Yes, as the producer, it does ultimately land on me when things go wrong for MxO. I won't argue that fact or point fingers in other directions. If I inject a bit of humor at this point, it's because I'm disappointed as well--both in the ending of MxO and in not finding ways to change the direction of the game.

Is there more I could have done? I'm sure there was. Hindsight can bring things into unfortunate and painful clarity at times. So I try to remember all the good things about this game and it's community and hope to learn from past mistakes so I can do better in the future. Too late for MxO, sadly. But not too late for any future projects I'm responsible for.

I wish we could keep at least one server open. The option was looked into, but it wasn't feasible. So we have to retire the game and that makes me immensely sad. I understand the anger completely.

Now we just need Keith01 to log on and say "I blame Walrus" to complete the circle.

What would it take to leave one server as is?

Who: All me.

Why: It was designed to draw out machine pvpers and and distract them from EPN. At the same time, Reposco organized a pvp event for EPN. I carefully compiled a list of competent Zion operatives to distract the machines. I left certain people off the list for one reason or another, humbling being one reason. I put certain people on the list that don't belong for certain reasons, too. Such as EPN's that I knew were not participating in the EPN event and some other people that I liked that were not Zions but maybe were at some time. I knew that naming certain factions would add distraction to my motives and hopefully bring about some RPvP.

I never intended to pay up, though I had more than enough info to cover the end result. At the end, I sent prop items of money to the winners. I then went back and sent them other silly prop items like a purse. That was on a whim and turned out to be a d i c k thing to do, so I apolagize for rubbing it in like that.

Also, I apolagize to EncryptedTransmission because I felt that this hurt him/her. Also, thanks for not giving me up at the time.

I also apolagize for this having any affect this.

Who wrote the sentinel, specifically the one with Meretrix's Torgo ad?

Someone once said SOE acquired MxO to better their Station Pass line-up. What they need us now for? They got DC and Agency.

Maybe copy/ past your character list from the other thread?

24. R.SeanEvans - A bluepill chronicle character, the 2nd one actually. Awakened by a faction named Choice which split from Pluribus Neo way back. They posted the awakening on their blog and that inspired me to keep creating bluepills for RP, hooking up with Zeissman and getting LESIG sponsorship.
    
25. R.TheEffectuator – A long time ago, everyone made themselves to look like the efectator for fun dancing. I created this alt and got CCR’d cuz someone had no sense of humor.

Ti amo is translated into I love you from Italian. She was sweet and newbish and meant to carry my faction over to Syntax, but RP was dying and I decided to join another faction for some new friends and fun while I enjoy the climb to 50. <3 Vixens

31. UUest – This guy was modeled after Cornel West, the philosopher and political advisor. He played counselor west in the sequels. I wrote up an interview and sent it to him at Princeton. He declined to take the interview, though. Here is a link to our communication regarding the interview.

Finally read it. I was expecting more specific examples. For instance, you mention in the 2nd paragraph about MxO "changed hands several times". I know it went from 'lith to SOE. Did it change hands internally at 'lith?

Also, the qualifications of Chadwick; I know he has done comics for decades. I remember Concrete from elementary school. I'm 30 later this year. He also helped the W bros. conceptualize a lot of the details of the movies. Then there is his Matrix comics in Vol.1 and 2.

Personally, I think he was qualified. However, I didn't like all things he brought into the Matrix Universe. The lazers were just the first things that came to mind.

3. Change Preferred Page Size to 50. Now you'll see 50 posts or threads per page instead of the default of 15.
4. Open the thread you want.
5. Right click on the page and select View Source or View Page Source for Firefox.
6. The page's html code will open in Microsoft Notepad.
7. Save it as a txt file anywhere you want. Name appropriately.
8. Since you can only see 50 posts at a time, when you get all the pages/ posts you want, copy paste them to one notepad file.
9. View as webpage by opening with web browser.

I wonder if those of us who remain could assist your efforts by taking a log and making an archive of the entirety of our own posts to begin with, and submitting them to either yourself or the Institute?

I'll give you access to my albums. I stopped updating them because it was time costly. Now with a clear deadline, i am waiting until after the end to update them. It will be a large upload.

For now, log them and save them in separate folders. After the end we'll get to work on sharing them.

Vesuveus, you could in theory but it'd be a pain. Sleepwalker Jeans and Deep Blue Jeans are the same model, so you only need to change the texture. Because of this, everything scales properly for everyone. We can swap out hats and such with other things because they're the same size for all body types of the similar gender. If you wanted to swap out Black Plain Slacks with Blue Jeans, you'd need to find the geometry and texture of black slacks, and then replace EACH body type's version of black slacks with the proper geometry. However, there are many different geometries, all vaguely named as /muscular_male/mg_pants1.mga, /small_male/sm_pants1.mga, sm_pants2.mga, and such. It'd take a while to find the right one, and the same thing goes for the black texture.

Plus, most "regular" clothing pieces don't have specular or bump maps; the Blue Jeans do (and the SW Jeans do too). Thus, we can easily swap out SW bump/base .txas and the engine takes care of the geometry for us. And because the Blue Jeans have bump maps, you can't properly replace normal clothing items as them; since they don't have a field for us to attach the bump map texture replacement. It's always best to try and use some distinctive item as a base, Earpiece, SW Jeans, Omega Trench, Demon Army, Area K, Assassin's Mask, etc. Something that would have it's own geometry, texture, and possibly bump texture.

So, if you can get ahold of any of the SW pant versions, it'd be possible to swap them out easily with the RezMap. Another option is always to use the useropts clothing shell; however, you can't always 100% recreate your look with the shell: tattoos, hair color, facial hair color, and skin tone are a bit tricky sometimes.
