*This happened yesterday. I was helping St4r and Ark when I recieved a call from PvtMorris. PvtMorris, if you all remember, is a commando we all impressed with our organizational skills not long after Niobe introduced them.
PvtMorris asked me to meet with him at Tabor North. At first I thought it was for just more training, so I prepared myself to assist. However arriving I found it much different. A group of roughly eight of us met up around PvtMorris. Morris instructed us to find a a secure location, away from prying ears and those who seek to kill the General's commandos.
We took the subway system to Kedemoth, and met on the roof just outside Club Duality. PvtMorris explained that it was a dangerous time for the commandos. The Merovingian had developed a weapon capable of instantly killing the commandos. The weapon had already been used against one of PvtMorris' platoon mates. He never told us which commando though, even after being asked several times.
PvtMorris told us he had been sent by the General on a mission with two objectives:
1) Acquire one of these EMCP (Electro-Magnetic Code Pulse) devices.
2) Return a field test report on the weapon's capabilities.
I instantly told Morris I could complete the first objective for him. I called my contact in the Merovingian's organization, a Zion operative undercover. She agreed to give me 5 of the devices to play around with.
Upon collecting them I returned to PvtMorris in Kedemoth and handed one of the devices over. PvtMorris was greatful, but now asked we try to complete his second objective. Someone suggested we test the EMCP devices on one of the commandos at the General's helipad in Morrell. Morris agreed, so we headed off and took the subway right to Morrell.
PvtMorris was escorted to the helipad itself. Seraneth, one of Zion's liason officers from the Logos II, joined us there too.
After getting Seraneth up to speed with what was happening, we went ahead to conduct the field test. The commandos at the helipad assigned one commando to be the subject to our test.
Everyone moved out of the way, leaving myself infront of the lone commando. PvtMorris was ensured to be well out of the EMCP's radius.
I activated the EMCP device. Nothing. The commando still stood unharmed. Then I noticed PvtMorris. Something was wrong with him, and he was loosing connection to the Matrix. Eventually it evened itself out. Even at PvtMorris' distance, he was still effected.
Confused by why he was affected but the other commando was not, PvtMorris looked around the device and found several buttons needed to configure the device. We determined the device was not properly configured and we'd need a Merovingian operative to test it.
At this point PvtMorris formulated a plan to get a Merovingian operative to test it. However my shift was long over and I was required to return to the Omnicron. I bidded my farewell.
Today I did a followup with Seraneth.*
Romav: Seraneth, hey. Was just wondering if anything else came from the testing of the EMCP devices yesterday? Did PvtMorris get a Merovingian operative to test it out?
Seraneth: Yes, and he got the intel he needed.
Romav: Did the commandos drop from the Merovingian's EMCP device?
Seraneth: It did not kill the commando, but it severly damaged the program and depleted almost all of its health.
Romav: Understood. Not good for us, but at least we now know its capabilities.
Seraneth: With some tinkering, I am sure its potential can be magnified.
Romav: Yes, however with our alliance with the commandos we don't particularily want the Merovingian to have a weapon which can quickly eliminate them all...
Seraneth: Which is why our scientists will be the ones to tinker with it. Not them.
Romav: Understood. Turn their new weapon against them. Excellent.
Seraneth: Exactly!
Romav: Thanks for your time Seraneth. Glad to hear PvtMorris' mission was a success.
