Communications intercept. Transmission detected Tue 11th of Sep 2007 at 09:04 AM by Othinn. Communique follows:
*Make an exchange with one of the Merovingian's men.*
Tyndall: The Merovingian is willing to make an exchange with us and we need you to make the trade. Pick up the Computer Virus from Eros at this address and make the switch at another. Eros will have the rest of your instructions. Good luck, Warrior.
Operator: Liosazer... Something strange is going on... I'm getting some interference... I'm losing packets left and right, it's almost like something is blocking my link. I should be able to keep your map updated. Just move forward with caution -- this doesn't feel right.
Operator: Liosazer...! They...scram--...inter...--ace...trap!
Security: We got a Tango at twelve o'clock!
Watchman: Roger that.
Eros: I'm glad you made it here alive... Those bastards set up a trap and they are blocking the communication link to your Operator.
I overheard the guards say that a program known as Luther Hoyos has some sort of device that allows him to prevent transmissions between people jacked into the Matrix and the Operators aboard their hovercraft. I think the only way that you can communicate with your Operator again is to stop Luther Hoyos!
Eros: We still have a mission to take care of. I have the virus for you.
Eros: I hope your part in this assignment goes better than mine... Don't worry about me. I'll take care of myself from here.
Luther Hoyos: Ah! They found me!
Operator: Liosazer! There you are. I can see your position now. With Luther Hoyos dead I was able to re-establish our transmission. From here on out it would be best if we were a bit more careful.... Let's get that trade taken care of.
Tyndall: This is where Deer will make the trade with you. Try not to keep them waiting.
Operator: When you find Deer, they will take the virus from you and then give you the Data that was agreed upon.
Watchman: ...
Merovingian Operative: Just get what you need and go.
Deer: Ah, you're here! Actually, you're a little bit early, but...this is good because I don't really have a lot of time, so let's make this quick. Give me the Computer Virus and you can have the Data.
Computer: > username ../usr/Liosazer invalid!
> ACCESS DENIED
Operator: Whatever you do, don't hack Deer's computer... I don't think they are the type of person who likes people hacking their system.
Deer: Just what do you think you're doing?!
Deer: Hmm, yes... Everything appears to be in order... I've left the Data in my computer. It has everything you need... Take it and go.
Operator: The Data is in your hands now. Do not lose it! I need to ask you to upload that to me through a hardline. Once the data is with me, we'll be done.
Tyndall: I'm receiving the code from the Data... You know, it warms my heart to hear your voice again, Liosazer. I must admit, I never tire of setting up work for you.
Contact me when you are ready for your next assignment, Warrior.
If you hack Deer's computer
Operator: What the hell did you do that for?! That's a surefire way to put Deer in a bad mood.
Computer: ! ls -l /usr/tcb/bin/vrwd
-rwsr-xr-x 1 root bin
49152 /usr/tcb/bin/vrwd
! ls -l /tmp/dxchpwd.log
/tmp/dxchpwd.log not found
! ex.DISPLAY=:0
! ln -D /hackfile /temporary/vrwd
! ls -W /hackfile
/hackfile not found
! /usr/tec/bin/vrwd
! ls -l /hackfile
-rw------- 1
> root_system HACKED
> username ../usr/Liosazer valid!
> ACCESS GRANTED
Deer: Hacking my computer was a serious mistake! You're as good as dead!
Operator: I don't understand your methods, Liosazer... I'll let this one slide, but next time I'm telling Tyndall.
Merovingian Operative: That was far from cool, my friend.
Watchman: Not cool.
The mission then continues from the Operator's "The Data is in your hands now. Do not lose it!" line
