It is with a heavy heart that I make this, my final post. Today is my last day with SWG and SOE and I wanted to thank each and everyone of you for your support while I was here. A couple of weeks ago I received an offer from another organization and after much discussion with my wife, I accepted.

I've enjoyed my time on Star Wars Galaxies and the community we have built here. I have worked hard to represent the community to give you the best possible experience here on the forums and I tried to bring you the best features to our website.

I wish all of you well and may the Force be with you!

That's not the developers fault, it's mine. I write the copy for the loading screens and I guess after I edited that sentence I left in an extra word or two. Please flame me and not them.

P.S. Every game ever made has a typo somewhere in it. It drives me crazy when I see them too, but it's just sort of part of the business. Even your beloved holy grail game made by the other company that's constantly cold, has typos.

I really tried hard to make sure that was not the case when I was a Senator.  If anyone posted a thread in private that wasn't just boring senate business and was related to gameplay, I'd get a mod to move it to the public forum or ask that it be reposted in public.

Transparancy is key in representation.  You were only in the Senate for about a month, were you not ponaif?  I understand Dev communication with the Senate has tailed off recently, one thing I noticed when I retired was that I didn't check the Senate forums much anymore, I prefer to catch up with the latest babble on GPD and this is what I think the Devs tend to do.

Without a Community Manager to collate all the Senators **edit** there is more chance that it will not be heeded.  Hopefully that will change when the new CM is appointed.

With regards to the [Update Needed]: Artillary Strike, check the Top Five Officer Bugs/Issues. posted on the Officer forum.

Second on the list is: "Artillery Strike popup box - very annoying (especially in tusken instance where it overwrites important popup messages), remove it or give an option to turn it off. "

If you have any other suggestions for issues that should be on that list, that's where you should post them.  What the Officer Senator is doing by reposting this issue in its own thread on the Senate forum is trying to get a bit of extra attention for this issue in the hope that it can be fixed quickly "out of band" from any specific Officer update.

It's quite a smart move really, but given the current absense of a Community Manager the timing might not be quite right.  You never know though, he could get lucky.

We have a CM currently, her name is Zatozia. We have continued to pass **edit** from Senators to the development team and there has yet to be any drop in service there. You're right in your explanation of what the senators do but you're wrong in your assumption that because Valara isn't here any more, the **edit** isn't being given to the team. Zatozia works on a weekly basis getting the info needed to the team, and I work every day to make sure important topics and threads are seen by the right people.

Please note that the following note has been added and was included in Hotfix 9.1:

Hey here's some behind the scenes info:

My favorite part of writing the Friday Features is trying to come up with a good title. I don't actually care for 80s soft rock, but there are a lot of songs have fit what I've been writing about and enough people will recognize them to make it funny. (Also, I like to see the devs and Lucas' reactions to when I submit the features for review...) There have been a few times when I've titled a feature something that only me, someone with my interests, or my family would understand. (A good example: Being an obsessive Disney/Pixar fan, I always try to find a way to work that in...It just happens "To Inifinity and Beyond" fit the pilot feature perfectly.)

So now you know! I try to get in a good popular culture refernce as often as I can. It amuses me.

Game Update 10 features brand new improvements to the player versus player experience. Brand new battlefields will allow players to take on one another with all new functionality!
