Zion Reseacher

The Camon Heights Researcher, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

I'm sure you've heard all the stories, about unusual Agents seen lately. Sometimes they're carrying these PDAs with little red lights. If you come acrss any, report back to me! I need to check'em out.

After handing over a PDA

Nice work, soldier. I'll get these to the lab ASAP. Meantime, get us more! We need all the evidence we can get.

The Sobra Shores Researcher, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

You seen any of those PDAs popping up around here? They have little LED lights on 'em, and they don't look... well, quite normal. You'll know 'em if you see 'em. Anyhow, bring 'em back to me and I'll make sure they get checked out by our tech guys.

After handing over a PDA

Nice one. The guys in the lab will go nuts over this. Listen though, they've sent word that the need more. A lot more. And we'd like to figure this out before the Machines or the Merovingian, 'kay? Now get back out there, soldier!

The Kaede Researcher, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

I'm here to collect PDAs. The weird ones, with the red lights on them. If you see any, any at all, bring them straight here so we can get a good look at them.

After handing over a PDA

Hey, great work. I wonder what's so important about these... well, anyhow, the top brass say they want as many of these as possible. Time to get back out there!

The Edgewater Researcher, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

Okay, here's the scoop: we need PDAs, and we need lots of 'em. You'll recognize the ones we want on sight; they've got little red lights on 'em. If you find any of those, I need you to get 'em back to me ASAP.

After handing over a PDA

Very nice. No time to rest, though... we need you back out there, finding more of these! They're important somehow, and the only way we'll find out why is through your efforts!

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins

I need to know if you're a true supporter of Zion. If so, we need all the help we can get. Some new things are turning up around the Matrix, and we need to keep up to date. Now get out there and bring 'em back to me!

After Chapter 4.1 begins

Zion high command has authorized us to compile these kill codes for you. Get me one of these disks and I'll set you up with the codes.

After trading the Weapon Codes

Use 'em carefully, soldier. These kill codes do a real number if you use 'em on the right Exile... that's what I've heard, at least.

Machine Investigator

The Mara Investigator, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

We are very interested in the PDAs carried by these imposter Agents. These PDAs are identifiable by the small red LED lights on them. Should you find any of these objects, report immediately to me.

After handing over a PDA

Interesting. It may take some time to analyze these items. Continue your collection; additional examples of this technology will speed the research process.

The Southard Investigator, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

The imposter Agents pose a particular problem for us. Their movements must be tracked. If you find any of their PDAs, bring them immediately to me for investigation. You will recognize them by the tiny red lights mounted on their surfaces.

After handing over a PDA

Very perplexing. We had not expected to find anything of this particular nature. We need more of these items for analysis. Proceed immediately.

The Ikebukuro Investigator, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

The strange PDAs carried by the imposter Agents may possess some clue as to the true nature of the imposters. The PDAs are recognizable by their small red LED lights. If you find any of these objects, do not hesitate. Bring them directly to me.

After handing over a PDA

Excellent. Analysis shall begin at once; meanwhile, you must gather further examples. Haste is necessary.

The Maribeau Investigator, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

PDAs carried by the imposter Agents will help us to determine the origins of said imposters. Your task is to bring the PDAs to me. Make haste; it is imperative that the Machines uncover their true nature before the other organizations do so.

After handing over a PDA

Your samples will undergo immediate analysis. There is no time for rest. You must collect more PDAs and bring them to me.

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins

Certain items of interest have begun appearing recently. It is vital that you locate and obtain these items, and bring them to me. If you are a true supporter of the Machines, this service will benefit both of us.

After Chapter 4.1 begins

Some enhanced kill codes have been reported recently. If you find any of these items, bring them to me and I will compile the kill codes for you.

After trading the Weapon Codes

Use these kill codes carefully. They will do enhanced damage against the appropriate Exile target; used against any other program, they will be essentially worthless.

Merovingian Analyst

The Apollyon Analyst, Before "The Race to Find The One" begins

Have you any PDAs? I don't care about them unless they are covered in bright, shiny red lights! That's what I like, it is... and I need you to bring them to me!

After handing over a PDA

Oh, very pretty... very pretty indeed... but you must bring me more! We musn't let the pesky humans or the Machines get them first, now, must we?

The Gracy Heights Analyst, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

The Merovingian demands access to PDAs, the ones bearing red lights. If you happen upon any of them, please do bring them by for me to look at. Doing otherwise might prove to be... uncomfortable.

After handing over a PDA

Oh yes, these are very interesting, are they not? I need more. I'm sure you have your methods; pursue them.

The Sai Kung Analyst, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

I am here on behalf of the Merovingian himself, to gather examples of the PDAs carried by these... "unusual" Agents. The PDAs are unmistakable; they have tiny red lights all over them. If you find any such objects, come directly to me. No one else. Understood?

After handing over a PDA

Ah, you have done well today. The Frenchman will be pleased. He will be more pleased when you bring me more. And you will, won't you? I hate to be disappointed, and so does he.

The Chelsea Analyst, before "The Race to Find The One" begins

I believe you've heard of these Agents lately, acting strangely? Some of them carry PDAs with strange red LED lights. If you find any of these items, I want you to bring them straight to me. No dallying, understood?

After handing over a PDA

Ah, this shall keep me occupied for some time. What secrets are burried within? While I am studying this, you must bring me more. And keep them out of the hands of those insipid Zionites, if you can. We deserve these more than they!

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins

The Merovingian makes it his business to know everything that goes on in the Matrix. This is a time of great changes. If you truly are loyal to our cause, then bring me these little tidbits. Neither you nor I shall be disappointed.

After Chapter 4.1 begins

EMCP... you should know what that means by now. Give me the disk of codes and I'll compile you a little batch.

After trading the EMCP Codes

Careful with those; they're quite effective. Just activate one, and you'll send out a code pulse, disabling any commandos within range. Use them wisely. The Merovingian doesn't like to see his resources wasted.

Shared dialogued from the Organization Collectors

Requirement Sets 2 and 10

Exchange all twelve [Org Name] chapter 1 through 4 mission completion tokens for a special [Org Name] clothing item.

Requirement Sets 3 through 9, 11, 14, and 15

Exchange all nine chapter [number] mission completion tokens for a special reward item.

Requirement Set 12

This version of the War Sword is adjusted to fit large male body types more comfortably.

Requirement Set 13

You can trade the large male version of the War Sword back in for the regular version.

Requirement Set 16

Exchange the six chapter 11 mission archive completion tokens, plus the first chapter 11.3 mission ticket, for a special reward item.

You'll need to get the 11.3 ticket from your organization's 11.3 collector in west Hampton Green.

After trading for Requirement Sets 2 and 10

Even though the style of that item is organization-specific, members of all organizations can wear it.

After trading for Requirement Set 3

Careful with that thing! When you use it, it'll set you on fire with the Flame Virus--just like used to happen a lot way back when, except that this version is benign, and won't spread to anyone else, or cause damage.

After trading for Requirement Set 4

Careful with that thing! When you use it, it'll give you the Assassin's old Fly Virus, just like used to happen a lot way back when--except that this version is benign, and won't spread to anyone else, or cause damage.

After trading for Requirement Set 5

Use that to get a miniature version of the Assassin's old death cloud effect to follow you around for a little while. It looks dangerous, but it won't hurt anything, as long as you son't mind leaving a train of dead flies behind.

After trading for Requirement Set 6

Use that item to give yourself a special blue headlamp for a while. Remember when the Sleepwalkers tried to bluepill everyone with their blue spotlight beams? It's kind of like that, only head-mounted, and harmless.

After trading for Requirement Set 7

Use that item to make green code drip from your eyes for a while. Remember how Anome's Unlimit soldiers had code dripping from their eyes due to the cheat codes they used? It's kind of like that, only temporary, and without the destructive side effects.

After trading for Requirement Set 8

Use that item to give yourself a red laser trail on your right eye. Remember how the General's Elite Commandos had night vision goggles with a glowing red lens? It's kind of like that, only temporary, and it doesn't actually help you see better.

After trading for Requirement Set 9

Use that item to cause gold code to drift up from your eyes and shoulder blades. It's like the effect you could see on Seraph after he was infected with the cheat codes in the Aqueduct, but it only lasts for a little while.

After trading for Requirement Set 11

Use that item to mount a sheathed war sword on your back. You can't actually start swinging it around, but it still looks pretty intimidating. Large males may want to exchange it for the alternative version, which is adjusted to their body size.

After trading for Requirement Set 12

If you change your mind, you can always trade that one back in for the regular version.

After trading for Requirement Set 13

You can exchange them at any time.

After trading for Requirement Set 14

Use that item to create a small wireframed ball that spins around your RSI for a little while. It's sort of like a friendly, miniature version of the "intruder" and his overrider codes.

After trading for Requirement Set 15

Use that item to give yourself a flowing black scarf, sort of like the ones worn by the female ninja in the Sati's Playground archive construct.

After trading for Requirement Set 16

They say that all the override activity from Wright and those Oligarchs has left some...residual effects. Most of them are probably harmless.

Slice, the NPC next to the Zion Researcher in Camon Heights

Chapter 1.2, I believe

Keep an eye out for hacked hardlines. We don't want to lose anyone to the tampering that's going on.

After Morpheus' death, and if you're a Zionist

Of all the nerve... the Frenchman is going to suffer for his part in Morpheus' death! After we've dealth with his lackey, he'd better find the deepest, darkest hole to hide in...

After the Assassin's death, and if you're not a Zionist

I have nothing to say to you, traitor.

Tweak, the NPC next to the Zion Researcher in Sobra Shores

After Morpheus' death, and if you're a Zionist

All of our efforts have to focus on the Assassin right now. Talk to Tyndall if you haven't already.

After the Assassin's death, and if you're not a Zionist

You have to come back to us! Every threat to the Matrix proves we need all humanity fighting as one, just to survive!

Raxx, the NPC next to the Zion Researcher in Kaede

Chapter 1.2

Don't forget about those hardlines. They're still getting hacked and tampered with. We had an incident just yesterday... Bottom line: be careful out there.

After Morpheus' death, and if you're a Zionist

We've got orders straight from command, soldier. If you see any strange pamphlets around the City, bring them to a superior immediately.

After the Assassin's death, and if you're not a Zionist

The Assassin's down, and we're taking down the Frenchman next. You'd better stay out of our way, if you know what's good for you.

Annarchy, the NPC next to the Zion Researcher in Edgewater

Chapter 1.2

Something's going on around garbage dumps, sewer facilities, and storm drains... it's weird, and we don't know exactly what it is. Keep your eyes peeled.

After Morpheus' death, and if you're a Zionist

The black helicopters may seem very interesting right now, but we have to focus on the Assassin. Don't let them distract you.

After the Assassin's death, and if you're not a Zionist

Zion needs you now more than ever, friend. We'll welcome you back with open arms.

Shared dialogued from the above NPCs

After the Assassin's death, and if you're a Zionist

The Assassin is dead! Morpheus has been avenged! This is a bittersweet time, operative. We have to stay focused. In every shadow, around every corner, there might be another threat to Zion, even greater. We have to be ready to defend humanity!

After chapter 8.1 begins, and if you're a Zionist

The Machines have declared war, operative. They'll destroy us and Zion if we let them, and with us, the only hope humanity has for real freedom. We can't let that happen.

Hunter, the NPC next to the Machine Investigator in Mara

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins, and if you're a Machinist

Be alert for any posters placed illegally by the misguided human, Morpheus. His activities threaten the stability of the Matrix.

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins, and if you're not a Machinist

Carry on about your business, human. There is nothing to see here.

Porretta, the NPC next to the Machine Investigator in Southard

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins, and if you're not a Machinist

If you have had any dealings with the program known as "The Assassin," you will be fully investigated, human.

After chapter 8.1 begins, and if you're not a Machinist

If you have had any dealings with the program known as "The General," you will be fully investigated, human.

Khoo, the NPC next to the Machine Investigator in Ikebukuro

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins, and if you're not a Machinist

Your activities are being monitored.

Weiss, the NPC next to the Machine Investigator in Maribeau

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins, and if you're not a Machinist

Your leaders cannot possibly offer you the kind of power we can. Do not forget this.

Shared dialogued from the above NPCs

After the Assassin's death, and if you're a Machinist

With the downfall of the Assassin, a great threat to the Matrix has been removed. But we must remain ever vigilant. The individual behind the helicopters remains a power to be reckoned with.

After 8.1 begins, and if you're a Machinist

Zion has broken the Truce. The simulation must be defended if your species is to survive.

Vincent, the NPC next to the Merovingian Analyst in Apollyon

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins, and if you're not a Merovingian

What must I do to prove the warm affection I've always had for you? Come, join us. You'll like it here.

Jean-Louis, the NPC next to the Merovingian Analyst in Gracy Heights

During chapter 1.1, and if you're a Merovingian

I assume you've heard of these hardlines being tampered with? We'd like you to look into it, and find out who is behind it. I think the Merovingian would enjoy them.

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins, and if you're not a Merovingian

I wonder who's next on the Assassin's hit list. Maybe it's you.

After "Death of the Destroyer" begins, and if you're not a Merovingian

Now look what you did, ruined a perfectly good morning with your face. Some people.

Pierre, the NPC next to the Merovingian Analyst in Sai Kung

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins, and if you're not a Merovingian

Have you seen the black helicopters? I heard they're looking for Niobe. She's next, you know.

After "Death of the Destroyer" begins, and if you're not a Merovingian

Have you seen the black helicopters? I heard they're looking for Niobe. Better go warn her!

After chapter 8.1 begins, and if you're not a Merovingian

Shouldn't you be off on some high-minded moral crusade or something? Go away; I have real business to take care of.

Michel, the NPC next to the Merovingian Analyst in Chelsea

After "The Hunt for Morpheus" begins, and if you're not a Merovingian

How does it feel to know that we can take out your most powerful operatives and there isn't a thing you can do to stop us?

I'm not exactly sure when this happened, but it seems to have occurred shortly after Pandora's Box was added to the game, and if you were a Merovingian

You must not understand the Merovingian's plans. Otherwise you'd be out plaguing the Machines and Zionists, rather than standing around here bothering me!

Shared dialogued from the above NPCs

After the Assassin's death, and if you're a Merovingian

Ah, the Assassin. I'm gonna miss him, you know? He sure put Morpheus in his place... feedin' the worms... but, all good things must come to an end, right?

After chapter 8.1 begins, and if you're a Merovingian

So, Zion and the Machines have finally started mixing it up again. A dangerous time--but for those who know how to exploit it, a very profitable one.

Dialogue that was shared by every NPC that accompany the Organization Collectors

During the "Death of the Destroy" event, and only if your organization coresponded with the NPC

Here's the latest: The Assassin's Achilles heel is his egotism. He's writing a memoir as he runs. A little legacy project. People find pieces. Get that memoir, or its fragments (then assemble them), you'll have what you need to find and kill him. If we can't bring him down, well, stay indoors. The sky's not going to be pretty.
