the position of her ship nightly. But she can only run so far... OOC-wise; I'm bored. Most of the people I roleplayed with have fallen off the face of the earth. They might have discovered something called "life" or "outside", but I don't know. So I'm looking for some people to roleplay with. I'm looking to interact with some people who perhaps have never roleplayed with me before, or atleast not often. So there you have it. I'll be here.

Since Alice in Wonderland has had much influence on the franchise, this isn't completely off-topic. http://www.feelgoodanyway.com/inter...ctive/Alice.swf Here is an interactive shockwave..thing.. as a promotion for a children's book, apparently. I don't know if that's really their audience. It's weird, so you'll probably enjoy it.

A blinding light met her senses, like a flashlight suddenly jerked into her eyes in attempt to boil her pupils as one would exploit a magnifying glass to melt an ant. She inhaled a sharp hiss of air, scolding herself for forgetting her weakness. She quickly shut the white pain behind the darkness of her eyelids and touched her fingertips against her forehead with a soft grunt, wishing to alleviate the throbbing headache that had taken hold. She leaned back against the door of the phonebooth--her body calculating the density, the temperature, the sound, faster than her mind could ever sort out, and concluding that the door was indeed made of glass. Her shoulder and the glass had hardly accepted one another before the surface was wrenched from her position. "Hey b*tch, move it!" The speaker forced a reaction out of her before her instincts had moment enough to devise one, roughly shoving her out of the way. Her reply caught in her throat as she stumbled forward, mind fighting for balance. Finally she regained her footing and the blank world uprighted itself, leaving her fury to cough on dust as her disembodied bully hurled away from her into the sky. Her body felt the loss of heat in the gravel, the fleeting wind against her skin, and told her when she was alone and safe--only then did she launch a stream of insults into the cursed empty air.

Perhaps one day you would like to visit our city... The words echoed tranluscently while the immeasureability of time crept by in the simulation. A lone warrior she seemed these days, lurking for endless hours upon the Vauxton turf--watching without seeing, sensing and hearing--these territorial, roaming exiles would no longer get the best of her, she would see to that. Day after day, hour after hour--she spent her time there, in safe distance, observing her newfound enemies. One of the gang members broke away from the others, crossing an imaginary line in Wolfess' mind. She crept forward and steadied her silenced rifle, pausing for further judgement of the target's location. She closed her eyes, though it wouldn't have mattered, but instinct instructed her to do so in concentration. She listened, body still and breathing hushed. Her focus sharp, the scuff of her target's boots clarifying in her ears. She exhaled slowly, directing the gun toward the noise--kkreee--her bullet wailed out into the still air. A well trained sniper would had scoffed at her attempt, but she was trying her very best. Dispite her use of a silenced gun, the bullet broke the silence, attracting the attention of both her target and two of his friends. ****. She couldn't jump away, and there was nowhere she could run without confrontation with a staircase. With a huff of fury she stood and fought, knowing she couldn't defeat them. Bullets came at her from three directions at once, confusing her judgement. Her shots became wild and desperate, all the while attempting to put the pain of burning lead to ease. It isn't real. It isn't real. It can't hurt me. It seemed real enough. She went down in agony, each bullet sizzling into her flesh. Blackness overcame the white of her sight, and she collapsed onto the hard pavement. - - - - She awoke in color, as much color as there could be on a dark ship in the lifeless Real. Her chest was heaving as the jack was jerked away from her head with mechanical indifference. She sat up slowly, taking in gulps of air as her eyes squinted--her mind slow to adjust to the sudden renewal of sight. Still panting and shaking like a lowly beaten dog, she lay for a moment, muscles twitching involentarily. Finally, her eyes adjusted and her gaze met the lapis lazuli eyes of her wolf-headed cane. It stared with blunt intensity, as if scolding her of her poor combat skills. Sorry, friend. I tried. She smiled appologeticly and swung her good leg onto the floor, bracing her palm against the head of the chair as she carefully lowered her other leg. It wasn't an issue of pain, but sheer stiffness. From that "leap of faith" that brought her to this reality, she was partially paralyzed on her right side. She shifted her left leg and reached for her cane, which lay in waiting on the side table. It greeted her in glum silence, and she gave one of its silver ears a little kiss before lowering the tip to the ground. She released her other hand from the chair and relied on her familiar tool for balance instead. Months ago, she would have been appauled at the idea of letting someone see her in this condition. However, after being inflicted with a sudden blindness that she prayed was temporary, she felt that her image in the Real was now her better half. Today is the day I will go. She gradually made her way to the front of the small ship, settling into the pilot's chair. She stared at the controls blankly for a moment before remembering a piece of paper in her pocket. She fished out the folded slip and held it with one hand, returning her other hand to the keyboard. She glanced between the paper and the screen, careful not to make an error in her co-ordinates. She placed the paper on the dash and engaged the autopilot. The small engine of the Domus coughed to life and electricity jumped the exterior pads. Wolfess checked behind her, just to make sure no one was nearby, before announcing: Whee. - - - - Several hours later her enthusiasm fizzled away and she conjured up a few bleak poems to pass the time. Eventually, she fell asleep with the notebook in her lap. Time lapsed more quickly then, until she was awoken by the chirp of the navigation system. She yawned into her hand before noticing the notebook, and tucking that away underneath the chair. She leaned up straighter and flipped a few switches on the control panel, at least pretending to know what she was doing. Finally she found the broadcast switch and leaned into the microphone, as her ship hovered into view of the domain. Captain Wolfess of the Lupus Domus.. requesting access to the City--Abaddon.

I'm usually too shy to post over here, so I'll just throw stuff in at once and run as quickly as possible in the other direction.
Large images by the way, since I don't really resize things. I also don't use photoshop, so I'm not cool like the rest of you.
In order of creation..
When my character was going to throw herself off one of the Kalt buildings.
 After finally defeating Tengu.
Just.. a street sign. International I believe.
Dedication to my first mate, he passed nearly month ago.
Wolf and Zampano, on her Morrell roof. A cinematic kind of moment.
This one I did today for Zamp.. a sweet yet dark moment.
-------
The end.

At long last.. I had lost track but I had wanted this for so long..so long, I'd forgotten why I wanted it in the first place. But when it was all said and done.. it felt wonderful. Everything happened. Everything..went right. Something happened when I felled the beast before me.. I felt happy.

* * *
Kinda funny that even though I was assembling a big team, it ended up just being Wolfess and Lynh. Big thanks to her. And it was also funny that my lack of preparation made for good strategy. I had forgotten to check my loadout, thinking I had spy loaded as always. But I get in there and I notice I can't use my abilities. Turns out I had patcher. Which actually.. worked like a charm.
I am now very proud to say.. that after four long months, I have finally leveled. Leveled the second we beat Tengu. Then I had a little frenzy of going around and killing things because I could. Didn't have to worry about xp anymore because I had leveled and I had leveled just the way I wanted to. If I died tomorrow, I'd be able to die happy. (Now, don't be getting any ideas.)
This friday I'm going to have a party.
Yes.. Wolfess + party? = MADNESS.
If you know my character you'll know where it'll be.
See you then.

Looking to take down Tengu, once and for all.
So far the team is
- WoIfess : lvl 25, Infiltrator
- NACRlN : lvl 17
- Zho : lvl 17
Not sure yet what the other two are going to use for loadouts.
Let me know if you'd like to join. Must be lvl 15-25. Any organization.
But be warned that it will be done in character. Yes, the evil evil sport that is roleplay.
Anyone who is impatient and just wants to omg kill kill kill pwn, then this mission is not for you.

[[Was inspired to start writing a bit...DAAAMN YOU ZAMP AND YOUR EVIL EVIL GANG OF FORUM JUNKIES!]]
“Are you really going to do it?” An overly energetic field reporter shoved a microphone in her face, nearly hitting her in the nose. Caitlin confirmed this with a look of disgust as she moved away. The reporter seemed thrilled by her misery, beaming into his notebook with a grin that spoke of promotion. “Hey—Cait!” A young man stumbled toward her from the crowd, cheered on by several of his rowdy friends as he approached her. A couple reporters swiveled toward the two, and the boy gave a jerky thumbs-up into the cameras. The eager gentleman from before exclaimed the word “lovers” and several other cameras joined the action. Fueled by the attention, the young man grabbed Caitlin roughly around the shoulders, forcing her toward him for a close-up. Cameras clicked everywhere for an unexpected picture as he doubled over in pain. Writhing on his knees, he was caught by a blow too quick for cameras; as Caitlin’s heel returned to the ground she continued with a deep scowl toward the building. Her boots clicked on the freshly waxed floor as she paced inside, immediately hailed by a police officer. “Careful M’am,” he choked out through his pastry. “Floor---wouldn’t want you to slip.” “Miss Ross to you,” she replied coarsely without slowing her steps, “Never will be old enough for you to grant me such a worthless title.” “Suit yourself, missy.” The sight of the officer was blackened as the elevator doors closed, finally freeing her from the obnoxious cheering of the crowd outside. Her eyes scanned the lucid buttons with bleak interest and she stood on her tiptoes to punch the topmost digit: 101. She then leaned back with a dreadful sigh, having to listen to the joyful music for what would be the longest minute of her life before the elevator chimed to a stop. Her heartbeat began to quicken as she stepped out onto the roof, the crying of people once again smothering her thoughts. She began to feel unusually dizzy as she made her way toward the end of the rooftop. “And now my life is supposed to pass before my eyes, right?” Caitlin chuckled nervously, apprehension clenching her throat to a whisper. She blinked her eyes shut for a moment, before spitting out the question she’d longed to ask: “What life?” The girl hoisted herself onto the edge with more energy, flashing a rare smile toward the crowd below as the uproar climaxed. She then positioned herself with care, as a professional swimmer would, upon her skyscraper diving board. Twisting her body to the side, she pushed off gracefully and sweet silence met her in a rush of wind. * * * *

This is it.
I 've made up my mind, haven't I? I told myself countless times that there were only two things I live for.
One.. was love. Something that my wretched hands will never touch again.
The other.. was home. Which..is rapidly crumbling.
It is ironic maybe..that I could only find love in a race that so detests me, and find acceptance in a race in exile.
Or maybe that isn't irony at all. It doesn't matter.
Nothing does.
Wolfess scanned briefly over the edge of the Kalt roof and shut her eyes just as quick. Rain, a dull fear, pierced her countless and mixed with her tears as she sobbed into the bleak nothingness of the wind. She gripped the rail with soaked gloves, keeping her eyes off the vaccuum of the ground, threatening to rush up and tear her down. A thought lumped though her mind and she reached out to grab it in apathetic curiousity.
I remember a poem..I read it once. Long ago. I was young, but.. The calm, cool face of the river Asked me for a kiss.
She drove her eyes back downward with greater resolve--but virtigo seized her and in the whirlwind of fear she was thrust forward--
I am afraid. Please don't let me die like this.
..Please.

The code reeling backwards through her mind, she snapped her eyes open and sat up in the chair. She was away from the nightmare, away from her so-called friends. Away from love, away from comfort. Away from her home.
The rejection was too much for her to bear. Another had touched her heart, gained her trust, and then ripped it out. Time and time again she had fallen for the same treachery---she thought it was in the past. To learn from the past is to not repeat it; yet she had set herself up just as willingly. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me fifteen times over..
There was no one in the world she hated right now more than herself. Her rage and desperation, fueled by the intoxication that had not yet left her body; she sought an outlet for her emotions. An outlet, quite literally.
Her eyes and mind fixed upon the jack chord, the wretched device that made a perfect scapegoat for her pain. Yes, it was because of this construction of currents and wire that her life was so miserable. Nevermind the good times.
With one leg propped up on the chair she extracted her right arm, hiking up her sleeve with the other. In a swift movement she reached across and unhooked the plug-in so that the jack chord hung freely. With no time for second thoughts, she jerked the wire closer, steading it for a moment with her left arm bend, ready to strike. Nevermid the agony, the painful crawl of time, as she proceeded to short the wire by driving the jack into her arm. Nevermind the tears that scorched the shuddering muscle of her wrist.
Wolfess smiled. She would be out of commission for a while.

Lupus Domus.
We are a Merovingian crew.
We
have come to understand that it is solely the Frenchman who drives
toward safety and freedom. The Zionites wish to tear down the Matrix.
The Matrix is our home. It is also the home of many Exiles, lost
programs that simply wish to live in peace. The Machines wish to delete
these Exiles. The Exiles are our allies. We
do understand that many of these exiles have become corrupted with the
despiration of survival, and have become hostile toward all humans.
However, we try to work with those Exiles seeking peace, to bring them
under the sanctuary of the Merovingian.
The
Lupines make up some of the strongest and most influential Exiles in
the Matrix. They are our main focus. We are working to befriend these
powerful programs and offer them safety. As powerful as they are, they
are also highly threatened by the Machine forces and have become
an enemy of the Zionites, so it is our job to try and protect them.
There is power in numbers. Perhaps you would like to join us.
I await your call.
//Wolf
[[Trying
again for some recruitment.. I am forming a merovingian crew on the
syntax server to join the faction The Brotherhood of the Wolf. They are
a well-known group who roleplay as lupines. I will be commanding the
first human crew among their ranks. Hopefully I can find some who's
like to be a part of this alliance.
I made a website
a while ago to put together my ideas on this group, but I am going to
be redoing it soon. Still, the information is all valid and if you're
interested, take a look and see what this is all about.
Any questions or comments, feel free to contact me via forums or in game (woifess).
p.s.
Please note that though this is a new crew, I have had this planned for
months and it is not some unorganised spur-of-the-moment thing. That
said, I need dedicated crewmates, who are experienced in the art of
roleplay.
Furthermore, even if you do not wish to join-- I am
always open for allies. Organization does not matter as long as there
is trust.
Good day for now.]]

I still have the first issue that came out.. and its still very
interesting. And I saw Walrus' name in the credits. Yay Walrus. He was
the Monolith Online Community Lead, and still doing a good job.
Anyway, I was wondering if they ever made more issues, or had plans to.
I really enjoyed it. It was especially interesting to read about the
selected beta testers.
Anyone know if they are still around?
-Sundog (founder of Radio Free Zion)
-Sandman (first to host a pvp tournament)
-Tbone (commander of The Furious Angels)
-Darbacour (she was the first to pwn Walrus, lol)
-ElghintheMad (veteran gamer; reported over 200 verifiable bugs and worked closely with the devs)
Anyone else get this magazine by the way? They even had a sketch of the assassin. Hm. The plot thickens.

I've had the hopes of forming a crew for a long time, and finally set myself to build up the experience I would need to do so. I made a website long ago to put together my ideas for a faction. If interested, take a look : http://lupusdomus.bravehost.com/My wishes are to form a casual roleplaying group under the Merovingian, with interests in protecting the lupine exiles. Anyone interested, feel free to contact me via forums or in game. (woifess) Take care for now.

I'm looking to develop a team to take to the Yuki archives. This area
is for levels 15-25. However the boss that I have seen is 30-something.
So obviously this is something good for teams.
I am :
Syntax Server
Merovingian
Level 24
Infiltrator/Rifleman
I am looking for any other Merovingians on the server that meet the
level range. I am only restricting organization because the archives
are divided as such.
Please let me know if you are interested.

What is the real difference or use for each? It seems to me that sneak is more for NPCs and invisibility is more for PvP.

I could have sworn there was a way to manually edit this file, maybe I'm wrong. I couldn't find any text files for it.
If someone knows how to do it, please tell!
