Gotta agree, as much as it was sometimes a pain to either get enough people together...and in some cases avoid the whole ninja looting scenarios, they were a lot of fun. And there was definitely a sense of achievement when you managed to get all the top items.

Anyways, back on topic...erm, Magneto sound interesting. Though, can't say i thought Batman Begins was all that special, was just another bland action film with a guy in a rubber suit...and Christian Bale is hardly the most emotive of actors, which was probably why he was ideal for Equilibrium, which incidentally was an enjoyable film. Only saw the first episode of the Blade series, which again, was kinda generic...but i don't know how it progressed.

I hope Magneto offers something more.

Did i miss it...where was Star Wars in that list? It's hard to pick out my fave sci fi films, but it usually comes down to cyberpunk for me....and if not, good story telling.

The original Matrix had everything i could ever want in a sci-fi/cyberpunk movie. Don't get me wrong, i still love the sequels, but the first was just something special. It was dark, atmospheric and had the perfect dystopic setting for the genre, it had jaw-dropping special effects too, but they weren't over used...and at the end it still left us with enough questions to keep us thinking, it didn't make everything completely obvious. Whereas the sequels kinda went in a different direction, probably so they could make the movie appeal to more people.

Blade Runner, again, awesome setting and a great story. Another dark cyberpunk film, and of course the directors cut with the superior ending...spot on. I loved Fifth Element too, almost sort of Sci-Fi with a twist, bright colours and a relatively unique story in what was a saturated genre.

No anime in that list either. There are some awesome sci-fi animes out there: Armitage III, Serial Lain Experiments, Ergo Proxy (again, all cyberpunky). And not forgetting Ghost in The Shell (both movies), Akira, Texhnolyze (a bit slow in places, but still an excellent series).

Bah, i could go on...Sci-Fi/Cyberpunk has to be my favourite genre of the lot, and when it's done well nothing beats it.

Wasn't the SF movie a comedy? heh. It was seriously poor, i hope the next one is a whole lot better. I never really got into any of the numerous sequels to SF2, but i played the original for longer than i can remember, oh how i hated Blanka.

Transformers movie has got to be high up on my list of old skool cartoon remakes to see, definitely looking forward to it, i've got some of the old comics around somewhere, should dig them out again.

Looking forward to Iron Man too, although if i'm totally honest, i had no idea they were doing a new movie until i read this thread. It's good to see so many of the old shows being redone...just as long as they don't ruin them in the process.

It's difficult catering for the masses, but something to promote a collaborative effort might be fun. We have lots of competitions pitting us all against each other....and although you could still do that, maybe a group competition would be good.

I really don't know how it might work (and i'm far too tired to really think this out well enough, long day typing up research SMILEY

), but maybe something for the artists and writers alike.

Maybe something like, a person creates the outline for a story and then someone illustrates it....maybe comic book stylee. This might then involve people ingame too, posing for shots and so on. I know it really only caters for the writers and artists, but i'm sure there are other things we can do to promote the whole team thing, allowing for participation from those that don't want or like to write or photoshop.

There was the collaborative projects a while back which were pretty cool...but again, it was all artwork.

I'm aware of the mouse over properties, and the bonus/status tabs, however it's not something i can do right now as i'm unable to get in-game. I was more wondering if there was an out of game resource i'm missing with this kind of information...moreso for if anyone else asks, i can point them in the right direction. It's always useful to know the source.

Scroll down a bit to a block of red text and there are fairly detailed descriptions...might give you a slight insight into what they do. Other than that, i might suggest you test them in-game.

Do a few duels, and keep an eye on your status/bonuses window see what each state does to your bonuses. Otherwise i'm not sure, and i'm unable to get in-game to check.

Yea, there are a few around...its just finding the ones that are updated frequently. Been a while since i've actually been able to get in-game, so haven't had to use resource sites for some time.

Strange, i didn't come across that error when i tested it..nor did the guys that QA'd it for me. Hey all, Sorry i haven't been able to post until now...i've been having some long term connection problems.

The drop down boxes are meant asa guide, for anyone that either doesn't have word, or is having problems with the controls used on the questionnaire, feel free to delete the relevant box and enter your answer in it's space. Not ideal, but i can work with the answers like that. For those of you that don't have word/office, but would like to be able to view and edit MS Office documents, you could always consider using Open Office as an alternative: http://www.openoffice.org (it's a free, open source Office Suite, just an idea for those that want it).

Sorry i couldn't provide a web based questionnaire Havocide, it was my first choice, and obviously the best option. However, i just haven't had the time to put one together and test it, the research i'm conducting is being done in a very short space of time....too much gaming, not enough studying on my part, heh.

Thanks to everyone that has completed and returned the questionnaire so far, despite the problems a few of you have had with the drop down boxes, been getting some good answers to the last couple of questions. If anyone has any problems with the questionnaire, feel free to email me...or pm (now that i'm back on the forums) and i'll help as much as i can.

As a lil reminder, the final return date for the questionnaire is this thursday, 26th April. I'll still take questionnaires after this date, though the 26th is the cut off for the 20mil info draw we will be doing this coming weekend.

Regardless of whatever happened; who killed who, when they were killed, how many it took, what loadouts they were using, how long the tower was held..(i mean...like any of that actually matters)...i had a great time yesterday. PvP all over 01, chasing people down, being chased down myself...there hasn't been this much going on in mxo for a long long time.

Holding the platform, taking the platform, losing the platform....it was all part of that fun. I know the rest of FH had a great time too. Thanks for the awesome pvp all, good times, look forward to more 01 goodness.

Some really amazing work in this thread, can't believe i overlooked it for so long. I haven't put pen to paper (with regards to artwork) for...well, years, and never have i transferred anything to a pc. So this is both a revisit to old stuff, and trying out new techniques....what can i say, this thread is inspiring, to say the least.

This might have already been mention/asked, but i haven't got the time to read through 8 pages just now, so here we go.

Maybe i'm missing the option, but i don't see anywhere to adjust the time settings. On most forums i use, i can adjust the time to GMT (+ 8 hours on the current time being displayed for posts), so the time at which posts are made are displayed in GMT format rather than PST. I don't see an option for it in my profile. It's only a slight annoyance but it would be nice to have this option again.

Again, sorry if this has already been mentioned or if the option is there but i'm missing it.

My favourite part of the game almost seems non existent now. In a time long past we had messages hidden all over the sentinal which related to other hidden msgs in billboards or fragments dropped by npcs (which gave a reason to kill the npc spawns).

Spawning a bunch of npcs (albeit fairly cool and challenging npcs) is not what i would call a live event. It might be a good point to note, i DO NOT enjoy chasing after a LET character through the streets only to have him dissappear at the end of the chase with a message from Tyndall telling us Anome has jumped away. Extremely weak. It reminds me of a Simpsons quote "thank you come again". Yes, chasing someone through the streets (and over roof tops is particualrly fun...ala The Assassin, one of my fave LET chars btw) can be cool and fun, but there needs to be something at the end, some substance to the event

No pay off, relatively no interaction from said character...and absolutley nothing we could do to hit him. Even if we could fire at him and miss all the time, i would be happier (not much, but a little).

Give us something to exercise our minds, The Matrix isn't all about brute force and i think this should be reflected in events....give us back our puzzles SMILEY

I'm really not a fan of WMV streaming tech, though there's not much movement in the new style cinematics you can still see a reduction in the quality of the videos.

An option to download the video to your pc would be a great addition to the new cinematic system. Giving us the option to stream or "download and watch".

"go go gadget edit button" ......unfortunatley the lack of an edit button means lots of double and even triple posting, which makes for untidy forums. Hope to see some kind of edit implementation soon. But an edit timer is definitely necessary, so i'm happy to wait for it.

Again, haven't done much PvE recently, until the introduction of the archive missions, however, I have to agree. Getting a mission NPC down to low health, only to have them roll out and instantly IL me again (or have another one IL you) is particularly annoying and not fun in any way.
