*Carry out an assignment with the first redpill you extracted.*

Tyndall: I come to you with a matter of utmost importance, Warrior. Several groups of Exiles attacked one of our bases last week. The Frenchman denies responsibility, claiming it's the work of renegades who operate outside of his control. You will be working with the crew of the Proditio on this assignment.

Go to this location to meet with the crew of the Proditio. Additional instructions will be sent to you when you reach your first objective... Oh, one more thing: You might also like to hear that the Captain of the Proditio, Caupolican, was the first redpill candidate that you recruited...

Operator: Meet up with Captain Caupolican of the Proditio. Once you've spoken with him, escort him and his crew to the strike location.

Operator *(after you've hacked a computer)*: Should you be doing that?

Operator: I wonder who Thefman is... Probably someone at Zion. The expansion that we've had in recent months has been insurmountable.

As per our agreement the arrangement you requested has been forwarded to my superior. I trust that everything will be to your satisfaction.

Operator: That data file contains the email from the computer.

Zion Soldier: I'm from the Proditio. You should speak with the Captain.

Caupolican: It's good to see you again, Liosazer. Remember me? You are the one who freed me from the Matrix. I'm known as Caupolican and I've become a Captain! If it hadn't been for your help, I may have died when the Exiles raided the apartment and I would've never seen the Real World....

Operator: Escort Caupolican and his crew out of the building and I'll send you the strike location coordinates.

Caupolican: I personally requested to work with you on this mission, Liosazer. I only hope that we can be of assistance.

Zion Soldier: I will follow you.

Tyndall: The purpose of this attack is to determine if what the Merovingian says is true or not. If he is lying, then we will eliminate a few of the exiles under his control and strike back for the attacks that have been made. If he is telling the truth, we will put a stop to these renegades and hopefully prevent further attacks from being made against Zion bases.

Caupolican: We must find the documents.

Zion Soldier: We should find the renegade base now.

Operator: You must recover any documentation that will help Zion determine if these Exiles are working for the Merovingian or not. If the Merovingian is at fault, we may have to strike back for his hostility.

Computer: > Invalid code stability setting for Fax

Operator: I don't know what that just did, but I swear there was a cry of pain from somewhere on this floor.

Computer: > Fax code stability has already been set to 50%

Merovingian Soldier 1: Fax! We have a break-in!

Merovingian Soldier 2: You smell of weakness.

Fax: How dare you come to disturb me!

Fax: Your death is moments away!

Operator: All of the renegade Exiles are dead. Make sure you check their bodies for any lead on the secret plan files.

Operator: That is the combination to Fax's safe. You should be able to get the secret plans now.

Operator: I do believe that this is what we were looking for. Take the documents.

Operator: Excellent work.

Caupolican: I see that you've found the documents. I would very much like to take a look at them...

Operator: I'm scanning the documents right now... Very interesting.

Operator: The documents that you've found speak of a powerful Matrix artifact that the renegade Exiles stole from the Merovingian. It would serve our best interest if we didn't let this artifact fall back into the hands of the Frenchman.

Tyndall: Before we can recover the artifact for ourselves, we must cause a diversion at another base. If not, we'll never be able to pry the artifact out of the hands of the renegades.

Once you eliminate all of the renegade Exiles, you'll proceed to the next location to recover the artifact.

Caupolican: We should go to the next location now.

Operator: This is the place. Good luck, Liosazer.

Merovingian Soldier 1: I'm getting tired of this crap!

Merovingian Soldier 2: The Merovingian sent you here, didn't he?!

Wasat: At first I thought it was funny, but then it started to get on my nerves... "Oh, Wasat! Take me with you!" Ugh, she just wouldn't ever leave me alone! I'm a free spirit! I'm a free man! I can't be tied down and take her everywhere I go! I have my own business to take care of.

Merovingian Soldier 3: I'm telling you, Wasat, you can't let these bluepills get in the way of your work...

Merovingian Soldier 3: Hey! Who invited you here!? Wasat, let's take 'em on!

Operator: All Exiles are dead. Be sure to keep Caupolican with you.

Caupolican: Another Exile down.

Tyndall: This assault is just what we needed to pull the artifact from the hands of the renegades.

I'm sending you the second set of coordinates, which is the artifact's location. We're not concerned about how you complete your objective, but you must recover the artifact.

Caupolican: Where to?

Operator: Be on the look out for an Exile that goes by the calling Propus. If you do see them, it would serve our interest and the Merovingian's if they were no longer a factor in the equation.

Operator: Propus is guarding the safe. Eliminate her!

Propus: The Merovingian does not appreciate art the way I do... It's so precious to me.

Operator: It's a good thing that you put an end to Propus. I don't think she would have been particularly pleased to part with the painting.

Caupolican: It is a shame that Propus wasn't willing to hand over the artifact.

Operator: That's the artifact! It may be small and unassuming but it carries great potential within the Matrix according to the documents that you found.

Caupolican: So the artifact is a painting! I should have known... Only the Merovingian would hold onto something so valuable. I would very much like to hold it.

Tyndall: Keep moving, Warrior. You must meet with Edmee. Oh, and don't lose Caupolican.

Caupolican: We're supposed to find Edmee now.

Operator: This is where you can find Edmee.

Zion Soldier 1: I'm on watch. You never know who will show up when you're in the Matrix.

Zion Soldier 2: Did you find anything else while you were on your assignment?

Zion Soldier 2: Very interesting... I wonder who this "Thefman" is. Do you think that this might actually be "The F Man" instead of "Thefman"?

Whoever it is, my guess is that they put the hit out on you. You should be careful out there, Liosazer.

Edmee: Liosazer, you made it! I trust you have the artifact with you?

Operator: You may leave the painting with Edmee. Do not fear, he can be trusted.

Operator: Caupolican plans to steal the artifact! Kill Caupolican!

Caupolican: I really hate to do this, Liosazer... I'm afraid the artifact is coming with me!

Edmee: Stop Caupolican!

Edmee: What was that all about? Did someone bribe Caupolican? Nevermind that now -- give me the artifact. I must keep it safe!

Operator: The artifact is in safe hands now.

Edmee: Don't worry, Liosazer. The artifact will be safe. I'm just glad that it didn't fall into Caupolican's hands. Who knows where it may have ended up...

Zion Soldier 1: I hope your other assignments have gone smoother than this one.

Tyndall: I am terribly sorry, Liosazer. I feel that I owe you an apology for the actions that took place this evening. It's unfortunate that Caupolican turned on us... I keep telling myself that this sort of thing doesn't happen, but then... I'm reminded of Cypher. There are others, like Caupolican, who would fall from Zion which is why I'm glad to see that you are still with us.

The people of Zion -- and especially myself -- thank you, Liosazer.

If the important NPC dies

Tyndall: You let Captain Caupolican die. This mission is over, Liosazer!
