Hi...I'm very excited for the FF...But I have been looking up hotel reviews for this years FF. Its seems like 9 out of 10 are bad reviews.I have been told things are not so good at Ballys...( I dont blame this on Soe at all) I was just wondering if anyone has stayed there b4 and has a good review...In 2005 I stayed at the Hilton with the convention and had a great time...the room was a little under par...but I didnt spend much time in my room other than to sleep...2 years ago the convention was held t the Rio for $149 a night...I stayed at the Gold Coast for $39 dollars a night...had agreat room with a comfy bed and a flat screen tv. So I'm wondering about Ballys...most of my guild will be staying in other Hotels.Again...I'm just wondering if Ballys is the place to stay...

I stayed at Ballys 2 years ago and the rooms were fine. I had no complaints. I never stay in my room much when in Vegas so I dont have a indepth review.

I've stayed at Ballys several times over the years and have never had a bad experience. Well.. just one but it wasn't really anybody's fault. They duped a key on accident at the desk and some drunk came in at 4 am laid down on the bed with me. I don't know which of us screamed the loudest when I turned on the light. XD

ROFL. Remind me to deadbolt the door when I'm there.

I stayed there when the Fan Faire was at the Rio. I heard the same thing, but never saw any of it. Then again, don't fool yourself into thinking you need a sweet while you're there. You need a bed and a shower, that's it. You'll spend 90% of your time at the Fan Faire, with Fan Faire folks, or so drunk you don't care where you are.

I always use all the door locks when at a hotel, just in case something like this happens. The Twist "Lockout" lock, and the "Chain" lock.

15 or 16 days left by my count. I'm coming in on Thursday just in time for early registration. Then I'll meet & greet and hit the casino until the reception party that night. Feel free to say Hi and introduce yourself to me.. regardless which game you play. I will be blogging my entire trip on www.ZAM.com as will several others from the ZAM Network. Friday morning I'm going to be golfing.. but will be back to Bally's in time for the first set of Panels! Got two openings left to form a foursome if you want to drag your clubs with you. Just email me at spyderbite@allakhazam.com if you want to go shoot 18 holes with us on Friday!

Hubby and I stayed at Bally's this past February (just 4 months ago). It was plenty nice enough for us. Granted, I'm el cheapo and tend to go with inexpensive rooms when we travel so we can spend that money elsewhere, but it was clean, had a very nice bathroom, and plenty of room. The room we got then was a king room, and had a sofa with coffee table and a desk with two chairs, so we had space to relax and set up the computer (which we never did.)

Hotels almost always get more bad reviews than good, people are more apt to write a review if they're pissed off.
