I've seen alot of enthusiasm over multiple posts, and its swayed me.
I've also gotten word of people who are not subscribed wanting to help with various ends.
Unfortunately and no offense to SOE, but I do not think that DN1 is the best place to put it all together, due to restrictions on accounts (having to be subscribed to post), and the probably instant clutter/spam it would generate.

I've set some space aside on my web hosting, for a public forum for collaborate work on a possible mega fan site (which I see many people wanting to do), or perhaps alot of addon content for another existing website (Like expanding upon mxomainframe if the owner is cool with it for example)

This is nothing fancing, nothing permanent, it'll be just a place for ideas to run free without getting in too much trouble.

Please don't roll your eyes at me...I know you are...I see you doing it!

Anywho, some of us remember them and I recall several reasons why they would not be implemented in the future.  Other than bugs, I remember two as "grinding for reputation" and "balancing" .  The first one with new approach is semi disputable at this point, but I thought other than going "OMG BRING THEM BACK" etc etc, those of us with knowledge of builds and abilities could take the time to examine a set of organization abilities at a time like any other ability if we had it, and see what kind ideas we could come up with to balance them (the hard and delicate part).

First set to be discussed (hopefully reasonably) are the level 10.  These abilities have the same buffs for all organizations.  It is also a passive buff.

My first and real only issue with these, are that they are Bonus types.  Bonus type of buffs especially like this are semi-exploitable.  I figure making them a set point value would be the way to go on this particular set.

Please...share your wisdom.

This is more of a informational post than question.  I plan to keep updating this as long as I play, with updates on the NVIDIA driver side and its compatibility with MxO.

(For techies: I use driver sweeper to remove all NVIDIA drivers before I install the latest (Uninstall, reboot, driver sweeper, reboot, install, reboot. (enable SLI, reboot if applicable.  All drivers listed are official release, non-beta, WQHL))

I have 2x 8800GTs, in SLi on the desktop, single 8600M GT in the Dell laptop.

Green: No problems with MxO
Orange: Some mixed issues in test results, read all notes.
Red: x_x

  Was toying with this, and the command doesn't seem to affect the face.  The rest of the body is fine, but the face still has dynamic lighting.  I moved around to some darker spots, and it looks like the camera light (you know, you light up like 3m in a radius around you) is what's making the face change.  *It doesn't seem like anyone is posting in the support anymore with them all folded and tucked away*

  Over the course of a few days, I've seen some people use these on non hostile servers for the lamest BS ever, and these are usually snipers.  What I've seen them do, is that they scram away from the fight, regardless if their side is zerging or not, and run to a pacification zone to deflag.  Now that they are friendly again, they come back and get another kill, and run back to deflag.  Honestly, in my opinion, its as annoying and exploiting as when people were jumping around like rabbits to screw people's interlock timers.

Yes, I'll agree that using pacification zones to deflag on a casual basis is fine, or if you use it to become deflagged after a long PvP fest, but if one does this over and over, like after every kill, then this ranks high on the BS list.  Its an abuse for one n00b's ends.

I don't think that anything needs to be changed, but rather, if provided with proof (timemarked photos, or video), this should be considered an exploit.

  Yesh, I bought myself one of these, and I'm fiddling with the SDK (curiosity killed the programmer). I currently have it animating a few matrix code bmp frames at the moment. Hopefully I'll be able to read the game's HP and IS meters (bit tricky, but I've written code that'll snapshot that in the past) and route an approximation to the LCD. I might need a small gfx favor soon (my current one isn't "full screen" and is shiesty at best).

Wish me luck in my new "God I'm so bored I might as well program" venture.

  Tonight, a renegade group of E Pluribus Neo, known as the Libertas Verius deployed and executed several code bombs (not code pulse devices like we use) in the Downtown Hampton area.  Let it be known that these...monsters...have nothing to do with those who are loyal crusaders.  We do not and NEVER will condone the murder of bluepills.

E Pluribus Neo Crusaders that have been sighted at the scene assisting this group will be found and brought to justice.

Personally, I'm disapointed in certain Machine operatives, who seemed to just enjoy the bloodbath than killing the rogue EPN who had the manuals to disarm the bomb.  Hell, the Cypherite LO was very close to doing this, and I can't believe the words that are coming out of my mouth when I say I was cheering her on.

  Okay, I know there have been some ideas about making decompile reuse shorter, but I've had another thought on it.  Make the reuse timer a variable time.

Possbile formula: Max reuse timer - ((Decompile level - Item level) / 5)
If Negative, Instant, with no reuse

Explanation:

Test 1
Decompile level = 60
Item level = 40

Pretty much a guaranteed decompile, and the time would be short...maybe...2 seconds

Test 2
Decompile level = 60
Item level = 55

Harder decompile, reuse timer goes up

Test 3
Decompile level = 50
Item level = 49

If they succeed, reuse timer is the max timer it is now.

I know myself and a few others have had issues with ingame chat in MxO, mouse not moving, etc.  I spent some time and got it to fully work the way its supposed to.

CLOSE XFIRE

1) open WhereYouInstalledXFireAt\xfire_games.ini, find "Matrix Online" (there are several for launchpad), and update the following from

InGameFlags=ENABLE_MOUSE

to

Solution 1 (New XFire Interface))  InGameFlags=REINSTALL_KEYBOARD_HOOK|ENABLE_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT_MOUSE
or
Solution 2 (Old XFire Interface))    InGameFlags=REINSTALL_KEYBOARD_HOOK

Dunno if it was common knowledge, but it wasn't something I knew.  This fixes my issues with the mouse not moving, and also the problem of when I type in a chat window, MxO catches it too.

For the technical junkies.  Activating USE_DINPUT_MOUSE makes the mouse work, however, MxO will catch whatever keys your typing as you chat (happens to me).  So if you put a space in your chat, you're gonna jump.  This issue is fixed by REINSTALL_KEYBOARD_HOOK.

Edit: Reading up on xfire's forums, some keys are going through in other games (COD4, GTA:SA), so if a patch comes out, REINSTALL_KEYBOARD_HOOK may not be needed.

  Well this is month 2..or 3, I forget.  No SOE gamecards.  The Gamestops say they aren't going to be carrying them anymore.

So I drop in at Best Buy *shudders* and low and behold I see handfulls of Pirates of the Burning Sea gamecards....so my question is, since PotBS is a SOE game, do these game card codes work with MxO?

  Update: Finished the map with StrangeReporter's information.  I felt like this would help alot if a person got lost, or wanted to plan a route within for some farming (you can hit all rooms without leaving) or RP purpose.

Little houses are for what I consider "Home" locations.  [X]'s are for exits, arrows are for jumps, and paper clips denote jump destinations If a there is a small jump, there are icons to follow, ie <- 1 -> 3, which would mean, jump back to the previous room, and look 3 branches down.

  I'm rubbing my temples right now...I hate writing these...but it has to be said, because it's going to escalate into Round 2 if nothing is done.
...I've been a fan of CSR service and the such lately but I'm sorry, I disagree on actions currently taken.

So to the point.  30 mil for a entry into a tournament for the Assassin's Mask.  2nd and 3rd place prizes were also tempting, and worth a 30 million entry fee as well in my opinion.  Those prizes were delivered as promised to the rightful winners, and no one is complaining about that.  Everyone agrees that THAT was fair.  So, were all players who competed scammed? I don't think so.  Yes, most of the contestants were highly pissed off, since no one thinks about winning a 2nd or 3rd place prize.  They were mad that not only were they "punked", but most of us are mad that a good person got punked out an item he deserves.  It doesn't matter who won first place...what matters is that the champion receive his reward.

If it is against CSR policy of not removing items from players and giving them to others, then what is this refund then?  Why ask about a date, time, and who the money was sent to, if that is not exactly what you are doing?  Items and money are nothing more that database entries.

If nothing is done, I'm sending my entry fee refund to the champion, and encourage others to do the same, to make up for where faith in the CSRs has failed this time.

  Today I opened up my atlas, and started to read up on some of the neighborhoods.  Some need to be updated...badly...  Uriah was never turned into a "free-fire" zone, but more of a weakling zone (no disrespect to any new players).  It just might be interesting if the community came up with replacement descriptions for these areas, to bring out more information out on them, then these descriptions get integrated.
