Hate to break it to you, but you wasted all that time. So did I. All for pixels and points of data that will be rendered worthless in eight weeks. Now it's just a matter of making that rare stuff worthless now, or two months from now. I got one of the first FM-1500s and I wouldn't mind one bit if everyone had the opportunity to play with one for the time we have left. I'd rather share the enjoyment than keep it to myself.
You can think it was wasted all you want, but it was not wasted to me. I was the first person to get the Perpetual Flame Virus on my server and I really enjoyed having that flame. I also liked that Glitch Kitty lol. The memories of this game will stay with me forever. I didn't get everything, but I sure enjoyed collecting everything that I did for those 4 years, so no, my time was not wasted, thanks.
seems you're not getting the point, He's just wanting to share the wealth as ALL will be useless by August 1.
I dont want them to lol, its my junk i collected.
No, it's not. It's SOE's junk and it will cease to exist on August 1st. This greed is unreal.

That's so awesome! After watching MxO players get treated like crap for 3 1/2 years by SOE, I can now go and get treated like crap in all their other games FOR FREE!!!

Working in accounting, I can tell you this: Even though you've deleted your card details, they still have the original card on file. They will also have the settlement report from whatever company processes the transactions with your bank as well. So they should still be able to refund you on the same card.

Endomorph wrote: Seriously what gives? People who subbed on June 1st are now getting kicked out of game and having their accounts shut down? I mean seriously wth...
Listen... We got less than a weeks notice that you were shutting the game down and stopping billing. We are the paying customers who made this game what it is and after putting in so much time, dedication, and love into this game your simply pulling the plug and taking all our hard work and throwing it into the garbage can. We've got a little less than 2 months left on this game and we'd like to make the most of it and get as much enjoyment out of it as possible... I don't know if you guys have forgotten this fact due to how small the player base is around here, but this is a MMO... And its the multiplayer part that keeps people come back. We've got 2 months left and in order to make the most of it we need our friends and faction mates to be here. As a faction leader myself, I've got tons of friends/faction members who are currently unsubbed and cant get resubbed to get back here and enjoy the last 2 months. And this is a fact that rings true for a lot of players and factions where they've got a lot of unsubbed players who want to come back but cant. You've got players going back to the CR1 days who put in a lot of time into this game in its early on who want to be here for the end. Some of us have put in well in excess of 3000 hours in to our characters... That's a massive amount of time to spend on something to not be able to be there for the end and have some closure. I mean really stop and think about all the old players out there who you know who want to be here right now but cant.
So Virrago, please go bash some heads up in the SOE offices and get them to enable all the old accounts. Let anyone who's not banned come back and play for the end. Heck, unban all the accounts and let them come back as well. As much as we hated some of the players in this game its also the villans who made the game what it was as well. The point is though, let the players come back who want to come back. In the last 2 months if we could get everyone back on here we could make the last 2 months something amazing and give this game one he ll of a send off. And from the logical point of view... SOE has no reason not to.... From June 1st forward all of us are playing for free anyway... So really what difference does it make? Free is free. Try to get them to let our friends and faction mates come back.
So I implore you to please fight for this all to often forgotten community and let us get the most out of the time we have remaining. Because if we cant get our friends and faction mates back here its simply another slap in the face. Posting on behalf of Anxiety762.

This is going to sound really stupid, but two-person emotes. /hug, /weddingcake, /dogsniff, etc. I've thought about this, and this was a truly unique feature to MxO. MxO was my first MMO, so I always thought it was something that other MMOs had... but not even WoW the Juggernaut has it. Gonna miss this place.

Yea, but it'd be kinda cool if LARP was incorporated into the ARG. I mean throughout the Matrix movies, Animatrix and MxO, you had characters and players interacting with one another and their enviorment.
The last thing I need is to sign up for this, only to have a couple of unshaven, overweight dorks in trenchcoats show up to my home while I'm in my boxers, claiming that they're there to show me how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Mainly because even if they wanted to (it's not something they're known for doing, for one), it isn't their property to be releasing to the public. It belongs to Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment. SOE has just been the baby-sitter for the better part of the last four years.
I know someone, who is most definitely not me, that would be willing to pay any SOE employee to release the above information to certain individuals.

From what I've heard, Vanguard is actually the next one on the chopping block. I have no idea why SOE continues to keep Planetside around, but whatever. And SOE will definitely get a shock with the Agency, and I look forward to it as well.

The first Matrix film grossed over $460 million dollars. You have, quite literally, killed the franchise. That's quite an achievement. Congratulations. I won't be around to see how you handle your future projects, so good luck I guess. If you couldn't see ways to help improve this game, then I'm sorry, you weren't fit to be a producer. Maybe some advertising? Maybe actually poking your head in here more than once a year? In my opinion, you sold us out for bluer pastures (lulz get it?). You helped make the awesome game that the Matrix Online was, and then it's like you ditched us without a second thought and have focused everything on the Agency. Sorry if I'm being harsh, but I loved this game and this franchise, and it infuriates me to see what SOE has done (or rather, HASN'T done) to it.

Raijinn, sure maybe emulated Server are against the copyright, but we have payed for the game . It should be possible to provide the players are network-playable or stand alone playable version of the game . Maybe in releasing the server files? Cause MxO went down forever, and nobody has the chance to jack in again, i think this issnt fair. So is there any possibility to get these files or mxo working for themselve after the 31.07.?
And is there maybe a plan to try to sell MxO to an another company?(like monolith it does to you)
That's a very good point. We have purchased the game. Therefore, if you don't provide us with a means of playing it offline, we should be able to demand a refund for it.

I'm sorry, but after getting treated like the bastard red headed step child, I have no intentions of giving SOE any more of my money. So I will not be playing The Agency, or DC Universe. SOE knows nothing about customer services and they know nothing about investing in a good game, time wise or finanical wise. SOE wants nothing more than money, and they'll try to half *ss as much as they can to get it. SOE is black balled from any further purchase.
Mind you, there's nothing wrong with being all about making money. Look at Blizzard! But they show that excellence in service and support and communication is an investment that inevitably bears fruit. They clearly have set the bar for best practices which all others would do well to emulate. If only...if only...
I think because Blizzard makes the effort to have a good customer relations and good customer service is why they're so popular. Not only that, but they actually invest in their game! *gasp*
You know what's funny? People in WoW b*tch and moan about how horrible Blizzard is, and how bad their customer service is... every time I hear it, I think to myself "Good lord, be thankful you've never had to deal with SOE."

Another tip: Everyone go for the lumber mill, blacksmith, and mine. Have one guy cap the farm, then continue to one of those other three control points. Don't bother staying to defend. As soon as you claim a control point, head for the stables. Kill anyone defending the stables, and then claim that too. The Alliance will be forced to spawn in their starting graveyard. Everyone rush and camp the graveyard... wait for all five flags to cap, get some HKs, profit.
Don't forget that on the way we need to kill Balinda Stonehearth and cap SPGY quick. Also, make sure people on D go back and recap Iceblood and Tower Point if need be.
SPGY? No way. You want SHGY. Let the Alliance have SPGY, otherwise they get bottlenecked up at Stormpike.

But I think SOE at the very beginning did have plans to keep mxo running better, and WB made it hard for them to do so. I heard that many from Monolith stole storyline info and engineering manuals for the game when SOE took over and the rest of the team was transfered to other games or let go.
Do you have a source for this?
I can say with conviction that there were several disgruntled Monolith LET members that intentionally sabotaged the game's storyline, due to SOE not bringing them over. Pretty childish on their part, but I can understand the frustration. The only source you'll get from me is just my word on it. There was one certain ex-LET member that hopped on a number of TeamSpeaks and AIM chats with various members of the community and spilled the beans.
Ok, so I can buy that part, what about the stealing of engineering manuals for MxO?
I got nothing on that one.
I had heard (I think from Rarebit) that there was little to no documentation on MxO's database/engine... so when the original developers (developers, not LET) were canned by SOE, there was no one left that knew how to properly make changes.
