It always was 4 phoenix rockets. You needed 3 to kill skeeter.

Vanz wrote: Its now 4 phoenix shots not 3 Did you test it in the VR ?
The 22 burster hit count from the on-cont testing would suggest 5 phoenix shots needed for an unshielded/no benefit reaver. I ask because I got a lower number of required burster shots when testing in VR so it doesn't seem like an accurate representation.

What an odd occurrence, kudos to those that tested it and posted the information. That certainly sucks for the AA guys I guess. I de-certed reaver long ago, but this still kind of makes me angry with SOE. Meh. w/e. So many broken things.

May need to try for distance now. WE got 22 rounds at about 30 meters on Cyssor. I think netcode is the culprit as having a straight flying reaver at mid-distance seems to take 30 or more rounds, even knowing you're getting dead-on hits. If there is a distance factor added to the flak that would be kinda crappy as the round is not dependent on a kinetic hit but more contact triggering the flak explosion. If this is the case then the reaver should get its rocket damage nerfed for distance too(though that sounds screwy too as they are ROCKETS) Whats the Starfire and the NC AA add up to?

Rounds are certainly not detonating when in proximity to aircraft. Hit detection.

Did the cycler get nerfed? It seems weaker.

You are calling this a nerf for the TR ?
A bit of a stretch don't you think, given that higher reaver armour affects all empires, and the starfire is the only MAX that will find itself comming up short as a result.

Seriously, the buff really only affects the starfire, as it has to reload. The other AA MAXes will take more rounds to kill it, of course, but at least they don't have to reload. If anything, the reaver needed its rockets nerfed against infantry. An armor buff is the last thing it needed.

It already takes a full clip to kill infantry, less for adgile I know. And starfire is easy pickings for AA Quovatis, you know that

Yeah, but the reaver is good against everything already. It shouln't be the all-purpose airplane. It should be for armor, not infantry (mossie is for that). As it is, the reaver is very good at infantry, armor, and aircraft. It's a lib, mossie, and wasp all in one, and that's just BS. The mossie sucks against armor and the wasp sucks against everything but aircraft. Why should the reaver be good at everything?
