Yes and which character says this? I ripped out all the audio files but I havent had a chance to listen to them all yet.
Morpheus said this in both his initial meeting at the beginning of the "Hunt for Morpheus" event, and in an audio document found in the 1.3 missions (seen at the top of the page in that link).

As do I. I don't want to step on Mindsweep's contact list, but I think we also need a place to stick together as a community. I believe it was Phrack who said that he regrets losing touch with people who have left the game long ago. If we had a "post-MxO" forum then we can stick together, and hopefully there will be a specific place where long lost MxO friends can see us again. Also, the MxO community seems to be one of the most active Matrix communities around. I've been to Matrix forums like matrixcommunity.org, thelastfreecity.com, and matrixfans.net. And while they're not inactive, they're no where near as active as this community. We don't have to talk about MxO there if we don't want to. We should talk about whatever we want.

Yeah, I believe Chadwick said something about this on his blog. He had a lot of talks with the art and animation dev about the Unlimit arc, and the dev seemed really excited to work on it, but then SOE pulled him off the project.

Actually, I think it was.
But someone else is gonna have to back me up on that.
Broin did actually meet him in game ( I think). I believe he was played by Rarebit, though.
Anyone know how his name was written in-game? Spaces, numbers hidden with {}, etc.?

Finally read it. I was expecting more specific examples. For instance, you mention in the 2nd paragraph about MxO "changed hands several times". I know it went from 'lith to SOE. Did it change hands internally at 'lith? Also, the qualifications of Chadwick; I know he has done comics for decades. I remember Concrete from elementary school. I'm 30 later this year. He also helped the W bros. conceptualize a lot of the details of the movies. Then there is his Matrix comics in Vol.1 and 2. Personally, I think he was qualified. However, I didn't like all things he brought into the Matrix Universe. The lazers were just the first things that came to mind. I look forward to your next post. ETA?
Well I know Sega had something to do with it, and there was some other company i just cant remember its dam name, something like Bioware or Bio something another which was during the very early stages of Beta, then it went to Warner bros then to soe.
The game was always developed by Monolith, according to all the interviews I've read (including one with Toby Raigaini where he talks about going to Eon in 2001, I believe, to throw their idea of a Matrix MMO past the Wachowskis). Warner Bros. and Ubisoft were originally going to co-publish the game, but Ubisoft dropped out (some believe this was a reaction to how the sequels were received by the general public, but they dropped Uru Online at around the same time and pretty much pulled out of the MMO market altogether). By E3 2004, it was announced that the new co-publisher of the game would be Sega.

Is it pretty much ALL the spoken dialogue, during missions or on mission items?
All of them from what I can tell. Edit: I do approve of extracting the spoken dialogue files. There's a lot of interested and unused stuff there, such as a lenghty conversation between the Oracle and Sati about Neo, where he is, whether he's coming back, his purpose, etc. Plus some dialogue from Nona Gaye (who played Zee in the sequels). Plenty of interesting stuff, and I highly suggest that people hold on to the MxO files. You never know when you may need them. Edit 2: Oh, it also includes the Cryptos box dialogue.

True, there hasn't been a major Matrix release since Path of Neo in late 2005, but I think there will be something new from the Matrix franchise at some point in the future. It's clear that The Matrix still has fans, and the trilogy will always be available on television, in stores, online, etc. so there will always be new fans. So I do think there will be something, someday.

Agreed. It's as if we're being...
...erased from existence.
And there's a perfect example of a popular trilogy that is now almost 25 years old. I watched this when I was a kid, and I hope many, many others get to watch it for decades to come, perhaps more. I think that having access to any work of fiction that one is interested in is a basic right that everyone shares.

Heh. That reminds me of when I started in beta. I'm not a PC gamer, so my specs didn't reach the minium requirements at first. None of the textures were visible when I made my first character so I did it blind. When I got a better video card shortly after that, I found that my character had dark skin and orange hair. XD

10011 wrote: Hey Othinn. First of all, I don't have the character details for Entropi and BrickDissuader. I checked. I updated the "About" section of my blog with all the character names that were listed in the Profiles folder in my MxO directory, so that should give you all the character names that I know about at the moment. I omitted all the random broken program names as they didn't have any interesting details anyways, just "This program appears to be broken." There's some others that are on a different account that I ran on a different computer that I can look up at the end of June. I was considering just sending you my entire collection of MxO screenshots if you want them. Almost all of them are of LESIG chars or LE chars. And quite a few of them have dialog of people talking to my characters. Sheesh, looks like I have quite a few archives. There's 162 of 10011 before he joined LESIG, 541 that look like a mix of Entropi, TheWatchmaker, SgtSteele, and the Jokers. Then 811 of mostly Entropi and the Jokers, but a few from the start of the KYEO storyline. Those 811 also include lots of images from the Joker finale, including the Morpheus sim code bombing. My last archive has 499 screenshots of the crew. Then my current screenshot folder has another 800 of the crew. Some quick math... and... about 2800 screenshots total. They're yours if you want. Oh, and those last two sets of screenshots are largely taken through the eyes of the crew, which makes for some interesting vantage points. I also have LOTS of chatlogs, but I might want to go through those and censor portions that contained private conversations between myself and other LESIG members, so those might take longer to get to you.
About the details you don't have, if you still have them in your Profiles folder, look for a .cfg file called "mcd" and open it. It should be in there. Would it be possible to give me a list of the broken programs and the like? It would be easy to add them if their details are the same. I used to omit character details that weren't much to look at (mainly bluepills whose details just said their name) but nowsdays I add them as well so people can use the character details section as a kind of character list. I would like the screenshots you have. I'd like to point out that anyone can register at the Image Dump section of my site and upload their screenshots at their leissure. No one has signed up yet. And I understand that you'll have to censor portions with private conversations with other LESIG. I'm not interested in any OOC dialogue from characters. Though if there's any in-character stuff I'd like to have it.
