One of the main problems is the apparent, shirking away from issues.
If certain people had the testicular fortitude to actually stand up to issues and deal with them head on, we might not be in this mess. However, people in certain positions of power seem to intent on sweeping things under the carpet, silencing people by banning them, using technicalities to lock and delete threads and hoping then that the issue will disappear.
We need issues to be dealt with. Not just ignored, if the issues are ignored, the game will suffer. Raijinn is a cool guy, no doubt, buuut he's got another game to deal with. Whether that has a detrimental effect on his overall effectiveness as a CRM for MxO or not I don't know...common sense would say yes, since he's more active in general as a CRM for Planetside. Does that mean he needs to be replaced? Thats not up to me...but if it's beneficial to the game to have someone else with more time, is that such a bad idea?
Some people have been banned for excessive negativity...but in all seriousness...what does that even cover? That description is pretty vague...it basically means "if you're saying things we don't like, we're going to ban you. No matter if it's true or not" And it's vagueness has been shown with certain peoples posting rights being taken from them when they get a little vocal about certain issues.
The MxO Community is still waiting for answers to questions and issues brought up in the following posts: http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300327731http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300327750http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300331050http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300331070http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300331077http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300331087http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300333994http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300334215http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300334351http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300335247http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/...098#36300339608 Our CRM Raijinn Joel Sasaki has declined to answer or address the issues and has temporarily banned players from the forums for their part in the discussion. This is an appeal to those who hold higher positions than he. We are falling into dire straights and need your help. Please, make this right.
Without offending or belittling your issue, you know you've linked the same thread like eleven times? Half the time it's not picking up the individual post, it just goes back to the OP.
Ok, so me being me, decided to contact a certain individual who's basically the top of the pile in terms of the whole Sony Online PR, so who knows what I'll get on a reply...
The person I emailed is Courtney Simmons, who's the Director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations.
She's basically as high as you can go save contacting the head cheese himself. The reason I emailed her is that she deals with all the PR stuff, and right now, we (the members of Matrix Online) are the public and our relations with SOE is getting very strained
Do I know if I'll get a reply, no. Do I hope to hear something, of course. Will I (and others) be happy with the (potential) reply? Who knows.
In terms of a quick side point, some of the links don't always jump directly to the post that the lovely gent above has linked. That's not his fault it's the wonderful forums
Good Luck, and may you all be successful
Man, am I glad I saw this thread. I was justs moments away from reactivating my subscription to check out this years Halloween event. But if this is the way the community is still being treated, then I simply won't bother. I hope someone near the top of SOE does something to help this community, it deserves far better than what it's had ever since SOE took on MxO. Sadly, I don't expect anything to ever happen. So, want to ban me for negativity too, instead of actually addressing the problems and removing the very reasons that are making your paying customers "excessively negative"? Just be grateful they are still your customers the way you are treating them.
Ah, the negative aspects of airing your game's dirty laundry in a public forum. They want more players for MxO, but then advertise the bad service they receive, and thus lose potential players and returning players.
MxO, wait it out. EQ had a bad slump for a bit when some community reps moved around, but recovered quickly.
