The Galactic Showcase puts the most creative storyteller events and player structures from all galaxies on display.Welcome to my chateau, my home, and my achievements. This is a brief story about my home.  It lies in Outmian Yakta on Tatooine on the Chimaera server.  It has taken me many hours to construct all this decoration changing and adapting it.  I have spent about 50 hours perfecting the décor to the best of my ability.

 We are proud to announce this year's Players of the Year! The team had the torturous task of trying to choose the best out of all the entries that were submitted. It's always a tough job, since we've got so many deserving and creative players.

Because of credit spammers.

In the beginning of the search tool going live there was alot more available through search (logs will very likely verify that). Since players where getting tells that originated from the search tool abused by credit spammers, the only way to avoid those was remove themselves from the search results.

A handy solution that pretty much renders the purpose of the search tool void. I would imagine that once a solution to that problem is found, you'll have alot more going back to being searchable, but right now players are frustrated about those spammers.

If you are referring to /anon though, I have no clue.

Ah okay.  I'm going to research this a bit more. Thanks for letting me know!

Looking over the two winners, they have played many of our games.  I don't recall for sure but I believe one of them use to SWG!

When we first started Player of the Year a couple of years ago, the original plan was to do it that way, however, due to restrictions we were faced with, we had to reduce the number of winners. 

However, we will keep it in mind for future contests.

Wait you own...Maybe not fully SWG but still what can make you guys not use the system that is presented above that would cause problems?

When I say restricted, I mean restricted via contest rules not other limitations.  Generally, when we have restrictions is related to prizes and how we can award them.

Can't wait to get back playing more often.  I want to move my character to a new server and start decorating some windowed homes!  Grrrr!

Unfortunately, I can't install anything on my laptop, it only has an 80gb hard drive. There's no room left 8(

We shared this news to all of our game communities to congratulate the two winners. The contest was open for submissions from all games. There were only two winners for this year's contest and it just happens to be these two - just as in a previous year we ended up with 2 SWG players!

For this Friday Feature we wanted to give a great send off to a wonderful asset to our Star Wars Galaxies community by featuring Zatozia the Tortures. She has been a wonderful help to me while learning my new role. As a farewell to the community, she wanted to share some fun stats that surrounded her birthday in April.

The Galactic Showcase puts the most creative storyteller events and player structures from all galaxies on display. JT's Crib was started back in 2005 when he first started playing SWG. Since then, he has tried to keep it up by collecting various items, rares and keepsakes from journeys throughout the years.

Hey there,

Excluding neutrals for the contest was not intentional.  We wanted to keep the contest similar to last year's to avoid any confusion and to get it up and running sooner rather than later.  Unfortunately, the contest has already been underway and is ending on Monday so it cannot be changed now due to legal reasons.

I'm actually in charge of promotions like these for the SOE Community Team and have lots of official contests, community forum challenges and the like planned. I will try my best to make sure neutrals get included in future ones if able.

Having a neutral character myself, I must admit I'm really embarrassed that I didn't notice the oversight myself.

Hang on to it.   I'll be running a few forum challenges for the 6th Anniversary too. While it won't have the same rewards, it will be just a fun to take part in! They won't start until June though.

Yeah, that's how it's usually done.  Unfortunately, the one planned for this week fell through so I had to do a different one.  We already have ones for the next few weeks though.  Just not today.. yet.  I'm crossing my fingers though.  I have the button ready to push!
