Machine Communiqué re: Morpheus

FM: Hovercraft Odyssey /// To: Zion Command
We intercepted this and translated it. Looks like Morpheus has been up
to his usual tricks. I know you won't be any more surprised than I was.

FM: Zion Command /// To; Hovercraft Odyssey
You're right about that, Ty. I'm not surprised at all. Morpheus is
playing games with all our lives, and I appreciate you letting me know
the extent of the damage. I will take action to ensure he is stopped
before he brings disaster on us all.

Email from Lock

OFFICIAL ORDERS -- ZION COMMAND
ISSUE AUTHORITY: LOCK, COMMANDER ZION FORCES
It has come to the attention of Zion Command that Captain Morpheus has defied ordered and carried out unauthorized operations that threaten to disrupt the current Truce agreement. I hope I do not have to tell any of you how dearly we paid for this Truce, or how fragile and valuable it is to us. With that in mind I am ordering the following:

* Captain Morpheus is to be considered a renegade.
* He is to be taken into custody at first opportunity and returned to Zion.
* If he resists, handle with extreme prejudice. All force is authorized.
* Anyone cooperating with Morpheus will also be charged.

So Ordered: Jason Lock, Commander Zion Forces

Email from a Disaffected Redpill

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT (female caller's voice): Hello, Tyndall. I hope this old dead drop number still works, for both our sakes. This is Danielle. I know you'll recognize my voice. There are new Agents in town, different somehow. Since the Truce I've been seeing them, and they're way too interested in the hardlines. You need to have somebody look into this. That's all I'm giving you, but it should be enough. Goodbye.

Military Report to the General

To: The General
From: PsyOps, Section Beta-One
In response to your request for a summary of results so far, here are my
condensed recommendations. First, humans are inherently suspicious and
mistrustful of others, even each other. In spite of the fact that this
attitude is exactly what brought calamity upon the entire planet, they
continue to exhibit it. Secondly, they have a wonderfully useful ability
to twist any information they find in order to make it serve the above
purpose. Providing encouragement for this paranoia is the most effective
way to initiate new hostilities.
