Welcome to the bi-weekly Star Wars
Galactic Trivia Challenge. How is your knowledge of Star Wars canon? We will be
hosting this challenge every other Wednesday so you can test your knowledge
against other community members.

The rules are pretty simple, I will

The highly skilled Alliance agent Kyle Katarn infiltrated the prison facility, and freed Madine. With the backing of General Carlist Rieeken, Madine was accepted into Alliance ranks, and appointed a position in Mon Mothma's Advisory Council as Chief Military Advisor. His fresh perspective and Imperial insight provided the Alliance with many victories.

As commander of the Alliance Special Forces, General Madine often quoted his rules of war -- basic strategies that the Alliance used in ground campaigns. The first rule is "hit 'em where they ain't." Basically, this rule stated that the Alliance must never attempt to match Imperial forces strength for strength. The second rule is "attack the enemy's spirit." In short, the Alliance ground forces have a much higher morale than Imperial troops, and Madine encouraged Alliance commanders to take advantage of this. Rule number three is "use your brains." As most Rebel ground troopers receive their training in the field, not at the Academy, Rebels often resorted to unorthodox tactics.

As the Alliance transitioned to the New Republic, Madine kept active in the upper echelons of the military. He ascended to the rank of Supreme Allied Commander for Intelligence.

While holding this position, Madine went on a daring mission in the field during the Darksaber crisis, wherein unscrupulous Hutt agents attempted to wield power with a superweapon prototype. Madine infiltrated the Darksaber, but he was captured by Durga the Hutt's henchmen. They brought Madine before the loathsome gangster, and Durga killed the New Republic officer with a fatal shot from a blaster.

Thanks for the **edit** you’ve given us over the past couple of weeks. Now, we’d like to have you focus on some of the smaller pet peeve type bugs
that are bothering you. With that in mind, please switch gears moving
forward and try to give us some smaller scale ones (instead of some of
the ones you’ve already voiced to us like npcs shooting thru walls,
engines on POB ships, Mustafar graphics etc . . . ).

We’d like to ask that you post one bug that bothers you more than the others. Just one and only one. If someone else posts a bug that you were going to post feel free to still post it as your choice also.

With the Emperor’s death at Endor, many worlds finally seized the opportunity to break away from Imperial control. Though the emperor was dead, the Galactic Empire was not, as its military might still in firm control of most the core worlds including Coruscant. But the Imperial strength had largely rested in fear of the Sith Lords who controlled it. Now that they were gone, those who had despised being subjugated by the Galactic Empire took this opportunity to break away.

Naboo was one of the first systems to act as within hours of the emperor’s death, Queen Kylantha and Jar Jar Binks reunited their two races of people to oust the Imperial occupation of their world. Now in the palace of Theed, the lovely Queen Kylantha sat on her throne in triumph for soundly defeating the Imperial forces on her planet. Jar Jar Binks entered the massive double doors followed with the captive Moff Panaka dressed still in his red Naboo Security Force uniform. Two Gungans followed Moff Panaka closely with their energy pikes as there was a genuine desire among all the Gungans to place him under arrest for treason.

Jar Jar announced to her, “Weeza bringa da traitor to youza, my lady.” He then sat down in the smaller chair next to Queen Kylantha as she then gazed sternly upon him.

Panaka showed no remorse as he rebuked Jar Jar by saying, “I am no traitor. It is you Queen Kylantha who shall answer for what has transpired here today.”

Her face remained stern as she replied, “The emperor is dead Moff Panaka and the Galactic Empire died with him.”

“We will see.” Panaka replied as he actually believed the Empire would restore order and come to his aid.

Queen Kylantha did not hesitate in performing her duty as she looked upon Panaka and dictated to him, “I am placing you under arrest for high treason and for crimes against the citizens of Naboo.”

“You have no such authority as I am an Imperial Moff and not subject to your laws.” Panaka retorted as he crossed his arms in defiance.

“This is no longer a world controlled by the Galactic Empire Moff Panaka and as a citizen of Naboo you are subject to its laws.” Queen Kylantha enjoyed this moment as Panaka had terrorized her over the years with accusations of being a rebel sympathizer and even harboring Jedi. She had always feared that she would mysteriously die like Queen Apailana which had forced her to cautiously support the Alliance factions on Naboo. Now with victory belonging to the Alliance and the Imperial subjugation no longer on her world, it was time to make Panaka an example to all her citizens who may still be loyal to the Empire. She would have him prosecuted by her highest courts and place upon him the harshest sentence her courts would allow.

She no longer wished to look at him as she ordered, “Take him away!”

Star Wars
has elicited volumes of fan fiction from all over the world. We all know that Star Wars Galaxies has a vast number of
really talented writers who post stories daily.
Since we have such an abundance of talent on our forums, we thought we
would draw it out and showcase fictional pieces created by our players.

Galactic Tales is a friendly writing
competition that will be held every other Wednesday. Here are the rules for
participation:

- A 500
word limit will be strictly enforced. Any
entries over 500 words will be disqualified (and removed from the thread!).

-
Each week, a different theme will be provided that your story will have
to adhere to. We want to see how well
you can write with a little direction!

-
Each time a Galactic Tales competition takes place, only one story per
person will be accepted

- No Edits after 30 minutes of first post.

-
Every time a Galactic Tales is thrown, two threads will be posted here
on the message board – The Galactic Tales Stories thread and the Galactic Tales
Discussion thread. You may NOT under any
circumstances talk about or post anything other than your story in the Galactic
Tales Stories thread. If you do, your
own story may be disqualified as a result (and your comments removed). If you’re not participating but posting in
the Stories thread, action by a moderator may be taken against you.

Factors in judging will include
spelling, grammar, story flow, character development, plot, and how well you
stick to the theme.

The winner of Galactic Tales will
receive a special Galactic Tales forum icon diplaying their creative writing prowess to the
rest of the community!

So get those creative writing juices
flowing…we look forward to seeing what Galactic Tales you come up with!
