  Well i have just terminated my subscription to the game, i still have some time to play left but honestly i dont think i will, i just havent been able to play as much as i used to what with things going on around me between collage and such.

I feel a great sadness for the community im leaving behind, people whom i have been with from day 1 and those i met along the way, through the highs and lows of the game, friends and foe's....generaly more foes than friends really XD

ill still lurk around the forums keeping an eye on things, but when my sub expires i wont be able to post anymore... SMILEY

  Well i know that we allready have an excelent guide to the new collectors items buffs thanks to spha, but what if you wanted to see the actual diffrence pre/post patch, well here i have put together a list (original loc and buff list taken from an archived page of mxo-resouce)
Also the images are free for anyone to use so if any fansite oprators want to put togethr their own guide, thats some of the legwork allready done SMILEY<img src=" />

  Was just brosing the ea website and came across this

Details of whats going to be in the expansion are sparse as yet, but in the newsletter its mentioned that there will be new units for all 3 sides.

Also the expansion is going to act as a bridge between the end of the firestorm storyline and where we pick up in C&C3, it will also probably answer the question , what was kain doing all those years in hiding, as the story is centered around kain.

Also mentioned is that its the first expansion for C&C3 so hopefully ther will be more, hopefully they will release a longer scirin campaign.

  As we now know when you use either a quicksilver, (the inhaler / resistance pill luggable) and overdrive luggable you learn the schematics for the respective items and recieve 2 frags of that type.

This is ok for the inhaler / resistance pill items as you can compile 20 of each from a single frag (at least i think, going on standard consumable behaviour here)

The main problem is that when you get the overdrive or quicksilver luggable again, it still gives you two frags and a system message saying you allready know the schematics for the items.

So the small idea i have is to give between 2-4 aditional frags if you already know the schematic (bringing the total to 4-6 quicksilver/overdrive frags per luggable).

This would also mean that the entire team (or team's) could benifit from the reward, especialy from the harder archive boss spawn, which takes considerable numbers to finish off, yet only gives enough frags for a few members of the team(s).

  Ok so three of the biggest problems with the hacker class are these penalties :

Hyper Delfect Stacking. (Hopefully)
Melee Damage penalty.
Interlock accuracy penalty.

So lets have a discussion on these three.

In my opinnion the hyper deflect stacking should never have introduced in the first place, it was just too much of a trup ard for ever other tree, with each and every other hyper you have to think tacticaly , considering the current situation.
With hyper deflect if you have the memory points, load it and you have an improved resistance to  melee , balistic or thrown attacks and viral attacks.

The melee damage penalty in my opinnion was a good idea as hackers are primarily a non interlock class but went a bit too far, i mean 1 damage per hit is ludicrous, i would be in favour of a reduced power melee attack in interlock maybe 80-90 points of damage per hit in comparision with an average MA's ability to throw out 270-350+ damage hits depending on stats.
The main reason i want this change is it would give us a cahnce when Is runs out to acctually do some damage , however slight to stop an opponant regening a large chunk of health while we twiddle our thumbs waiting for some is to regen.

The interlock accuracy penalty for hackers is adding insult to injury.
If it was implemented because hackers are classed as a Ranged class then this penalty should also be applied to other ranged trees such as Spies and Gunmen as they recieve no such penalty when in interlock.
As it stands even with high accuracy its quite hard to hit oponnants in interlock if they are using trees with high natural accuracy.

  Well i was going to make an alt yesterday but i had to stop for a while due to a small problem, i got to teh archtype selection window and was about to chose one to be stuck with for the rest of the game that was suitable for the tree i was gonna pick but.... well theres no stat point explanations tool-tips.

Sure its shows teh basic x-x-x-x-x layout as to where the points go, but say if your a new player and didnt understand what %'s those atributes gave, then you could pick an archtype totaly unsuitable for your selected tree.

All that would be needed is to add tooltips showing what each archtype will give you in terms of stats, and also a definition of these stats
(eg , so you want to be a gunman, go for stats x+y) for new players in the blank space of the bottom right hand corner, as it stands new players are thrown in at the deep end on character creation.

  Well seeing as we allready have the area k in 01 , which is linked to the animatrix movie the second renisance as the name of the 01 docks why not have a similar quest for 10.

Also this idea is to address another issiue i have with teh archive loot, there isint a buffed shirt as a drop or reward, all you can get are

Yuki : gloves , shoes and dana
ashencourt : coat glasses and pants
10 : just the heavy messon rifle
sakura: gloves boots and bandana
widdows moor: coat cap and glases
01 : beret, heavy messon mk2 , area k trench

So what i propose is a shirt with a similar texture to the Area k named the "Dock-workers Gear"

It should have similar buffs to the area k, scaled to the level that would be going for it.

and probably have similar requirements to the arek k : parts , heads and beret which would have to be added in too.

  Well i have noticed today that my loading areas total space caps out at 495 slots, yet the meter that was implemented recently shows the total to be 520.

I am just wondering is this a glitch or is there 25 slots of upload space reserved for something, its just slightly annoying to think you have space for abilitesand then get the upload failed message due to full loading area.

  well i decided this evening to run a few more of our fun aniverasary event mission to get some frags stockpiled for later trading but it seems that smith had other ideas when i tried using my trust howitzer load (for the 3 on 1 / 2 on 1 spawns)

  Well i was thinking today about how the game works for free fire attacks, such as guns and melee free fire.

Well there is'int much veraity in it for other trees, its mainly designed with gunmen and to a lesser extent martial artists in mind.

So why not reduce the dps of the knife attacks and introduce a knife weapon for the weapon slot, making knife attacks dependant on the dps of the knife, much like how a gunmans attacks are dependant on the gun/rifle/smg he equips.

this would give a low damage free fire option which wouldnt be as prone to missing compared to trees which try to use guns without the accuracy bonus, and would also give the knife throwers a semi unique weapon (they could still use guns, and a gunman could use the knifes)

also something similar for hackers would be nice, something along the lines of a pda with the data node locator animation, and maybe a low damage attack similar to the other free fire attacks with maybe a logic blast animation on hit (toned down a lot though, maybe a weak looking animation to show its not as strong as the full attack). This will allow hackers to resort to free fire attacks when they run out of is, without the high chance of missing with a gun.

  I think we need to take a look at that line in a diffrent light since the recent attacks on random inhabitants of the matrix.
He dosent seem to be protecting anything by randomly attacking redpills bluepills or exiles then sucking the code out of them...

Or is he..

I believe that one line has a total diffrent meaning than the one everone has come to accept....seraph dosent protect anyone in particular, he protects the stability of the matrix by protecting the key players in the forging of the path of the one, nameley the oracle..and in this cycle, sati.
It may have something to do with his past as a seraphim, an unending though to protect all connected to the system...even when he was freed from that life something of it most likely remained, shown in that he retains his role as protector time and time again.

Now his dunk in the aquadeuct has worked a great change on him, theres no doubt about that..but what change is it.

Well the most obvious would be the mixing of his code with cheat codes, the efeects of which are unknow save that his eyes sparkel and drip gold code... which i believe was the original intent of one of the code vials, to give neo like vision uncluttered with the textures of the matrix, a pure vision of the code underlaing everthing in the matrix. Now seraph could probably see this as he was but with the addition of the vial supplementing his own maybe he can see somthing that was too deeply buried before to be seen by conventional means... smiths code, it could have been burried so deeply in some rsi shels tha tnot even deus ex machinas cleansing of the system would have been able to detect or reach it, slowly festering and growing in strenght undisturebed in the rsis of unwitting carriers.

Now with the image retrieval leak of the smith virus return, one has to wonder.. has seraph returned to his old role as protector of the system, and that which matters most...

  As everyone knows hackers are totaly dependant on their special attacks, and as an extension their Inner strength.

When someone goes to interlock you, be it an npc or a player during pvp, after the 3 attemps you have allready lost 45 IS, thats a lot of is to lose even before you enter interlock.

So my suggestion is to replace some of the more redundant bonuses on some of the hacker passives, such as melee accuracy or damage and replace it with a bonus that lessens the drain you get from fending off an interlock attempt.

  A friednd of mine suggested i post this as he said it would be handy ingame, so im not taking any credit for this one SMILEY

When a crew member logs off, a large message is displayed onscreen to alert you so why could this not be done for faction members and the buddy list too, with a similar options togle in the chat options menu to turn it on/ off if you find it to intrusive, or only want buddylist/faction listings to be displayed.

  Well with the way conematics are streamed to our computers rather than downloading htem in patches, it can often stop up, or simply take too long to stream the cinematic.

I know that you can watch them in the direct links in the missions and storyline section, but i would rather watch them ingame as intended.


So why not allow us to have the option of caching the cinematics in our mxo folder, reducing or eliminating download time between repeated viewings, and lessening the load on the server from constant downloads and streams.

  why not implement a code archive meter showing the x/y of how much space you have acctually used, similar to the memory meter in the abilities pane, as it gets annoying when you dont know how much space you have left and then you get the code archive is full message.

It would also be nice if it showed how much space is taken by abilites and items through a colour coding of the bar.
For example Red would indicate abilities, green items and blue as empty space.

  I may not be the first one to have come across this, but when i have finished reading the topics in the forum, i leave closing the browser.

When i return to the forums later, all the previously read topics have become remarked as unread, maing it very hard to see what has been replied to. the only way to get around this is to log out manualy each time, an as this is my home computer, i rather like the convienince of having it already logged in when i get home.

  well you know how the messon rifles are limited'ly repairable and burn out extreemley fast, and also considering the fact that 10 has no special loot whatsoever apart from the heavy messon riffle

So i had an idea.(this idea primearly applies to 10, as 01 allready has a quest line, but for the higher levels could also be implemented)

Ok to start off, all the npcs in 10 will drop specific componenets :

Workers will drop Battery components although not rare, they should be uncommon.
Soldiers will drop various gun componants and parts
The 10 taskmaster will drop a 10 Prototype Messon Gun frame.

A new collector would have to be added to collect these parts for rewards.(i suggest he be placed in westview/low level area of downtown to corospond with the level of people entering htis archive)

The idea behind this is you need at least x number of parts from each enemy, similar to the current parts from soldiers and beret from the tm on 01
except from the taskmaster, you will only need 1 Gun frame.

simply trade in 40 battery componants, 60 gun componants, and a prototype frame to recieve a 10 Prototype Messon riffle.

It should have similar stats to the normal messon , with maybe a 4 times slower decay rate.

Now when this breaks you have some choices,

1)scrap it for a small amount of info at a vendor,
2)try and repair it (it has the same stats as the normal messon so 1 repair is all you get)

Or

3)Collect 20 prototype battery parts and trade them in along with your broken gun for a replacement.

This could also be done for 01, but at the moment 10 would need it more.

I suggested this be done for the messon as it is a cool gun, both in apperance and animation, but its widley unused due to the decay rate, so heres a compromise that adds content and reuses the old stuff too, and also adds a purpose to 10 apart from being an interarchve area between ashencort and sakura.

  Ok so we all know about zen master (from the now infamous leaking into the game) and also through the search feature of  Trojan horse and citadel coder.

well im not going to ask the developers to just add them in the middle of a (partialy) ballanced system (every game has its own tree bugs or exploits )

What im suggesting is that if the developers were ever to implement a level cap increase to lv60 these could be introduced as end game trees, maybe one for each style of combat.

So in this way there would be three stems comming from karate grand master, kung fu gm and akido gm, going into Zen master (its always sounded like this ability should be at the top not the middle, being a pinacle of focus and power)
The offensive hacker trees leading into trojan horse,
The healing side leading into a new class with better buffs and heals (superior repair-master ??)
The proxy and daemon coder trees could lead into the citadel coder (maybe something special for the clothing, ability, apperel, consumable and weapon coders too)
The gunmen could lead into something like a superior firearms expert
The spy tree could lead into a shinobi, ninja tree

These trees would be acessible after the normal prequesites were met, (including reaching level 60 and leveling the abilites to 60, so it could possibly cost an extra 10 mil to get to 60)

but each tree once it meets the normal prequisites could load new abilites which would be given 6 (or seven depending if it has a central ability) seperate ability points of a diffrent type to the normal ones so as not to unbalance the exsisting gameplay with superloads that have hacker and ma loaded.

the great this about this would be that even though you have say the zen-master tag in the details window, you could be one of three variants of the martial arts trees each adding their own strengths and weaknesses to the overall effectiveness of the tree.
This would allso be true for hybroid loads mixed with the endgame loads would give a new level of customizability, or vulnerability. SMILEY

In closing i would just like to say that this is just an idea for the developers if they ever try to rais the cap, here's some ready made ideas,

comments , criticisim are welcome as long as there constructive, and if something like this has allready been posted then sorry about the presumptiveness of the title. SMILEY

(and yes i know the names i came up with arent that original for the other non existent trees so some suggestions there would be good too)

  ok im just trying to get a decent idea of whats available accuracy wise for hackers.

In my code library i have the 3% shades and 3% shoes but after that everthing else is 2%, apart from taggerts pipeline @ 4%.

so what im wondering is if anyone else has com across or is even aware of 3% accuracy clothing for the other clothing slots, or does it simply not exist.

  why not have code compiler stations in the archive.

These areas would be like the org outposts or in them, so that when you respawn in them you are not auto flagged.

you simply buy a recompile ticket and if you die, you return to the compiler inside the archive, This would be handy for pvp or pve.

The ticket should be at a price that reflects the level of the archive (so there would probably have to be an extra vendor in the archivists for these tickets),so that it would be a fair price for a lv15 going into yuki, like 40k and not 500k,
and there should be a unique ticket for each archive (with maybe a bookmark icon to reflect the book icon of the archive key)

Tickets should be non tradeable and be singleton,
(well maybe a limit of 5 so during bigger pvp fights where every person counts, they could get back into the fight faster).
or have a decay rate of 5 uses.

They are also level specific and cannot be bought unlees you fall into the lv category, this would prevent the accidental purchaes of unusable tickets (for exaple a lv 50 buying a non tradeable yuki recompiler ticket.)

  This has really been bugging me now for qite some time, but the stinger shotgun has been reduced to a run of the mill weapon.

This wouldnt bother me so much if it wasent a Rare dungeon drop, shouldnt it have the stats to reflect that.

at the moment you get better drops from a lv40 npc.

Im not saying to put it back the way it was with the stat bonuses but just make it a little more worth teh effort.

prior to the cr2 nerfing there used to be a line of people going there to get one of these guns as it was rare and powerfull.

now the only reason people go down that dungeon is to go to the pandoras box collector fasset.

  I am writing this post to point out that something is seriousley wrong with the 01 npcs.

They are outfitted with the messon rifle which among other things has a 10% chance to stun.

what i have noticed, spending quite a lot of time in there farming parts, heads (and i know that the Tm uses a heavy meson rifle with a 15% chance) and berets is that for the given percentage, they stun far to often for it to acctually be 10%.

in groups it is understandable that they would stun you quite often as each npc has a chance to stun, but against single npcs it seems that they stun far too often, with maybe a 50% chance seeming more likely.

Now for the info: i was running a ravager loadout most of the time, switching to howitzer once or twice
while my faction m8 was running karate hybrid load and still experiencedthe same stun issiue.

i just thought i should bring this up as myself and some friends have noticed this.

Observations, opinnions and constructive criticisim would be apprecieated.

  Could we please get a reset button for the traning sim in the org areas as it is quite a hassel to kill the sim, leave restart etc..
one way of doing it is to add a new right click option to link (or whoever the other orgs get) to respawn the sim.

Also im not asking for this but it has been suggestedby some of my friends that maybe you should move the sim spawn point into a larger area in the org constructs, for example the dojo in the zion one, and i havent been in the other constructs so i dont know th layouts.

Great job on them otherwise SMILEY, its good fun to fight them.

Also why not add a secondary computer which when activated spawns a large number of random npcs in random empty rooms around the org area.
you could call it an org construct defence traning sim, and have the npcs at the 50-55 levels with decent info.

for the ultimate challange activate both traning sims SMILEY

  so got a call from tyndall a few days back over system chat that anomes unlimits were ripping the place up down around southard, so i decided to give the place a look over to see what was going on.

When i got there (and it took a while as some of the nearest hardlines were down) there was chaos.

you couldnt get within spitting distance of the warehouses without getting jumped by not 1 but up to 4 lv60 unlimit reactors at a time.

so as a larger group began to gather in the area we took upon ourselves the task of clearing out these code freaks.

Unfortunatley there were too many to handle as we progressed in so some of us decided to scout ahead, to see what was going on.

there was nothing much going on until i was informed by a friend that one of anomes thugs was in the area and after doing a sweep we found her, tungsten a lv70 karate grandmaster.

At first she was tight lipped when asked what she was doing there but as the fight progressed, she began to speak of warehouse blueprints and how they would serve their group well.She also went on to say that we would die eating our own slop, possibly a relation to the mysterious blupill deaths recently.

It seemed that for every operative who got in her way , they met with a painfull trip to the loading area.

After cutting a path of destruction through southard she summoned possibly the largest single group of unlimits to date and promptly disapered, probably back to anome.

Tungsten is extremly dangerous and appears to have taken more of the cheat codes than an average unlimit, putting her on par with anome, approach with extreme caution.

  i just thought i would bring something up on this subject.
yeah the cost of the key is high but that is how it was designed - for factions mambers to work together to buy one.

and yeah there isint much to do there yet but you never know what content may be added.
on thursday when this new content is released what are you going to do ?

will you invite all your faction mates to the area,will one of the radio stations organise a party in the construct / white hallways.

will the liasons find new and interesting ways to use it - interogation of enemy redpills for example

in the machines case it would be great for rp purposes as it simulates real world enviroments and would work well with a storyline set in a prisonl or a least it is a change from the normal bland interiors. it could even be darkend up in pictures and used as the blackwood prison the merv is so famous for hosting SMILEY

the zion org area simulates very well the area outside the matrix and could also be used for rp for an out of hovercraft experience SMILEY
(hey so you cant go to the real zion here's the next best thing.) also the shooting range could be used for a military backround say in a back story.

also an org only tournament held in the org zones.

any thoughs or ideas that i havent put up would be good. SMILEY

  At the moment the pandoras box items decay at the same rate as other items, which in my opinnion is wron considering what you have to go through to obtain them (especialy the box 4 stuff sheesh)

i mean its unreasonable to expect a person to have to redo a box almost once every week just to get replacements for something which got badly damaged in pvp.

look at it from this perspective. The items tehmselvs are still on th cr1 decay rate which means that every time thay get hit a miniscule ammount is added to a counter until they visibly decay by one level.

But couple it with the cr2 accuracy of balistic weapons hitting 60% of the time and the explosion of people using trees whichincreas the accuracy even further means that if you are in medium to heavy pvp and you get shot at (or worse zerged) your clothing wont last too long.

also the same goes for archive drops, but they are a double edged sword as once you have passed its maximum ,and you lose the item your pretty screwed unless you have the time to farm up to 100 million $info for a replacement.

archive drops apparently decay faster than most normal clothing also from what i have seen.

I hope this is looked into and if there is a problem that it gets fixed soon.

  I made this post on the syntax boards because that is where i got my impression from but as it concerns any faction with an epn tag i think you should voice your opinnion of the current state of things on the other servers.

  when was the last time something epn related happned on syntax
 
for starters every other groups liason has been on frequently even if its just to say hello. Apart from epn which makes it impossible to get an epn tag, say if you had just started a new faction and wanted to go epn, you couldnt as their is no liason to help you get it.

also their has been no apperances from main characters like our controler or leader in the last 3-4 weeks.

this is a stark contrast to the cypherites who have had two mini events in the last month.
(playing cryptos with the skin change and then again a few days ago when the liason or dev gave them an unlimt skin)
And the numerous zion, merovingian and machine events in relation to the current storyline.

Also if you look at the live events board look for the date of the last appearance of shimda or the kid on any server, it's just unfair compared to the other orginizations.
