Very awesome to hear. Unless you're going for some crazy 32 speaker (exaggerating a bit) surround sound support or have a professional job involving sound/music, that should be good enough!

FRAPS always works well for a taking screenshots through alternate means. But yes, most MMOs nowadays usually have a built in screenshot function as to avoid such hassle. Glad to hear you're all set, though!

Regrettably there is no better fix as of this time. But I would certainly like to be made aware of any negative consequences of installing DirectX 9.0 with DirectX 10. As far as I've seen when running tests with the 9.0c installer - it merely adds particular 9.0c files to the batch and overwrites nothing essential to any other programs running efficently. Many games created before the rise of DirectX10 require that 9.0c be installed with Vista in order to play them. But, if you've noticed any games or programs that ARE affected by this method. Please let me know and I can pass along the word!

A download of the remaining patches after a disc install will be around 20gb, give or take a gig. Hopefully you're able to squeeze in if you have a bandwidth limit!

Hmm. Your install of the game may have gotten corrupted but I can provide a few very possible fixes depending on your OS. Might you be using XP or Vista?

Thanks for telling, I usually know what I'm doing when messing around with the .ini files , been at it for a few years now .
If all else fails, you can always keep a pre-modification copy of the file elsewhere on your system!

Any pending authorizations on your card created from unsuccessful billing attempts will certainly not complete. At a time specific to your bank, those holds will clear off and be placed back into your available funds. As for why the card was not being taken, I would recommend contacting our Chat, E-Mail,or Phone support for the best assistance.

Aye, these are all great suggestions but RAM is a great way to go with any performance boost. Vanguard is very CPU intenstive as well, but there shouldn't be any tremendous bottlenecks if those two are set along with a decent and healthy HD.

Glad to hear it! It IS a bit of an odd issue though. If we can pinpoint a specific combination of circumstances/items used to cause this to happen, I'm certain I can get a report sent in to the necessary persons. If you two can work out a theory, I'd love to hear it as well.

Hey there! Station Launcher, regrettably, currently doesn't cooperate very well with wireless connections. I would recommend, if possible, to hook your system up on a wired connection temporarily to patch the game. Also, a more of a basic advice fix would be to make sure that very few if any programs are running in the background while the launcher is patching.

Sorry for the late response! When the game crashes, does it give you any sort of error or just close out to the desktop? It would certainly help the situation, otherwise there a few things I can recommend as overall fixes. Placing the DxDiag and MSInfo information from our 'Read before posting' thread would also help!

It sounds as if there may be a background application interfering with the gameplay or a part of the Vanguard UI that's going haywire. Could you try deleting the following files so the Vanguard UI can re-download? -- You may want to delete vgclient.ini, vgclient.dll, default.ini and vgclient.exe located within the Bin folder in the Vanguard directory. To do this, please follow these directions: 1. First look for your Vanguard directory. By default it should be C:\Program Files\Sony\Vanguard. 2. Next, click the Bin folder and delete: vgclient.ini vgclient.dll default.ini vgclient.exe caches folder VGUIAssets folder from the main Vanguard directory 3. Afterwards, please run the Vanguard to have these files recreated by the launch pad. --

It definitely does occur when the game is being run under under low quality graphics settings in conjunction with older graphics cards. Newer armor, though, I should probably report to the necessary team. Which sort of graphics card might you be using?

You certainly lose a layer of protection you normally would have. But viruses generally aren't waiting to pounce systes as soon as the shields are down (so to speak) - It's certainly worth a shot to try and you can stilll place Norton back on your system should it have no effect.

Sorry for the late response! The launcher download speeds are pretty dependant how many people are also downloading from our servers as well, so you might get great or not-so-great speeds depending on if you're downloading during a patch day or during peak times. It also can get some slowdown if you're downloading through a wireless connection. Though it may not be a case anymore as your download probably has finished already - otherwise, please let me know!

It sounds like an issue with installing the game in the way it wants to. Which operating might you be using? Moonwood: Do you still have that issue? It sounds like graphics driver conflicts - have they been updated recently?
