Star Wars has elicited volumes of fan fiction from all over the world. We all know that Star Wars Galaxies has a vast number of really talented writers who post stories daily.  Since we have such an abundance of talent on our forums, we thought we would draw it out and showcase fictional pieces created by our players.

Galactic Tales is a friendly writing competition that will be held every other Tuesday. Here are the rules for participation:

 -  A 500 word limit will be strictly enforced.  Any entries over 500 words will be disqualified (and removed from the thread!).

-  Each week, a different theme will be provided that your story will have to adhere to.  We want to see how well you can write with a little direction!

-  Each time a Galactic Tales competition takes place, only one story per person will be accepted

-  No Edits after 30 minutes of first post.

-  Every time a Galactic Tales is thrown, two threads will be posted here on the message board – The Galactic Tales Stories thread and the Galactic Tales Discussion thread.  You may NOT under any circumstances talk about or post anything other than your story in the Galactic Tales Stories thread.  If you do, your own story may be disqualified as a result (and your comments removed).  If you’re not participating but posting in the Stories thread, action by a moderator may be taken against you.

The winner of Galactic Tales will receive a special Galactic Tales forum icon  displaying their creative writing prowess to the rest of the community!

He Pulled Back A Worn Lever Which Had Been Used So Many Times Before And The Stars Enlongated Before His Eyes. He Closed His Eyes So The Spectacular Panorama Of The Jump To Lightspeed Wouldn't Blind Him And Started To Relax. Suddenly A Huge Explosion Rocked The Frail YT-2400 And He Opened His Eyes To See The Blinding Flash Of Hyperspace Conversion To RealSpace.

"What In The?! Dam Imperials!"

However It Was Not A Imperial Interdictor That Appeared But A Gargantuan Expanse Of Floating Rock Strentching As Far As The Eye Could See. Columbus Moaned. An Asteroid Field! Of Course He Had Taken The Route Which Travelled Past The Long-Deceased Aldeeraan!

A Small Asteroid Collided Into The Shield Generator, The Shield Generator Promptly Exploded In Protest And The Shield Controls On The Dashboard Flickered And Died.

"Uh Oh"

An Enormous Asteroid Suddenly Appeared, Hurtling At An Impossible Speed Towards The Defenceless Ship.

He Began To Pray.......
